Though I was happy Van Gogh Gone (Remembrandt 2) made it into the Deseret Book spring ad, I was a little confused by the book summary. The first sentence is perfect, but I'm not sure who wrote the second one or who even wrote that book! For those that have read Van Gogh Gone, you'll understand that Alex DID NOT go anywhere with her roommate nor did she rescue a colleague. God and I are going to have a serious discussion when I get to heaven. Without fail, every pregnancy around 6 months a pinched nerve in my lower back becomes so bad, I walk like I'm 100 (I seriously need a cane!) and scream in pain at random times when I have to lift my leg or sit or lift . . . I usually don't complain until it acts up bad enough that I can't run. Which happened yesterday! I thought I was out of the woods since I'm almost 7 months. Nope! It's back. I can get the worst pain to go away with a few weeks working with a chiropractor, but until then don't mind me as I limp by. Maybe I will get a cane . . .

The 2 things I love most about being an author (besides the actual writing), is visiting schools/book clubs and talking about writing AND giving copies of my book away. Most people don't realize that authors don't get stacks of books to giveaway. This little guy turned 8 today!! As the 3rd child and 3rd boy in the King fam, I was a little worried about more rambunctious chaos, but this kid has been a breeze - slept through the night first, easy and quick to potty train at barely 2, and always good and a smarty pants in school. Though he's not perfect by any means and definitely ALL BOY he'll always be my angel child and probably the main reason I'm pregnant with our 6th. Happy Birthday, Trevor!! #legolover #icecreamcake
