Hii!!! YTTD fanart from my inprogress playthrough with @rookeryyy!!!

We took a 15-20 minute break from playing and 7 hours later this image was sitting on my screen fully formed. also rook drew sara's warrior cats purrsona!!!

Time Spent: 7 hours 24 minutes

Okay so first thing, if it's not obvious, this is them playing warrior cats on the playground!! We have decided they do this. Shadow the hedgehog and baby baby shadow are part of the awesome sillyness that happens when you make a drawing on vc!! Though baby baby shadow himself is a longer running joke between us.

Second thing, this playthrough is SUPER FUN !!!!! Chat and I split the voices evenly (somehow) and we've been adding on silly little bits as we play!!! Like Sara sleeping through the instructions of the gun game (and yet winning flawlessly) and Joe having unwaivering confidence in her.

Also Sara threatening to beat people up, as we see above <33

Though it DOES mean the game takes much longer to get through, especially if you're taking a SEVEN HOUR BREAK to draw FBDJHSBFH

the drawing was INTENDED to be a quick doodle but. as you can see. its gone past that

I had a good amount of struggle with Sara's fist, as I originally had her body turned away from the camera to look mainly at Joeheart, BUT it wasnt working, and I think it looks much better this way anyhow <33

The drawing was first sketched, then colored in grayscale, colors were put on by overlay layer, and after that I did a whole lotta paintover!! <3 As shown below

After I did the greyscale I actually had to use a gradient map to make the darks darker, cause I have a tendency to pick really light colors. All is well though!!

We decided that Sara would be leader of the warrior cats group on the playground, hence being Sarastar, and Joe would be a dog! She takes being a leader very seriously, including hiding snacks around the playground for her clan to hunt! I think I even smell a doritos bag by that bush over there...!!

It's not as obvious in my image as in Rook's, but we also decided that Sara identifies as a gun (because me saying "as a gunslinger" was misheard to be "as a gun"), and Joe is a furry.

so me and my awesome buddy @strawberry-seal77 have been playing yttd together and our last session devolved into doing bits and pausing the game to DRAW SILLY HEADCANON FANART.

this is what she TRULY looks like when theyre playing warrior cats. i must do joe too i was gonna do both of them originally

and yes she did roleplay all the way from kit to leader

i used to put "loyal" into like every single one of my characters' personality bios when i was a preteen so i just HAD to add it here it was nEEDED

i never put human accessories on animal characters either so i had to fulfill this trope its so FUN. i couldnt think of what wc accessory to use as a stand in for a school uniform anyway (some cool feathers or leaves that they all wear maybe??? idk). nor do i normally give cats human hairstyles!! MISSING OUT

also i deliberately capitalized SonobenoClan. it just felt right to do so here

also also i just think those hybrids that look like one half are so silly KSKSKS (cod... that concept can be so freaking cool too... lard) and i wanted to design cat sara so it only worked to our favor

the gun/cat hybrid and she/gun pronouns are such counterparts to me... it feels like the hybrid thing is oldschool silly oc trope and this is the newschool one. i love neopronouns and i love hybrids

joeheart doesnt know but... sarastar is actually from bloodclan... she used to get her fur cut like this... shes so cool... her stupid short-and-long fur <3 /aff

they bonded because hes a dog and shes a gun... BANG recognize BARK... they both make loud startling noises...

kai is a loner/rogue who's always on the edge of their territory that they scent him but never quite invading and they cant tell if hes actually playing so they dont know if they should give him a warrior name or what...? so hes just kai. he's like midnight i think. he might give like a weird prophecy or smth on occasion. we have fun here

3 hours of work (+3 hrs of doing nothing but chatting) before my computer dropped to 100mb of storage and crashed my krita and discord at 5am and then i went to sleep at like 8am. we were only supposed to take a 20 minute break to doodle. the call went on for 8 total hours.
