I have friends that lost everything or even if they were fortunate their place did not burn they are displaced because of the Eaton Canyon / Altadena fires. This is the United States right now! Dec 2024 and has been for some time. I add that we are also at this political moment due to strategic anti-intellectual rhetoric spun for decades. Funny now that more people of color are educated or becoming educated critical thinkers that the costs of education continues to skyrocket. The student debt crisis is a lever waiting to be pulled by Trump and his goons, in acts of attrition, to silence anyone who can critically "connect dots" and question power. Particularly corrupt corporate and corrupt political powers. It is obvious to me that if you drown thinkers in debt, they will be too busy surviving financial attacks that will silence them while testing their integrity in that pursuit of staying above financial debt waters. Articles keep touting how sensible student debt relief programs will be dismantled as payments will increase exponentially. Is it not clear to see, among all of the targets someone like Trump is vindictive about, it is the students. Trump and his cronies will use students movements to vilify student thinkers even further, especially on the topic of genocide. Of which we all know where he stands on the issue. In all, my point here is to state that Trump and his villainous assembly of yes-goons are weaponizing debt against critical thinkers. It is so plain to see.
