Due to Harley job as a rocketball champion, he had little down time to himself. And yet he found a mech thats much bigger then he is just rumbling around the area. It was disgraceful how security would let this one go, then again if security could actually touch this mech, it would be something. 

 “Hey you. Big guy, no giant mechs are allowed in the stadium. You’ll have to find somewhere else to rest. Sorry about that.”

Fear is literally not programmed into him. Yet he might learn it.

“Yes, I do go to school.”  He still had to learn.  He didn’t know everything.  Besides, he liked it.  His friends were there.

“Well, not really.  Things have calmed down some since the Emerald Spears haven’t been making a fuss.  There’s still regular problems though like natural disasters or machinery malfunctioning or the like.  I have had a little help extra help though.  Atlas has been helping out some.”  He just wasn’t really interest in having another responsibility.  He’d rather just play games with his friends.

 “Those idiots again? When will they ever learn.” Of course being a robot who was also a star, he was more then shielded from the bad press and racism that comes from being a robot in a world that still hates them. But he is older then Astro, and the first years of Rocketball didn’t come without protest from the humans. They all had their fair share, especially to those who had highly developed ai during the early years of robotics. 

 “Atlas? Isn’t that the robot who’s a bit too supercharged?”

“Oh, I’m sure the humans would still want to see you guys play.  They may pay more attention to the new ones at first, but they’ll remember you.”  One would probably end up being more popular than the other, but they may turn out to be more even.

“I don’t know, Harley.  I’m sure it’d be fun, but I’m needed at the Ministry of Science.”  He didn’t want to dedicate all that time to sports when something could happen that needed his immediate attention.  It wouldn’t work if he had to leave games all the time to save the day.  “I’m sure there’s plenty of other robots who’d be interested.”

 “Come on Astro. What about school, and other things that the human kids do? Don’t you have that? You can’t be all about saving people.” In summary please enjoy yourself more Astro. Its not the same if your focused on one thing like you were built and programmed for it. Thats his, And Delta job. And Epsilon and possibly the Blue Knight.

“Oh, really?”  He hadn’t heard of that.  He hoped it didn’t put Harley out of a job.  He didn’t really see why it should.  There were many other sports out there and they didn’t shut each other down.

“Me?  I don’t know about that.  I’m probably smaller than what they’re looking for.”  They were probably thinking of making robots the size of adult humans, not children.  “I’m not really sure what I want to do besides helping people but I don’t really think I want to go into sports.”  It would be fun but he couldn’t see him doing that all the time.  Maybe he could just continue helping at the Ministry of Science forever.

 “Come on kid. Its not like its going to be a replacement. Sure its going to be cheaper then for robots my size. But all these human sports managed to survive so far. I don’t see why the both of us can’t. In any case, you have a lot of horse power then any normal robot could have. Your the perfect case for it.”

Not that Harley would push if things come to shove. But a kiddie Omega team? With Astro in it? Thats sure to bring in ratings and thats what the humans want right? Bigger ratings. Even if it means dumping harley on the curve. Not that Harley processor would admit that, even to himself. 

 “...Astro. Anyways can’t blame a robot for trying to recruit you. Can you? My sponsors won’t be thrilled, but I’m a sports robot, not a recruiter one. But at least try one game? Just for fun at least.”

 “Well you should have seen the last game. “ Before you know, Doctor Temma ruined it. But still. “Anyways, kid you got to know something. The producers are thinking of putting a game where more human size robots are turning up.” Does he feel threatened by this information? Perhaps a little. “You ain’t hearing it from me but I think you should join. Though rocket boots and super speed aren’t allowed. Its coming in two years. As soon as machine corporations start churning out special robots for it.”

Well thats new. Rarely do corporations make robots that big, especially just for unknown purposes. He must be a customized robot, one of a kind. But still-

 “Hey. No non players on the field. If you want to practice in it you’ll have   to speak with the boss.” 

The football stadium was hard, and heavily supported. This was meant for robots alone since the field itself was twice the length of any other normal football field. When your players are three times the size of normal humans. It stands to reason that everything is better when its bigger. 

Besides its the few places he can’t go. With his size its hard to navigate outside the stadium.

He’s three years old. 

He has a growing artificial intelligence stunted by his only exposure being sports and being treated like a sports star, hence he is not generally effected by humans being stupid unless it was the enemy team die hard fans. 

he is two times the size of a grown man.

He loves some good motor oil after a long day of practice

he needs to be charged constantly.
