Aphmau started to have gray hairs pretty early on. With all the stress she's been through, she aged fast. People often think she's much older than she is. For example she looked 21 at the start of MCD but at the end of Phoenix Drop Scalewind war, she looked like she was 20 year older, despite it only being 6-7 years since she became Lord. And the funny thing is, the lighter piece of her hair, this post for context, remains the same. So when she's 40, she has few black hair left.

Most of Aphmau's original wolves were buried in Scalewind. They were with Kiki after all. But Cookie was buried in Meteli, because she went with Cadenza. So when Aphmau visits both villages, she takes a day to go visit the graves of her wolves. Each one was buried with something that made them special. A collar, a flower crown, etc. The girls sometimes join her and Garroth visits occasionally. Kiki and Cadenza also visit occasionally.

Aphmau didn't want to be Lord at first. She had no memories, didn't understand what was going on, and two people were hurt. She just wanted to explore but life had different plans. She agreed to be Lord, as she realized two things: Someone had to do it, and everyone else was pointing at her. And this could help her friends to get stuff they needed. Like medical supplies.
So she became a Lord, and a mother. For five years. She grew to accept it, and was a great Lord. But after the timeskip, a part of her was happy she didn't have to be Lord anymore. Yeah, what happened sucked. And she wished that she had to be a mother to her kids more. But now she gets to explore.
But exploring taught her a lot more. Things were definitely different now. And people weren't safe anymore. So she made the island. She ended back at square one. But this time, she was going to protect a ton more people.

Okay sorry for the late post. As I said previously, I was working on something in the background. Sadly, it's not for Tumblr just some real life stuff. It's currently being worked on. But in the meantime please understand that post will take a while. Sorry again. Now on the main topic. I did poll awhile asking, what you guys would like to see. this was the last thing that got votes. Aphmau's Shadow.
So, many people can guess from my introduction to Aphmau's old family that Aphmau was once a girl named Amara. To put things simply when Vylad summoned Aphmau, something odd happened. Irene wanted a replacement, someone she can mold into a heartless goddess. But she can't do that if Amara already has her own views and beliefs. Also Amara definitely worships Kul'zak, so she tried to erase Amara. And she kinda succeed. Only one problem Amara wasn't gone, just not active.
I call Amara Aphmau's shadow cause that's how she was for the first season. She was a voice in Aphmau's head in her darkest moments telling her something was wrong. Amara doesn't hate Aphmau cause they are the same. But they're also different. They have different views on things and different ways of doing things.
After the timeskip, Irene joins the mind party. In the worst way. Irene tried to control Aphmau's every moment. And failed a lot, cause Amara didn't want Irene to control Aphmau. And Aphmau didn't want that either. So both would work together to keep Irene locked in Aphmau's head.
During the pregnancy, things got worse. Aphmau's energy went to making Alina. So determined to end this they recruited Lucinda's and Travis's help. Both of them combined Amara and Aphmau as one and sealed Irene in the darkest parts of Aphmau's mind. Now this didn't get rid of Irene, only temporarily shut her up. And Aphmau didn't regain any memories. Yet.
It wasn't until the end of the Tul'la shadow war, did Irene finally get kicked out and was forced to face the afterlife and Judgement's wrath.
Aphmau's old family would get to meet her, and a lot happened. But that's a story for another day.

Part 3 and final part. This is going to be all over the place, so I'll try my best to make this coherent. The first half is going to a question, and the rest is going to be how Leona found out about her heritage and the aftermath. Contains: crussing
The question I wanted to address is, Did the other Ro'maves know? And the answer is not for a while.
Aphmau tried to tell Garroth about Leona during the war after Lillian left the village. However Garroth was still being a dumbass, so he didn't really listen to Aphmau. The conversation went like this
Aphmau: Garroth, we have to talk. It's important. (Talking about Leona)
Garroth: I already know. (Upset about something serious that's why he's not talking to Aphmau. I'm not having the whole 'Fake Aphmau and Laurance kiss on my rewrite)
Aphmau: are you sure you know what I'm talking about, I didn't even say anything.
Garroth: I figured it out. Lord Aphmau.
He did find out about the truth, but it was after the whole Irene dimension, and after he faced some hatred for what he did. Garroth was so disappointed in himself for not listening. Plus he took one look at 15 year old Leona and immediately saw Zane.
Vylad didn't know until after the timeskip, this part is important. He wasn't happy with what Zane did, but gladly accepted Leona.
Zianna wouldn't find out until during the Tul'la war.
And as for Leona, she found out because of circumstances and Yip.
So as previously stated when Leona's father was first revealed. Yip was in the barn, and for obvious reasons he was terrified. Zane had burned down his village and killed everyone he knew. So to hear that the daughter of the man he feared was a few feet away from him. He was extremely scared and didn't like Leona anymore.
Logan and Donna would try to help Yip, but they couldn't force Yip to do anything he didn't want to. Kiki while upset that Yip wasn't as friendly with Leona as before understood the situation. Aphmau just asked Yip to keep the secret and be respectful. Which Yip could do.
After the timeskip Yip got to see Leona again. And he couldn't help but see Zane. He tried so hard not to, but it was hard. It took a long time for Yip to be comfortable around Leona. And the whole time Leona thought it was because Yip was challenging her.
When the Tul'la shadow war first broke out, Yip would take refugees from destroyed villages to the Alliance Island. One of these missions Leona tagged along. She would meet people who compared her to Zane to her face. And she would also learn about the amulet that she was made from. Leona remembered the amulet that her mother kept close to her, so she figured out that her father likely wasn't even a werewolf. So determined to get answers, she cornered Yip. And after Yip tried so hard to avoid telling her. He finally caved.
Leona was pissed. At Yip, at her family, at Aphmau. At the world. But she also conflicted. She hated Zane for all the bad things she grew up hearing he did. But she couldn't deny that she wished she had at least met the man. So when they finally got back to the island, she went straight for her mother. Determined to get the full story. And she did. And she felt sick to her stomach. Her father was a bad man, and she shared blood with him. But what could she do.
She tried to focus on the positives. She had Garroth and Vylad as uncles. And she was technically royalty. Even if she had no plans on taking the throne. During the war and even after it, she and her father's family had a long long talk about the whole thing. And she would keep living out her normal life, on the condition she would visit O'Khasis every once in a while. Zianna wanted to spend time with her granddaughter.

Here is part 2. This is going to cover Kiki's point of view after Zane left until the time skip. This contains people who wanted to kill a baby.
Kiki soon fell ill after the baby shower. Her brother thought it was some flu. Illness isn't uncommon, but it got worse. She could barely walk at times. She was in pain every second of every day. Despite everything, she refused to take off that necklace of hers. She loved the amulet Zane gave her. Unknowingly that amulet was draining her. Creating life out of a few drops of blood isn't easy. It needed life Energy, and it has one constantly nearby. So naturally it took what it needed.
It was killing Kiki, by the time Aphmau got her to the werewolf tribe, she didn't have much time left. Thankfully, she had ties to them. Werewolves' tribes are LOYAL, they don't like their tribe members being taken advantage of and Kiki was just taken advantage of. Khira, the female leader of the tribe, wasn't happy. She liked Kiki, she trusted her enough to allow her in the tribe, however, she didn't like Zane. She wanted the child dead, but Aphmau stopped her. Aphmau being a chosen mother herself decided to let Kiki decide.
It took a while, but with the werewolves' help, Kiki got better. Werewolves are very connected to nature and helped Kiki reconnect with nature. She helped Bodolf, and regain some of her strength. It wasn't much, but it was enough to keep her standing during long periods. After Aphmau came back with Logan, Donna, Garroth, and Laurance (when did they leave Pheonix drop), and two new people.
When she arrived back home, she immediately went home. She would attend the party later, but now she's tired. She told her brother about the child, and he wasn't happy for obvious reasons. But Kiki wanted to keep the child. She no longer loved Zane, as Khira and Bodolf told her everything Zane had done to the werewolves. But she didn't want to get rid of the child, as she felt like she could raise the child well.
And for a while, all went well. She manages to give the amulet enough life energy, and a baby girl is born. For some reason, the child had werewolf traits such as an ear in the tail. Kiki had read up on the amulet as soon she got back, Emmalyn was confused why she wanted the books in the first place. Apparently, the tribe the amulet was from was Meif'was. So, the amulet adds traits depending on what the main mother is close to, and in Kiki's case, it was werewolves. She didn't mind; it made it easier hide the child's origins.
However, the truth came out one day. It was after Zane and the Lord of Scalewind declared war on Phoenix Drop. While all the town folks were in the barn, outside of Garroth who was moping in his room, Lillian walked in and decided to cause chaos.
She revealed to everyone in the barn that Kiki had Zane's child. This scared some people Especially Yip, whose tribe was massacred in front of him due to the man. Lillian says it would be better for everyone if Kiki took Leona's life. Kiki refused and begged Aphmau not to make her. Aphmau claimed that she won't make Kiki kill her own child and asked (more like demanded) Lillian to leave town. Lillian left but not before saying "That child will doom this village to Judgements wrath."
Aphmau made Kiki swear that she would never reveal Leona's father to her. Aphmau then asked the town to keep quiet as well, they don't need more problems. Some weren't as happy, but all agreed.
When Bodolf and the wolf tribe came to Phoenix Drop, Aphmau pulled Bodolf and Khira aside. She explained the situation and asked for their advice. Surprisingly it was Khira who suggested that they claim that the child is Bodolf. Bodolf was surprised, and Kiki tried to refuse, while she loved Bodolf once she respected the two union. Khira explained that it would be something between them and the child. To anyone else, the child is just a werewolf Kiki is close to. It took some time, but as Kiki was packing to leave town, she walked up to Khira and agreed.
So, Leona was known for a long time as the daughter of Kiki and Bodolf.
But things can't stay that way forever.

I'm still working on that thing and other real-life stuff. So, here's a little snippet released early. Heads up this contains: Zane being terrible. Zane isn't nice in my rewrite. This is part one
Leona. The daughter of Kiki. And sadly, also the child of Zane Ro'Meave.
During the wedding arc, Zane stayed in Brendan's house. Brendan stayed with his sister, which she gladly let happen. She could use the extra hands anyway. But since Phoenix is a small town, with only a population of 28ish people, well 27 at this point, Dante hasn't come yet.
So, she was bound to run into the handsome young priest. Zane being the charmer he is, easily talked his way into Kiki's heart. However, Zane never once considered Kiki as a romantic partner. Kiki for the most part just wanted to get over the werewolf that held her heart, even after all these years.
Power is something that Zane always wanted. And while Garroth was next in line, a child would definitely make him more appealing to his parents. Zane had researched Irene and the other divines well, and one story talked about some amulet that would make you a child without having to touch the desired partner. It was used for an all-girl tribe that was in the Tu'la region.
With some bribing, genocide, and manipulation, he managed to get his hands on the cursed amulet. He was a bit disappointed that he couldn't understand everything about the amulet. But he supposed it didn't matter, as long as he gained that bastard child. His mother won't mind, that woman already had a bastard child herself. So, it's not like she judges him.
He originally wanted to use a noble lady; it wouldn't be that hard. However, more pressing matters made him go to a small town. There he met a lady connected to werewolves. The same tribe that the tribe he's "Helping" is at war with. And as a plus, she's in the same village as his disgraced brother. So, he can use her as leverage.
During the baby shower, he pulled Kiki aside. He gave her a pretty amulet, claiming it showed his love for her. The amulet had already taken his blood, and it quickly took her.
Clearly after the whole Alexis, he had to leave. He saw no need to keep an eye on Kiki. He'll be back for that girl.

Okay so here's a random headcanon while I work on something in the background. As mentioned in the Aphmau random things post, Aphmau has illusion magic. But to go in depth, it's not pure illusion it's her memory. Let me explain.
Aphmau has the ability to see the past and make others see it too. Example when she finds out what happened to Falconclaw through her power. She basically does that on a smaller scale. It's purely for her children, where she would tell stories and make little things out of her ability.
The things she isn't real, so you can't touch them. It's like a ghost. When the war of The Phoenix alliance happened, she would make a small version of Phoenix Drop and the Lords, guards, and her would make a plan. She did this in the second war she was in, the Tul'la shadow war. But those take up a lot of energy so she can't do it for long, especially during the Phoenix Alliance war.
But like I said, it's main use is for bedtime stories. She would make a small pond with fish, or people. Though she does make people, their appearance is slightly altered. Just a shadow covering their face or anything else that reveals their real identity.

Christmas isn't celebrated in the world of MCD. Instead, they have the Winter Moon. The Winter Moon is a simple holiday, and it lasts a week. How it's celebrated depends on two big factors. Where are you? And who do you worship? Each divine has a certain tradition connected with the holiday. Kul'zak travels either door to door or to the forest depending on the person. Esmund volunteers to protect things or someone, again depending on the person. But there are a couple key things that are always celebrated.
The first day is about kindness, people will be on their best behavior. Mostly. The goal for this day is to turn over a new leaf and try to be a better person for the next year.
The second day is for the champions. A competition will be held depending on the village, typically those with guard academies. The competition is for the town to see who the best fighter is. The tests are based on agility, strength, swordplay, target practice, etc.
The third day is about self, where many focus on their tasks. If you worship a certain divine, this is the day to do whatever the task is. If not, or if you don't want to, you can focus on hunting or your skills.
The fourth day is about trade. This is the day the merchants love most. The name is pretty simple: merchants try to sell as much as they can. It's like a competition for the merchants; winners get bragging rights and more money.
The fifth day is the day of the festival. Plays, music, games, drinking, etc. It's commonly known as the day of the community. This is because most of the festivals take place in places where the most people will be.
The fifth day is the day of the feast. This day is self-explanatory. The family you are closest to whether that's blood or self-made will hang out and eat together. The feast can be small or big depending on the number of people and whether you're on the road.
The 6th day is the day of the Moon. This one is about new chapters. Depending on who you ask, it's called a day of relaxing or the Day of Promise. This is when you stay inside, light a candle, share stories, and forgive those who wronged you. At the end of the night, it said once the sun has risen wants more after that a new beginning shall be born.
The seventh day of new beginnings. This is when you open your windows for the first time since the 6th day. And letting new air and supposedly removing all the issues from the previous year.
Some villages have different things as well. O'Khasis, on the day of the self, will require you to go to the Church of Irene. In Meteli, do they have the day of trade often taking place on the docks.
Phoenix Drop once didn't have a special tradition. But under Lady Aphmau's rule, she emphasized the importance of community. So, a big show would often take place in the central marketplace. It's still there to this day under Lord Levin's rule, but he decided to focus more on the seventh day, making it so people should leave their houses and talk to new people.

Name: Ein Shalashaska
Age: 34
Occupation: King of his Island.
Ein cared about his family. A bit too much some say. But Ein didn't care, all he care about was making sure his family stayed safe. He would lose anyone again. Not after what happened. Not after the day his family fell apart.
Ein always loved Amara. She was kind, curious, and a troublemaker like him. They would get into all kinds of chaos, so much so that their father often punished them weekly. But they didn't care; they were just having some fun. Being half werewolf and half elf, Ein always connected with nature, and Amara understood him. They would spend hours on end in the forest that surrounded their kingdom, just roaming and exploring the ruins.
But everyone has to grow up, and Ein and Amara are no different. While they would still take strolls on the forest path at times, both of them grew busier and busier. Ein was in charge of the military section of his kingdom, a position he didn't really care for. He much prefers making potions to training an army for nothing. They were isolated for Judgment's sake, why would they even need an army. But he still took his position with honor, teaching the recruits how to infuse poison and magic into a weapon.
Everyone was surprised when Ein chose Judgment for his choice of God. Judgment wasn't a very well-known or well-liked god. Being the God that judges you when you die, they aren't a God people like to think about. And since the history books barely mention him, people tend to forget that the Divine even existed. But he was real, at least to Ein and who were the kingdom to judge him.
He finally had everything. His family was safe. WHY WERE THEY ATTACKED?
Ein will never forget those weeks. The ones leading up to the incident and the weeks afterward. It came as no surprise that Amara picked Kul'zak to be her God of choice. In fact, it was the fact Amara picked a God to begin with. She was never the religious type, but she claimed she wanted to do it and who was Ein to stop her.
Something had been wrong since the morning of the incident. Amara claimed she wasn't feeling good, but Claire chalked it up to nerves. Then Amara started to daze off. It was nothing major, just something their mother had to remind her to sleep more. Then came the headache. Their dad said it was just stress. THEY WERE ALL WRONG!
The ceremony started out normally. The throne room was decorated with all the divine symbols and colors. In front of the thrones were small alters decorated with things important to the divines and what they stood for. Amara came out wearing Kul'zak's colors and walked to the altar. The Priest and Shaman both stood at Kul'zak's altar. The Priest said some words about the divine and other things while the Shaman prepared the knife and herbs. It's customary on their island to gently stab your arm with a ritual knife and drip your blood on the herbs which will be in a cup on the altar. But as the Shaman raised the knife, Amara was surrounded by a bright white light. She was scared and confused, but she was gone before Ein could get to her.
Ein looked everywhere for her. The forest, the kingdom, the dark alleys, the bars. But she was never found. She was gone. Soon rumor came. Some say Irene was mad and took her, others said that she was kidnapped, and some claimed she was killed. Ein never gave up looking for her. He upgraded the army as best as he could. Just in case something like this happened again. He took the title of King more seriously, barely doing anything else. Expect for loving his husband Blaze, but that's a story for another day.
Well, there is one big thing he's been doing. 19 years ago, there were rumors at the dock that a new village alliance was popping up. The traders of their Island were the only one's brave enough to leave and return, and they were the only ones with permission to do so. But now he finally has a face to a name. APHMAU. She looks so similar; it couldn't be a coincidence. APHMAU, she to be HER, his sweet little AMARA.
Don't Amara you see your family real soon.

Name: Claire Esmeralda
Age: 38
Occupation: Queen of her island
Claire is many things, but social is not her thing. Despite being Queen, she never wanted to deal with people. She preferred staying inside and holding her family close. She wanted to make sure her family never got too far. Not after that day. Not after her little sister.
Amara. Her baby sister. The one she lost. Enki, why didn't she spend more time with her? She remembers the day Amara arrived. Claire was 11 at the time. She was studying in the library when her father came in to call her for a family meeting. Her father told her and her brother that a young girl was found in the forest by her mother and would be staying with them for a while.
She didn't pay the girl any attention at first. She simply thought that the girl would stay for a few days, and then leave for her own family. But as time passed, she started to realize that Amara wasn't leaving. And while it took a while, Claire started to enjoy her younger sister's presence. She even started to teach the girl things, like how to read and write.
When it came to all three of them to rule, she took the position with pride. As a follower of Lord Enki, she gladly took over the paperwork side of things. She let her sister due with people and her brother deal with the fighting.
Everything was running smoothly. Everything was normal. WHY DID IT HAVE TO CHANGE?
Her sister was always running around exploring things or talking with everyone. So, it was no surprise when Amara chose Lord Kul'zak as her god. It was a god that fit her, even if Claire didn't understand the Lord's teachings. But she did her best to make the ceremony as special as she could.
Things went wrong fast. Right as her sister was about to get sworn, a bright white light surrounded the girl. And in the brink of an eye, Amara was gone. She panicked. She looked high and low for her sister. But nothing was found. She was gone without a trace, much like how she arrived. Claire lost her. And in a way a bit of herself.
Now she's a mother. She has a son. Andy, her pride and joy. She's a bit overprotective of him, but nothing too major. Her husband makes sure the boy has some freedom. She still runs the kingdom, although she doesn't really talk to anyone outside of her family. Honesty the fact she got married was a miracle. She lets her brother handle the people.
Speaking of her brother, why is he asking for permission to leave the island? What is he planning to do? Why is he still looking for Amara? And why is this Aphmau character so important to him? What's going on?

Name: Zack Shalashaska
Age: 65
Occupation: Currently retired formally the King of his island
Zach was a strict but fair ruler. His voice demanded respect and 99% of the time he got it. But how quickly did he turn soft when it came to his family. A stern look from his wife sent chills down his spine. A pleading look from his only son, made him spoil the boy. One look from his eldest daughter, made him want to hear her ideas. And his youngest, the daughter he had lost, the one he would listen to as she told him her stories.
Amara. His youngest daughter. Oh, how he misses her. He wished he had done more with her. With his family. He still remembers the day his wife brought the child to him. Begging him to help her. Not that he needed much convincing, as he almost immediately ordered a doctor for the poor girl.
Remembers her so clearly. While the other two were his flesh in blood. Amara wasn't, but they loved her as much as she loved them. She was bright, curious, adventurous, and habitually getting into trouble. Every night as the family gathered at the castle dining hall, they would each tell stories of their day. Amara was full of things. Forests, magic, and animals. Though it was always enjoyable to listen to.
When it came time to pass his crown down, he was admittingly a bit nervous. But the three thrived in their new roles. His son was in charge of the military, his eldest daughter was in charge of the political side, and his youngest dealt with the needs of the common people. He was so proud.
He was happy. He relaxed. HE SHOULD HAVE PAID ATTENTION.
It was the day of Amara's ceremony. The girl was the only one of his children not sworn to a divine. And even though no one cared, she wanted to be like her siblings. She chose Kul'zak, the wanderer, it made sense given the girl loved exploring. She was about to say the final words. When suddenly a bright white light took his baby girl away.
He searches everywhere with his wife and children by his side. However, she was nowhere on the island. And he was too afraid of leaving his island to search. So, after three years, he called off the search. And his baby girl was declared gone.
His wife and eldest daughter grieved the hardest, while he tried everything to keep his family together. As his whole kingdom attended the funeral.
Years later, he's a grandpa. Both of his children have settled down and had their own families. He gets to see them often, and he loves spending with them. He knows about his wife's outing to the forest. Sometimes he even joins her. But he mainly prays to Lord Kul'zak that her spirit is free.
However recently, his son has been talking about leaving the island. He said, "He found her", but that's impossible. Besides even though Amara and this "Aphmau" share a face and what sounds like personality. He can't be her. Right?

Name: Sylvanna Shalashaska
Age: 62
Occupation: Currently retired, formally the Queen of her island.
Sylvanna Shalashaska was a kind ruler and a loving mother. Although having three children was not easy, even though none of them were hers, she loved all her children and ensured that good lessons were taught to them.
She was the first to find the young, hurt, malnutritioned, five-year-old. She wasted no time taking the girl to her castle, to her family. Everyone accepts the girl into the family. So "Amara" became a member of the royal family. The girl was odd and clearly wasn't from the island. However, with no one to claim the girl, and the people refusing to leave their island. "Amara" stayed. On the girl's 21st birthday, the girl would start preparing to rule along with her two other siblings.
Everything was fine. Everything was fine. WHY DID SHE GO?
It all happened so quickly; she was gone before the sun reached the middle of the sky. Amara was complaining about light-headedness and sharp pains earlier that day. Sylvanna just brushed it off as her daughter being ill. Why hadn't she paid more attention?!
Suddenly in the middle of the ceremony, one that was going to make Amara pledge her loyalty to one of their gods. Lord Kul'zak. She vanished in a bright white light. Sylvanna and everyone searched the island. But no one could find her little girl.
Despite everything, Sylvanna still holds out hope that her baby girl is alright. But it's getting harder and harder to, as her age catches up with her.
She now spends her days in a big house on the hill with her husband. Taking care of her grandchildren, and relaxing. All though, every year, she just walks around the forest. It was Amara's special hiding spot. Every year, she hopes that she finds her daughter playing with the animals. And every year, she finds nothing.
Although Amara is alive. Just lost. And busy, with her life. An island for village alliances isn't going to run itself. Besides Amara has kids now. Maybe one day, Aphmau can show her mother the grandkids Sylvanna has.

So in the recent poll I did, the small thing Aphmau does won. So this will be a small fanfic. For those who want the other stuff, don't worry I'll still do them. Now onto the story
1. Singing, so much singing.
It was no secret that Aphmau liked music. It was one of her favorite things. And while she loved to dance at festivals, her main talent was her singing. She wasn't perfect by any means, but she could hold a tune. After a few days of her arrival, she was already fixing up the town. New pathways were laid down, houses were being fixed up, and a small plaza was in the works. However Brendan, who often worked along with Aphmau when he wasn't busy farming, noticed something. Aphmau kept singing. It wasn't that unusual, singing a song can help you keep going. But it was the fact he didn't recognize the songs. Now Phoenix Drop is isolated, as they don't have a dock and it's a long walk to Meteli, so people figured it was some song from another village. But he wasn't from Phoenix Drop, he traveled and he never recognized any song she sang. Oh well at least the songs were catchy, even if the words can get dark.
2. Odd Language
Everyone cusses. That's just a common thing. Now some people try to not swear as often as others but everyone has their moments. So when Aphmau was helping Molly cook dinner for her family so she could learn how to cook herself (and cause she didn't want to go back to her new empty home.) it was inevitable that something would happen. A simple mistake, one everyone makes, touching something that was way too hot. Aphmau pulls her hand back and shouts something. What she said Molly couldn't understand, and she was busy helping Aphmau with a burn. It wasn't until Dale questioned the language over dinner did she realize what was said. Aphmau shrugged and kept eating. Molly was concerned, but chalk it up to Aphmau's memory loss and the language being instinct. She would ask Emmalyn about it tomorrow, maybe she could teach it to her baby.
3. Weird payment
Logan was a merchant, a traveling one at that. So he knew how different regions paid. He made his payments clear, and only accepted different payments when they were worth it. As much as he complains, he had to mention Phoenix Drop had some good resources. The mines were full of gold, the natural fauna was easy to hunt, and Brenden would give him a piece of farmland. It was still a shithole, but a profitable shithole. His oddest customer had to be the Lord of the land. She still paid in his currency, but she also paid for weird things. Things like cloth, fox fur, fish, the list goes on. Now Logan more than not accepts these things, mostly cause she was buying cheap stuff and giving him valuable things. But it made him wonder where the hell she got the stuff. But if there's one thing he learned from his years of being a merchant, it's to not ask questions.
4. Poison
Garroth loved being a guard mostly. He wasn't happy dealing with Dale's drinking habits, but he put up with it. The new Lord Aphmau, gained his attention faster than he thought. First it was the fact she didn't know anything about her past, second it always felt like something was off with her, third she didn't understand her emotions, and finally she could eat raw meat and be unharmed. All of these facts made him suspicious of her. But she was doing good, so he settled for keeping an eye on her. One day he was in the plaza learning about poison from Emmalyn and Donna, more specifically poison antidotes. With two people being shot, and him being poisoned along with the arrow wound, he figured he should know how to handle any poison just in case. Aphmau happened to walk by and asked about the strange liquids in vials. Emmalyn, jokingly said they were a drink. And with no hesitation, Aphmau decided to drink one of the vials. Thankfully the one she drank wasn't immediately deadly but it was still concerning. Garroth decided to practice his new knowledge and try to help. Only to find no mark of the poison. The poison targeted the veins, but Aphmau's was fine. Aphmau, who couldn't read the room simply told Donna and Emmalyn that the drink wasn't good and left. Garroth decides to end that lesson early as he tries to figure out how the hell his lord is alive.
5. Pocket dimension
Aphmau has magicks. Zoey learned this a while ago when Aphmau decided to make illusions of different things when she was telling Levin a bedtime story. Magicks aren't rare nowadays, but it's not everyday you see someone actively use it. Pocket dimensions however aren't common. At all. So Zoey was extremely surprised when Aphmau just pulled a book and quill out of nowhere. When questioned, Aphmau simply responded that she always had this ability, she just uses it to store small items. Zoey spread Levin's nap time asking a million questions to Aphmau who was happy to answer as many as she could. From that day forward Zoey would catch Aphmau putting and taking out things from her pocket dimension. How Aphmau has enough knowledge and magicks to keep that dimension stable, Zoey has no clue and she had a feeling Aphmau doesn't either.
6. Way too many animals.
Kiki loves animals. That's just a well known fact. But having your Lord walk up to you and ask if you can care for a dolphin was a new one. Dolphins are easy to take care for her, she can care for elephants so dolphins are a piece of cake. A pack of wolves is a different thing. When Aphmau goes on her adventure, Kiki takes care of the wolves if Aphmau leaves them. Now Kiki can handle wolves, but the fact Aphmau has this many had her asking questions. Mainly where did these wolves come from? Because while wolves can be found at Phoenix Drop, you have to go deep in the forest. But honestly with the amount Aphmau travels, she wouldn't put it past the Lord to have explored the forest. As long as Kiki gets to care for the lovely things.

Some fluff about wings (UPDATED)
Aphmau can fly, she has wings after all. After she and the gang rescue Levin, Malachi, and Zoey and arrive at Phoenix Drop they rest. The night they came back, Aphmau just laid there. It wasn't uncommon, but it was odd as she was exhausted. But she couldn't sleep, all she could think about was her new form. She said out loud wondering if she could fly, which earned her a pillow in the face by Katelyn.
Travis was curious, so he offered to help teach her. He wanted to help, but he didn't have wings. So, it didn't start the best. As the first thing Travis did was pushed her off the big tree, which failed. The whole thing started slow. She first learned how to glide, which she was so happy about. And after many crashes, she learned to land properly. Finally, she learned how to fly completely. By the time the Alliance Island arc happened she could and did fly around easily and often.
During her flying lessons, she was taught by the gang. She didn't want to bug the residents of Phoenix Drop, and the gang often traveled. Let's just say everyone found out how strong Aphmau's grip was during her training. By the time she finally got the hang of flying, she would start to play some pranks on her crew. She would fly down and gently pick up them and fly them up a few inches off the ground. Travis and Isabella love it, the others not so much.
When the girls came, she would gently pick them up and hold on to them tightly and fly them high in the air. It scared the crap out of everyone when she first did it with Lilith, two days after they got her. And a month after Alina was born, the same thing happened. But Aphmau kept doing it, because it both calm the girls, and she wanted them to experience the skies. Lilith loved it the most, it's what spark her love for exploring.
The only downside is that Aphmau's wings need molt four times a year. This can cause her to be a bit grouchy during molting season. But she makes good use of the fallen feathers.
