"How are you going to say you're 20+ and still write in fandoms?"
If fandoms didn't exist, then you could kiss Star Trek, Doctor Who and other things goodbye because the fans became actors to appear on those shows. They still loved the shows as they grew up and they went on to direct and produce those shows, to star in them.
If it wasn't for writing in the first place, fandoms wouldnt exist and in your little mind, everyone would be little kids since thats where you think fandoms exist.
What about the fifty+ year olds who have lived through things youve never experienced, seen horrors and yet wrote about it into their work, into their fanfiction? They'll be the ones starting the fandom and wanting it to flourish, but you're barring the ones who have been there before you because theyre too old?
Without your elders there would be nothing to learn from, nothing to do. Nothing to see. No-one to guide you. Who would even make the stuff in the first place, for you then?
There would be no more shows, ever if that was the case. All writers in every industry are aged 30+ if they're truly experienced. Adults have to create for an audience, so let's take kids for example - do you expect them to resort to child labour, since fandom is "only for kids"?
How do you expect fandoms to continue, if people don't go through the natural cycle of life and leave, come back or even die in the process of creating, of living life as they dreamnt it? Wouldn't you want a world your family could explore, your friends could adore?
We're not machines, we're humans. we're keeping things alive. Just because you can't grasp that adults have hobbies they can't monetise, doesn't mean they still don't do it.
Its all about love and support and putting yourself out there.
That's the most human thing you can be; A fan with a passion

When you have a blast writing the revelation scene that goes heated (iykyk) only for my MMC to stop himself before it all goes off the rails because that is not supposed how his revenge would go...off the rails and quick and...yeah, hot

the most annoying people are people who don't understand storytelling. they be like "oooo how convenient that this thing happened to the main character in the very beginning". yeah no shit. that's why the story begins here
#well yes#it starts conveniently as we speak#then Things(TM) go to shit afterwards#that's the point#writeblr#writeblr shitposting

Twitter thread by Melissa Caruso about a labyrinthine magical bookstore in Syracuse, NY. Link to the first tweet in the thread; most pictures have image descriptions! Now here are the screenshots of that thread:

And then a hero of the labyrinthine magical bookstores of the world put all the bookstores that people listed in the replies on a map! (Google Maps link)

Deepest apologies to the well-thought-out characters that I created but never wrote the stories for.
#me with los cuentos de san vicente ferrer stories#i never got around them#even more so after the one who suggested it turned out to be my ex pretending to be someone else#so i lost my motivation#torn between wanting to go back there but with a different story or abandoning it completely#ugh

"the best way to screw jkr over is by making her characters queer!" actually. The best way to screw jkr over is to stop engaging with the property she still profits off of and read a different fucking book

Can I just say something honestly and very seriously to all you writers?
With the Internet going down the "nothing adult, no death, no nothing. Make it kid friendly" route,
Please don't ever stop making art or writing wips that are gruesome, horror, other things like that. Don't let the Internet sanitize how you wanna tell a story. Channel your rage into your art and keep going and don't give up

Not in my writing mood but made this drawing of a fanart of Raoul Whitfield's Jo Gar, his Filipino hardboiled detective solving crimes in American-era Manila. Should I further color it or should this stay as it is?

Hiya Monique! How are you and what have you been focusing on lately
Hiya Ash! Happy to see your message! :D
Have been busy lately and just got out of my creative slump. As of now, I am trying to get back to the groove by drawings using watercolors, pencils, and drawing pens and writing when feeling inspired, especially with my WIP Prodigal Heiress. I am also preparing for the Holy Week holidays while dealing with a rather hot summer in our place, and it would be one of the times I would have more time for baking projects (aside from baking bread every Saturday night). And I have just subscribed for the upcoming Dracula Daily because, why not?
Hope you are doing well over there! Much tidings to you!
