One of hundreds of postcards that Bettie appeared on.
Bettie worked with many photographers during her trips to Florida (1950 - 57).
One was H. W. Hannau, a prolific photographer who had over 60 publications. Primarily noted for scenic 馃摳 of South Florida, Bahamas, Caribbean, etc. He also shot many pinups that were in turn sold to Florida Natural Colors, Inc. for postcard printing.
These postcards would feature the hand color technique as seen in this one, released in 1954.

Between 1950 and 1957 while she was modeling in NY, Bettie took many trips to Florida. It didn't matter what time of year it was, she loved the beach that much.
Here she is on Miami Beach, Nov 1955, 馃摳 by another Florida photographer, Jan Caldwell
This image has been enhanced, and I added color to Bettie 馃憤

Bettie mentioned that this was her favorite fur (rabbit) coat, which she wore so much it got holes in it.

I'm sorry that most of you aren't interested in these posts, but I feel that it is very important to show Bettie Page as more than just a pinup. She was a person with a life outside of the camera as well.
This is Bettie(18) and her mother, Edna. 1941, at her home in Nashville.

Bettie, at home in the mid 1950's with some tribal art from her personal collection.
Between her shoots with Bunny in 1954 at Africa USA and her trip to Haiti, she developed a fondness for collecting this art.
This is most likely a camera club 馃摳.
I have enhanced the image and adjusted the color馃拫

At the height of her popularity in the 50's, Bettie's image was everywhere.
This is one of two Ellery Queen Mystery Magazines that used her image for their cover photo.

I've waited so very long to post this.
Right before Thanksgiving (last year), a tumor was found behind my right lung. The biopsy came back sarcoma, and I was given the option of surgery and chemo or radiation.
After watching my late wife lanquish through chemo for almost two years, I opted for surgery and follow-up radiation treatments.
After 6 weeks of radiation, I got to ring the bell last Friday and was given this t-shirt (I really didn't feel well enough to take a pic until today).
Thankfully, I'm still here and will continue my sworn duty to keep Bettie's (and others' memories alive).
