He’d been sticking to these rules for the ten years he’d been a professor at Velaris University. They served him well. He’d never struggled to maintain the cautious professional distance between himself and his students.

​Cassian starts off as a fiece warrior, a determined champion for his people despite all they’ve put him through, and a loving friend and brother who just exudes playful charm.

In the process of making him into the main love interest, SJM stripped out most of what made him lovable and just turned him into a shallow copy of the stereotypical alpha male

cassian had the potential of being a great acotar character before sjm reduced him to the dudebro type and to nesta's mate. he is the general of night court's army. he is best friends with the most powerful high lord in history. he is lord of bloodshed. he is over 500 years old. he's fought wars, he won the blood rite, he has his own emotional baggage, he has a connection to his people and suffers with how prejudiced they are, he has an inferiority complex and insecurities due to being a "bastard", all while still being a loyal friend, a brave warrior, and a charming, funny guy. cassian isn't just one thing, and he most definitely isn't some dumb jock type that only thinks with his dick. cassian deserves better, thank you for coming to my tedtalk.

Like this man got a mate bond and he went-without hesitation-from notorious rake and flirt to "Don't talk to me unless you are a. My wife or b. my sister in law" and I find that very sexy.

For @gwynweek, @freyjas-musings, @amandapearls, and I wanted to depict one of our favorite soft ships for unlikely pairings and star-crossed connections. Gwyn and Elain are survivors in their own respective rights. They're kind, they're fiercely loyal, and they don't let the circumstances they've found themselves in define them. If any two people could also find love and healing together, it would be them.
