River & Oaken - both highschool dropouts

Autri - currently failing college while showing up drunk

Jesse - nearly graduated highschool, but they forgot to call his name at the ceremony. he once snuck into a college as a 'student' 🙄

Psychic & Myth - no formal education, but highly intelligent/knowledgeable

Fear - no formal education, and not very intelligent either. can't even remember their own name most times.

Omega - has a degree in just about every field, including all the fields he pioneered himself

Chi - freshman in a private school owned by her dad, Omega

Sheila & Kayla - were both homeschooled

Oh hi there! Two questions about psychic actually.

first off what is his relationship with boyfriend like actual boyfriend? like does he like him? Does he hate him or does he just not care?

and also, this is just been in my head because I’ve recently been looking into Spark Studios’s mods, but has it been confirmed that psychic and Voltz are friends yet or was that drawing of them just made for the gallery and trailer?

He's pretty neutral on Boyfriend, purely because of the Dearests. Girlfriend loves him, but Daddy Dearest hates him. As a result, Boyfriend's standing sort of balances out in his eyes.

The Dearests aside, Psychic doesn't really care about Boyfriend in any capacity. He doesn't want him dead or anything, but he wouldn't really care if he died either... besides how Girlfriend would feel about it.

He only really 'saved' Boyfriend from Spirit because Daddy Dearest wanted to keep Spirit in the game. It just sort of happened to work out in Boyfriend's favor in the end.

However, if Psychic were to be asked directly by Daddy Dearest to kill Boyfriend... unfortunately Girlfriend's attachment to him would be outweighed by the pecking order.

As for Voltz, that was just promotional art the developer requested, but you're free to headcanon them as friends if you'd like! Anything FNF-related is technically non-canon to Psychic's actual story anyway, so go wild! :)

are psychomancers generally inclined towards religion? if yes, what kind? or does it depend more on their specific upbringing?

not at all, it's simply that religious organizations are the ones that tend to conjure them.

this is mostly due to the fact that in order to summon a psychomancer, you need a massive group of psychics that all use the same energy since birth. that explains the 'organization' part.

though, it doesn't explain the religious aspect. there are quite a number of psychic cults that would technically be capable of summoning a psychomancer...

...so why haven't they?

well, what they're missing is idolization.

the majority of psychic cults know that psychomancers aren't gods, or messengers. they are just obscenely powerful. they know that power can create things beyond their imagination... but they also know it can destroy everything just as easily.

it's not a power any of them want to bring forth, unless the world was at stake.

...unfortunately, more religious organizations tend to look past their destructive nature, idolizing their overwhelming power and likening it to their gods. some believe that psychomancers will be their saviors, but some simply want to use that power for themselves.

either way, it does more harm than good. but that won't stop any of them.

as for psychomancers themselves, they tend to be very neutral. especially in their early years, they are desperate to absorb new information. they can tell when their world view is being stifled, and quickly grow bored of whoever is trying to force it on them.

so most cults fail to indoctrinate them into their beliefs, but some psychomancers actually stay with them simply because they don't know where else to go.

psychomancers are slaves to 'purpose', and not having it is a horrible, crushing feeling. some find purpose in places they don't want to be, simply because they feel there's no other place to find it.

if psychomancers have an outer barrier protecting them from most forms of harm, is there any way to eliminate that? or would that just kill them?

well it's not only a barrier protecting their body from harm (more specifically their core), but also what's holding all their psychic energy together.

if it were to be punctured, all of their psychic energy would suddenly explode outwards in a catastrophic event. luckily, the barrier tends to bend around whatever's penetrating it.

if it were entirely eliminated, their energy would immediately disperse. without psychic energy, their core would no longer has a power source.

when a core is penetrated, the remaining psychic energy is absorbed into it, allowing for that psychomancer to be "reborn" when fed the same type of psychic energy.

however, in cases where there's no more energy for the core to absorb, it simply goes null and dormant. it no longer retains the 'memory' of that psychomancer.

so if you wanted a fresh untainted core, then somehow stripping them of their barrier would be pretty effective! if you survive the supermassive psychic explosion anyway.

hello river, im kinda curious why are psychic’s vocals from a different person than his voice actor?

at the time, we needed a chromatic to use for psychic. i remembered that my friend salvati made their own chromatic for an unrelated song (late drive), so i asked them if i could use it and they agreed.

later on after the demo released, pj came into my dms asking if he could do voicelines for psychic in the full release, and i agreed!

so that's pretty much the reason lmao

it's also the reason late drive was included as a secret in the demo :P

hai what are your ocs’ thoughts about being on a ship? like a cruise or if you wanna get extra fancy a yacht or smth o.O

River - She likes water, but she's also scared of being submerged. Would overall enjoy it.

Oaken - Would act indifferent, but secretly enjoys it.

Autri - Would find something to complain about, and probably get very drunk.

Jesse - He'd just enjoy the sophistication, and all the people to flirt with.

Psychic - He enjoys ships, especially historical ones. Not much point in riding one though, since he can walk on water.

Myth - She would do a pirate voice the entire time.

Fear - Would most definitely sink the ship, either intentionally or unintentionally

Omega - Would say he's not getting drunk, and then get really drunk. He tends to let his guard down while on vacations.

Sheila & Kayla - Neither have been on a ship before, so they'd enjoy the sights.

not patriotic at all, he couldn't give two shits about any country. he's only there to serve his master.

either way, he knows how corrupt it is. he's part of the corruption, and he's hardly arrogant enough to take pride in participating in the degradation of a society as a whole.

it's simply a necessary evil to appease his master.

he'd rather not think about it at all, because the moral hypocrisy is what keeps him capable of anything asked of him.
