Been helping to organize this show for the pass month and a half. Uprooted in Solidarity was a vision that came to me and my sisters of Aquemini functions under the thought of building bridges through our similar struggles, especially in the Bay Area. The political climate and economic race for survival are only one lens of viewing how we sift through this Yay Area lifestyle.

I put together a line up that I thought was different. Show casing artist, upcoming, OG, WOMEN(cause we need to put more women at the forefront of this hiphop culture), and folks who been holding it down and putting in some solid work. We got some dope vendors selling merch for the night, including my folks SAN FAM and BAYANI ART.  Slide through, show solidarity with your local artist, and come turn up with me, I’ll be performing new material and also premiering a new video.

Performing at two shows this coming weekend! This Friday night I’ll be at the annual PACE event S.P.A.M. headlining with my bro Mister REY. My set will dedicated to the national fundraising efforts for the Congressional Gold Medal for Filipino WWII Veteranos. PACE will be donating proceeds to the Veterans Equity Center. Then, this Saturday my squad and I will be at the Asian American Music Conference attending all the workshops and panel discussions for the day soaking game from some of the music industries finest. I’ll be performing at the showcase later on in the evening! I’ve got some brand new merch and I’ll be slanging some hard copies of the album. See yall this weekend!

It’s been a journey and a half creating this project and it’s finally here! I’m glad to be adding to my catalog, but I also wanna acknowledge this huge milestone for the community of the Soma district that helped raise me. It’s an honor to be performing at the I-Hotel with some good friends of mine. Me and the squad were really particular in this venue space because of the historical context and also because of the political climate that were currently in. It’s in direct correlation with what we planned in terms of the album vision. We’ll have some merch including copies of the album, some dope guest appearances, and a couple more tricks up the sleeve for all my folks that have been supporting my music since day one. This is an all ages event so feel free to bring all of the fam. Let’s break bread AUG 26TH!
