I needed this so badly. I'm terrible at drawing and in my art class every is better and far ahead of me. I was thinking about dropping the class and never touching a drawing again. But this really helped.

This has been something that has been bothering me for the past few years, every time I encounter someone who’s just started as an artist, they put themselves down because they’re intimidated by artists who are more experienced.  Intimidation is something that every artist has (or will) encounter in their lives, and they need to pull through that fear in order to grow as an artist.  Take that intimidation and be inspired about it.  What makes it intimidating?  What makes their work look so unique?  That’s where your learning opportunistic moments will occur, you find those reasons and you create something new out of all that you’ve learned! I believe that anyone, ANYONE, can become an artist.  It takes dedication and determination, but I promise you that drawing is one of the most rewarding art forms I’ve ever experienced.  You will always learn something new with it, therefore, the fun never stops!

ADVICE FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY:

wait until it gets dark and make tea or coffee or hot chocolate, or if it’s too hot outside make yourself a healthy smoothie with your favorite things in it at any point during the day

So I'm doing a minimalist poster for Avatar the last air bender and I was thinking if drawing aang's staff as the logo? I have never done minimalist before so Im not really sure. Help here guys? I was also thinking about gyatso's necklace next to a fire bending helmet? Idk I don't do minimalist art so I could use some help guys :)

I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND

So majority of my life I’ve been surrounded with people I don’t particularly get along with. Like I had one group of friends and none of us had anything in common. I love em but ya know, it’s nice to have friends who share interests. My kind of people are the weirdos who don’t give a shit about what people think and are just they’re fun and crazy selves. Who aren’t judgemental, love anime and games and yeah. I FINALLY FOUND THEM. In my art class I have found the people who are fucking hilarious and I want to be their friend sooo bad. It’s like a friend crush. PLEASE BY MY FRIEND. I’m stuck at the snooty table where everyone never listens and copies images off google and I want to be OVER THERE WITH THE PEEPS WHO GET ME. Problemo is it takes me a long time to warm up to people even when I know they’d probably accept my normal self. Plus I have social anxiety around men and they are men .-. WHYYY COULDN’T WE HAVE GROWN UP TOGETHERRRR YOU’RE MY KIND OF PEEPSSSS

Someone please talk to me about this because I feel so weird but I’m serious it’s a friend crush i just want to hang out with the cool nerdy long haired guy whose always mature yet hilarious and his bizarre musical friend who is also just amazing
