Life
It has a way of fucking you over sometimes.
But it also has a way of making you appreciate it too.
You must go through the bad to appreciate the good.
The bad seems miserable at that moment in time.
You'll think to yourself what did you do to deserve this?
How you'd rather die than deal with another minute of it.
But right at your breaking point,
Something good happens.
You begin to question it.
"Why is this happening?"
"Is this a setup?"
In the end, you find out that the good thing was a gift.
Life was testing you so you can have something better than you had.
You just had to learn to let the bad things go.
Now you're happy again, but with something better than before.
You have to learn to appreciate all the bad things.
Because without those bad things,
You would have no idea what a good or better thing was.

Conversations With My Reflection
“Mirror, mirror on the wall.
Who is the most honest of them all?”
“Honey,
You’re lying to yourself.
You say you’re ugly,
When, in fact,
You’re a beautiful young woman.”
“Look at these imperfections.
You see my breakdowns.
You see the dead look in my eyes.
You see my acne.
You see my scars.
You see my ugly appearance daily.
You see my fat body.
How am I beautiful?”
“Yes, I have seen all of these things.
But that proves you’re human.
With a pure heart.
I’ve watched you grow all these years.
From immature to a brilliant woman.
You just don’t see that now,
But soon you’ll see.”
“I’ve tried many times to love myself.
I get knocked down every time
Just by looking at you.
Why can’t I look as beautiful as you say I am?
If I’m so beautiful, show me.
Because I don’t believe you.”
“I want to show you desperately.
I simply cannot, only you can.
But I need you to fully take in what you think you see.
You do not like this appearance so much, don’t you?
It’s your perception of yourself.
It changes with your mindset.
You cannot blame me for what you see.
It’s up to you to learn to fully love yourself.
Then you’ll look at me different.”
