I have never read Dracula and I never will, because my husband has read it, loves it, and I swear one of his favorite hobbies is to just hurl insane trivia at me every so often. Way too amusing to give up.

The Hunger Games has the FUNNIEST arranged marriage of all time btw. Katniss realizes she'll have to marry Peeta and she's obviously upset so Haymitch tries to comfort her by saying "you could do a lot worse" and Katniss is like "well DUH of course I could do worse than Peeta he's the best & handsomest person on the face of the planet but that's not the POINT I want to be able to choose for MYSELF". Then she goes and chooses Peeta anyway lol. Comedy gold I tell you

my favorite ship thing will always be the absolutely batshit things that they say to each other that get brushed under the rug because it’s too much. ‘yes, but it’s m-’ from the x files. ‘what goes on between us is ours’ from bones. ‘what does a girl want to hear?’ from the mentalist. half-declarations of intent that haunt the narrative.

Okay fellow fic writers, how do you feel about criticism? I’m okay with it, but I’m also of the mind that the critic then opens themselves up to a discourse? I’ve been doing this for awhile (fic writing) and people are very divided on the issue. So, thoughts?

Harry has been traumatized about a thousand times over. That doesn’t mean he’s allowed to treat other people badly. (To clarify my thoughts, Harry didn’t just mess up, he made a series of decisions over a matter of hours, long after his Voldemort driven vision and as far as we know, he ever apologized for any of it. If we accept that he couldn’t control himself at all with the horcrux in his head then we have to accept that he had no agency at all during the entire series)

HP Rants: Order of the Phoenix:

Anybody else still angry that Harry didn’t believe Hermione in OotP about the Ministry being a set up, and even when she concocts a plan to allow them to get rid of Umbridge in order to go rescue Sirius (who was- as she stated- not in danger) he’s mad that she didn’t do it faster. And then when she still follows him to the Ministry, is almost mortally wounded, he still makes it all about him.
