Have you ever thought about how others would react (especially Korra and the girls and other acolytes) when it turns out that Pema's sermon about her and Tenzin being soulmates is a lie and they get divorced? I think it would be interesting to see it from the outside too, considering that she probably told a lot of people that her marriage was great and that's what love should look like. And then Tenzin gets back together with Lin and looks happier than before)

I actualy haven't thought about it too much.

Korra and Bolin want all the tea. They want every single detail of what went down for Linzin to get back together. They also try to interrogate Tenzin on the relationship in the past, but he's tight-lipped about it. They're too afraid to even try and ask Lin. Bolin asked an innocent question and Lin threw her papers at him.

I think they sort of see the entire situation as drama and free entertainment because it doesn't directly affect them.

Asami is respectful and empathetic to everyone involved. She finds out from Korra the advice that Pema gave her. Korra casually brought it up because she still doesn't really understood how messed up the advice was. At first, Asami is like "What the fuck? That doesn't sound like her..." Learning about that changes Asami's view on Pema.

Jinora probably already sensed that the love betwen her parents is nothing in comparison to what Linzin feel for each other. But she might have been in denial with her intuition until the divorce happened. I think she can feel a sense of how deep Lin and Tenzin's love is, but she doesn't truly know the depths of it.

For her, she probably has a better understanding of what soulmates are, and it wasn't her parents.

Ikki feels like if her parents are divorced, then soulmates don't exist. It shatters her "happy ever after" and fairytale view of the world and love. She seems like the type of girl who believes what she wants rather than looking at the entire picture. She truly thought her parents are soulmates because Pema managed to make Tenzin fall in love with her when he was already in love with someone else and create the family they have. That part is really romanticized, and you can't blame her because she was like 7.

With the acolytes, I can see some of them being judgmental about the whole thing. Especially ones who felt annoyed by Pema preaching that she was married to Master Tenzin, they're enjoying the karma unfolding. Some are like "oh so he basically just used her for some kids and when airbenders came back, then he went right back to Beifong."

I don't think many acolytes try to hit on Tenzin bc of Harmonic Convergence AND him going back to Lin tells them that none of them ever stood a chance against her.

Su "kidnaps" baby and brings her to Toph, while Tenzin and Pema are fighting about what to do with their marriage. She tells Kya and Katara, so that they know.

Pema's postpartum emotions are really intense this time around, so she's trying to hurt Tenzin for hurting and betraying her.

Tenzin realizes his daughter is missing and gets a call from his mother saying that she's fine and taken care of. But she doesn't tell him where baby is. She says that she'll let him know when the family situation is settled with Pema.

While he's suffering, baby is in the Fire Nation with Zuko, Toph, Katara, Izumi, and Su. She's being well taken care of by the last of the Gaang.

Lin's death and legacy brings them together, and it's a heavy weight in Toph's heart.

Tenzin will not allow another person to raise his child. He made a promise to Lin and that's his daughter. He will protect her however he can and give her the best life he can.

He's familiar that he can take the divorce to court since Pema won't grant mutual consent. So he does.

He does not want to live an act.

It seems acting for the sake of saving face would have been enough for Pema, but not him.

All he asks is that his daughter is protected from anything related to the divorce. Considering that his daughter is not in Republic City, it helps ease some of the stress. But Tenzin is dying to know where she is and if she's okay.

When he tells Katara that he will fight for the divorce, then she tells him they are at the Fire Nation Palace.

He spars Su as soon as he gets to the Palace.

Katara is cradling baby while they all watch.

Kya cheers for Su.

Zuko struggles to use the binoculars so he can see who's winning.

Izumi has to narrate what's going down to her dad.

Bumi brings some girl around to watch a Beifong beat the shit out of an airbender.

While i was reading the AU in which Lin dies at birth, i start wondering what would happen if Suyin find out the true. I mean, in there Lin dies at season 1, therefore this two never a never had a proper closure to their problems, but it's obvious that they still loved each other. I think Lin death would shock Suyin, but realizing she have a niece that's also Tenzin daughter it would be even more to process. Would she seek to take it away from him feeling that he is taking away a part of her identity by hiding who her mother is? Would she keep quiet and keep the secret also for the sake of peace? Or what? Just imagine all the drama this daugther would bring given that Lin is no longer around to protect her and raise her. :'l

Ohhhh yes, the drama doesn't just end with Tenzin and his family.

Su does her own investigation about her sister's death. Using her connections to get information from the hospital, she finds out that Lin died from severe bleeding and it seems to be from childbirth. The placenta hadn't fully dislodged out of Lin when she was found.

But there's no sign of the baby, so it's assumed the Equalists have taken the baby as their own.

Angered, Su sets out to go and find her missing niece or nephew in Republic City. She'll kill whoever has that baby and rip that Equalist's heart out.

Maybe she can team up with Tenzin.

As she arrives at the Air Temple, she sees that place has two babies.

Suyin tells Pema everything because she loses nothing by telling the truth.

Kya, Katara, and Bumi return to the island to help settle things.

Tenzin seeks a divorce from Pema.

She claims this will 1. protect him and the baby from the press, and 2. this is his "punishment." for cheating on her and fathering a child with the very woman Pema was insecure against.

Tenzin would overcompensate and invest a lot of his attention on this child as she grows up. It's mainly because he carries this guilt of what happened to Lin and it bleeds into his parenting with her. He feels like he killed Lin for 1) unethical pleasure and 2) she gives him the one thing he wanted during their relationship, but at the cost of her life.

Him being overly involved in his daughter creates a sort of divide in the family. She feels like Pema is her mom, but also not her mom. She views her siblings as her siblings, but there's a little bit of animosity from them at the same time. The older air kids wonder why Tenzin favors this girl over them.

Rohan sees her as his twin and they're good buddies together. Especially since they have the same birthday.
