Shoutout to the time I was saw the Zapdos running around. I was in awe, it's the only time I've seen a legendary (I was cowering in my room when Eternatus happened, was too far away anyway) and while my heart was racing and my jaw was hanging open... Someone started chasing it with a bike. Funniest and most baffling moment of my life.

i've heard that there are or were a group of pokémon in galar that highly resembled the kanto legendary birds. do you have any idea why two sets of pokémon could look so alike if they aren't the same?

This is another example of convergent evolution! This example is more speculative, though- we don't actually know if they'd be related or not.

If you're familiar with wiglett and diglett, sometimes two pokemon will evolve to look very similar in order to fill similar niches in the ecosystem. I'm not sure what niche the legendary birds are supposed to fill, but whatever it is, it's reflected in Galar as well.

Route 5, a very nice route even if I'm bias, I'll miss it. It has the Garderie daycare and a lot of pretty nature. Also the view from the bridge is breathtaking (it's foggy today, cause of course it is lmao)

It's also where I met Betty (exact tree featured here) she fell square on my head and concussed her way into my heart. Funny story, I tried to return her to the tree several times because even if she's just a small thing she's still a dragon type, you know? I'd heard horror stories. However she refused to leave my hand. Really touched my heart.

Ok. Ok. This is it. I'm doing it. My journey to Paldea has officially begun.

I've decided how this blog will work. The posts will be kind of staggered in time to protect my exact location so I won't post things right away when they happen unless something mind blowing happens. (criminal activity, Eternatus returning etc etc)

Place bets on how far I'll get before I start regretting my decision to walk cross countries!

This feels passive aggressive though, right? Like don't come crying to us if a wormhole opens and destroys your worldly possessions. Or if Kyogre and Groudon duke it out again and your anime figurines and book are burnt and waterlogged at the same time.

Hello there! Liam and my applin Betty here. For reasons I won't divulge I'm moving from Galar to Paldea. The reason I made this blog is that I've decided to walk there! I just need a place to journal, I suppose.

Despite the enthusiastic text next to my cutie I'm actually not leaving right when this post will go up, I've still got to deal with packing so it'll be a few days. Now. I'm, uh, not exactly a trainer. Battling gives me anxiety so this won't be a gym challenge or 'mon catching blog unless something crazy lucky happens.

If this doesn't interest you... I don't blame you! This will be a long trip as this perfectly intact and highly accurate map will emphasise.
