i wish i could write daryan well LMFAO...i cannot capture just how cutie cutie baby his speaking is...i always make him like too normal. its in part reactive to the characters my friends wrote... he kind of has to be the Straight Man (bisexually) but i also do straight up write him too neutral ...its a pain... i dont write anything anymore but i wish i had his voice more accurate to canon...hes so cutie baby cutie cutie...

i wish the wider fandom played in the space of klavier and daryan as coworkers, like not just "haha i bet theres gavinners rpf" bc thats funny but i mean, you guys know they worked together right, like in law? before ema was klavier's detective, before daryan moved districts, he and klavier legit worked cases together.... i can double check but im 99% positive thats canon in the text lol (im only unsure bc its been a sec since i reread 4-3)

but they like worked crime scenes together and i just wonder if ppl missed that or smth. Bc it could be so funny. and you ppl arent PLAYING IN THE SPACE!!

And of course it reinforces how daryan and klavier were genuinely sincerely good friends and partners with a (presumably good) compatible workflow, read "its times like these i start to miss daryan" when klavier is bitching on the phone in his office..............Like! does that not suit your angst agenda to think abt how he and daryan were genuine honest to god Oomfies...!

now that my jury duty is over and i can legally talk about my jury duty, a short list of things that i have learned about jury duty:

when the judge wants to sidebar with the lawyers they turn on a static noise machine for the jury. this is very like the experience of being trapped inside a television

sometimes they load the entire court -- judge, lawyers, court reporters, jury, etc. -- onto a bus and take you all on a little field trip to see a crime scene. this is very like the experience of being in elementary school

when you are on a jury field trip you May Not share a seat, you May Not speak, and you May Not look at anything you have not been officially told you can look at. this is very like the experience of being trapped inside a point-and-click adventure except that instead of being limited in your investigation by the constraints of the game mechanics, you are instead limited in your investigation by the court officers herding you around like ducks with their long wooden Official Court Staffs

no matter how much an FBI agent may encourage the court to call him kevin, the court will not call him kevin
