Couldn’t find the right background for my Home Screen so I made one.

I got a new IPad yesterday because my old one has been glitching out for years. I went with a refurbished one to save money and it was almost identical to my old one. I put my old case on it and so it really didn’t feel like a new iPad (minus the glitching). I decided it might feel more new if I changed the desktop something I never do. I found a few images online that felt close to what I wanted and took it upon myself to create something new. (Use it if you like)

P.S. If you know who created the Finn and Jake I would love to give them credit.

Okay, it’s me, Romeo.

I’ve been working hard on my latest book whilst dealing with some family stuff. It’s been slowing me down and that’s okay, life isn’t about making sure every second of our time is spent being “productive”. We are not cogs in the machine. That being said, work does need to get done and so I’ve been doing my best to sneak in some work here and there.

Below is the tentative title for “WIZARD FINS SCHOOL OF MAGIC”! *echoing into the distance* Magic.. magic.. magic.

Funny thing, I’ve been struggling with “style” as one does, and about a year ago I landed on this very polished clean style that you see below. It’s looks like a Saturday morning cartoon and that’s what I likes about it most. Thing is.. I also like a lose sketchy style and today I drew this Forest spirit above. It feels very similar to the style I developed below but with a little more.. sway.

Any way, it’s a graphic novel for younger kids, If you made it this far I would love to know which style you think fits best.

Okay, without sounding to desperate, can anyone tell me what they think of this style? The context is a novel with pictures (think how to train your dragon) for audiences age thirteen or so. I wanted to have something that looks great but not too rendered. I was hoping kids would see them and think, hey I might be able to draw that. Any feed back is welcome, thank you :) .
