While this is pre-90′s, no one can deny the impact that the Pixies had on the alternative rock scene with 1989′s Doolittle. Gil Norton produced this style of “loud quiet” that many, including Nirvana and the Smashing Pumpkins, would openly try to replicate throughout the early 90′s. Much love for one of the greatest alternative records of all time.
