[Spoilers for Issue III of Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles]

As the latest issue of Batman/TMNT shows, the Turtleverse continues to be relevant. Thank you Turtles Forever movie.

Also, we now have an official Batman/turtles mashup dimension where Bruce got to have a family and that makes me so weirdly happy.

what if the teenage mutant ninja turtles exist in the mcu but they’re just really good at staying under the radar and criminals are too embarrassed to admit they got beat up by some guys in “turtle costumes” so they blame daredevil. peter parker worked as a pizza delivery boy for a while and brought like eight pizzas to a man hole cover but thought nothing of it bc nyc

I feel like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is one of the only few franchises that could cross over with practically any other and it still somehow make sense.

Another Fun fact: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is in canon with both Marvel and DC- kina.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started off as a one-shot that Laird and Eastman sold at conventions- which is why Shredder dies in the first issue of Mirage. It wasn't until a fan asked them where the next issue was coming did it become a series.

Since TMNT is a parody of Dare Devil (as discussed above) it’s not officially canon, but the Mirage comics would often have Marvel or DC parodies- such as-

The Weasel, which is a parody of Wolverine

And of course, Nobody who is a parody of Batman

Speaking of Batman, here’s where we can get official with canon. Because the IDW turtles have met him

They’ve also been in Injustice 2

Usagi Yojimbo, who has been in so much TMNT stuff he’s an official character of the TMNT universe as much as he is his own character.

Which- for those of you who have seen the “Turtles Forever” movie will know that all versions of TMNT are in canon with each other. Everything. From the Amazing 2003 series right to the Japanese OVAs.

Which means anything that has crossed over with TMNT is technically in canon with each other.

I guess if there’s anything to take away from this is that- don't be afraid to do that one-shot comic. Even if it's silly. You might end up playing with the Big Bois of the comic world one day.

Welp, I was right about the armour.

Shredder Theory

So, we’ve seen two pieces of armour that look suspiciously like the Shredder. Like his gauntlets, but without the long blades. The Foot lieutenants are collecting them

So what if The Shredder in this version IS the armour? Like its a mystic set of armour that posses whoever wears it

When Warron put this on, it CHANGED his body. I think thats why all the pieces are seperated. Because together they create the Shredder.

It would fit well in a show where mystic wepons and items are established already, and would bring together the two sides of the show- Foot and Mystic City.

I think a strong case could be made for Raph becomming Shredder, and then Leo having to take the role of leader to go after him.

It also means that it doesnt matter who wears the armour, even if thye defeat that person, someone else could become the Shredder.

I also thinkg Warron saying “I am your greatest adversery” could become true if he becomes The Shredder.
