And here is another thing. Hydra Husbands shippers are varied in their flavours. There are the HTP fans, the “let’s add third partner to the Hydra Husbands”, “let’s abuse the shit out of them because we love angst” and there are those, few but loved who write them complex, going through healing arcs and journeys, having a solid loving relation with all its complexities.
Hydra Husbands is not just one flavour born out of HTP and dedicated to satisfy angst, dead dove and “let’s see in how many ways we can abuse Brock, or Bucky, or Torres or whomever” and I am one of those who are *NOT* part of the HTP flavour. I love to see Brock and Jack happy, I love the AUs where they get happy, I lpve to see them heal, ride happy into the sunset and grow old together.
Let me tell you how hard is to comb and search through tags for these specific criteria because so help me, for the past years I skimmed and dodged all flavours of dead dove, angst and abuse and honestly, Hydra Husband deserves more than one flavour. And yes, may it be or not canon, welcome to the purpose of fanfiction and RP, create variety not just one thing.
So yeah, Hydra Husbands had sprung frok kinkmemes, HTP but they are more than one label, fans of this ship are not just falling into kink and HTP.
Long live redemption arcs and happy ever afters.
