Blog Hiatus

As of 9/13/2024, this blog will be going on an extended hiatus for an unknown length of time. I will not be posting anymore artwork.

A lot of things have been going on in my personal life regarding work, personal finances, and the dumpy place that I mistakenly moved to just because I was so eager to take my first adult steps by myself far away from my family. Since my move, I haven't exactly been in the right headspace like I was before when I posted my art to this blog. It feels...heavy. Boring. I genuinely don't like posting what I do, because it feels like I have to. Which is why a lot of my stuff is now privatized (and probably going to be deleted down the road, if I'm being honest). And I genuinely despise the downgrade in how my art looks with the shift to Procreate on the iPad. I think it all looks awful. FireAlpaca had a much higher quality to it on my old laptop.

I've put so many projects on my plate that I'm just disgusted with myself. With how I can't sit down and focus on one thing and enjoy doing it, like I used to be able to do when I was a kid. I'm disgusted because I hate working on them. They bring me no more joy. And I hate that other people like what I've done but have to wait for meager scraps. I feel like I'm letting them down, letting my followers down.

So, I leave you with this.

I will be stepping away for a while. I don't know for how long. I need to focus on trying to save my money back up so I can move back home. Maybe then will I start to feel like my normal self again.

Every story concept I've talked about is cancelled for now.

I'll probably check in every now and then just to see what pops up on my home page and like a couple pieces here and there.

Just a little Throwback Thursday type of post for my beloved SRMTHFG! community.

Hello! It’s been a while, hasn’t it?

Have you ever drifted away from a piece of media for a while and then rewatched it out of the blue, just to realize how much you absolutely adore said piece of media?

I can’t begin to describe just how much joy this silly monkey show brings me. But I’m sure that’s something we can all agree on. It’s such a massive comfort show.

Anyway, here’s a modern drawing of an old fanfic idea I had written down when I was a kid and also really in love with Alice: Madness Returns. It’s Chiro-clone Kira wearing the Royal Suit, the second visually best dress in the game (the first obviously being Late But Lucky). She’s carrying a redesigned Knightmare, now aptly named the Battering Ram. It’s a ram skull with metal horns that’s designed to tear through soft surfaces and pulverize cement.

Guardian of Playtime Co.'s orphans and child guests. Chased away from the Game Station by Mommy Long Legs, she found brief sanctity with Doey and other smaller toys before happening upon DogDay's group of refugees. She shares a singular consciousness with her oversized toy counterpart. She, her brother Huggy, and all the older toys are dressed to resemble members belonging to a barbershop quartet (though her and Huggy’s outfits are much higher in quality). Her body is a hodgepodge of various parts held together with surgical staples, pins, and rods.

She is currently looking after an injured DogDay and his group. She has hidden them away outside of Playcare away from CatNap's eyes.

I know it's been a hot minute since my last post so I found it appropriate to make another spookyish drawing.

When I was younger (maybe fifth or sixth grade, I don't really remember), I absolutely adored the Puppet Master franchise. My dad had gotten me one of the older box sets of the current movies out at the time and a Blade replica (he wasn't all that much of a replica though...more like a knockoff).

And I gave them away when I got bored of it.

Well, thanks to YouTube and its shitty selection of free movies, I saw some of the more recent ones and they blow absolute ass.

What does this have to do with anything?

Not much.

I just want to post about how much I adore those damn puppets! And bitch.

Jester is my son and Blade looks dashing with Coral Blue #5 lipstick. You can't tell me he doesn't.

I apologize for not posting in a while but I have some important news.

I have recently moved to a new city and so my posting might get a little more infrequent as I focus on familiarizing myself with the area. And also finding a new job but I'll take things one day at a time.

Happy late Easter, everyone!  I have decided to burden grace you with another glorious self-insert!  But this time...FOR WILLY’S WONDERLAND!

Shame?  What the hell is that?!

This self-insert is very special (lol).  Why?  Well, allow me to introduce you to my version of the script-only animatronic Regina Rabbit!

I figured since she’s only in the script and G.O. Parsons probably won’t do anything with her or the rest of the script animatronics, she’s free real estate and I’ll use her as my self-insert stand in!

I know she’s described as having a donkey-like appearance and being generally pretty ugly but you gotta treat yourself when it comes to things like this.  I’m not that mean to myself!

Some of you might vaguely recognize her design a little since I’ve been drained of all creativity and originality (yay!).  I designed her after the Late but Lucky dress from the Alice Madness Returns DLC!  With small changes to suit my lotus motif and my love for tailcoats.

And I can’t begin to tell you all how much I fucking adore that dress (right after the Royal Suit).

Regina is an albino English Lop rabbit and local horticulturist!  She specializes in lotus flowers and vines, which can grow right out of her paws.  She spends most of the time with her own little group (Beary Bear, Douglas Dog, Pirate Pete, and Pauly Penguin) but will frequently pester the Wonderland Band for shits and giggles.

Ladies and gents, Ozzie Ostrich being himself.

Ozzie is the kind of guy to say dumb things to be annoying on purpose, especially to Willy since he knows it’ll aggravate the big weasel.  Of course, Willy knows it’s just how Ozzie is and doesn’t take it too personal (for the most part), even taking delight when Ozzie annoys Jerry and his crew.

I do also have a soft spot for Mortimer but that’s only because his model from the first game is absolutely gorgeous and sharp.  Gotta love well-dressed men.

Daisy and Nick are total goobers.  I love the two of them dearly (in fact, I love literally all the puppets) but not as much as Riley and Mortimer.
