i also want to add, getting catfished is something very serious and i’m someone who did that, i will never understand how they feel because i’m not in their shoes. they told me things they wouldn’t tell anyone else, it’s not their fault for trusting me while i was just lying, you have no reason so don’t invalidate their feelings.

Honestly, deleting your account doesn’t do anything but make the situation worse. Don’t leave when things get hard. You need to take responsibility and stay. Gain trust from the people around you. If they meant something to you then fight for it. Apologize, acknowledge, try and move on. You guys were friends maybe it can become stronger if you just stick to the truth, explain and talk it out. Maybe overtime you guys can get back on good terms. People make mistakes but what really matters is what you do to make up for that mistake.
