Woah comrades, war is a tool of the wealthy and powerful which does nothing but cripple the common people and use them as pawns in a political game, ruining lives and destroying countries, cultures and ecosystems. The wealth hoarding class are not touched by war, yet they wield it against each other and everyone below them suffers.

How can Donald Trump, a billionaire draft dodger, possibly understand the cost of war? He is not the one who shall suffer, you are. The average person. Don’t forget what war truly is. Not a fight for glory, but being used as replaceable canon fodder to be used up and thrown away, while the powerful sit thousands of miles behind the front line unaffected. They would throw nuclear weapons at each other, and destroy the land and people that they believe they are so high above

Now is the time to be radically kind and revolutionarily peaceful. Empathy is our most powerful tool. The regular people in Iran are not your enemy. The politicians and billionaire class who hoard wealth and hold back progress are.

Protest. Fight back. Peace is always attainable and war is not inevitable.

Proposal for new fandom etiquette:

If you read a fic because it was linked/recced somewhere, you leave a comment saying "came from XXX" and that comment doesn't need to include anything else.

Because when all of a sudden there's a lot of activity on one particular fic I WANNA KNOW WHY!!!!!

imo a discord server should be like a breakout room for fandom. like the place to run your wips by your besties or discuss your otp in more detail with a few people who were insane about it on your post or organise events with a handful of trusted mutuals etc etc. if it’s where ALL the fandom activity is going to happen it will inevitably foster a cliquey environment where the fandom is divided into “those in the server” and “those who aren’t”, lurking is disincentivised if not made outright impossible, people who feel uncomfortable joining in conversations and would rather interact with fandom through reblogging etc are largely excluded because there’s no repost mechanism, and the fandom itself becomes an enclosed space so new fans are limited in how much content and meta they can access without having to make the plunge into Joining The In Group, there’s limited scope for interaction between different communities within the same fandom, god it’s just an altogether dogshit stupid idea. what if we moved all fandom activity to really massive private groupchats. STUPID

I've been doing a lot of thinking about my family and how I was treated as a child, and honestly, my father has never seemed more amazing in my eyes.

I used to love Luigi(Mario's brother) when I was little. Like, he was my favorite character ever, and I had multiple plushies of him. Didn't give a fuck about Mario, vaguely tolerated Peach, but I loved Luigi.

On my first day of kindergarten, my dad gave me the number for his work phone and said it was Luigi's phone number. "If anything happens at school, call Luigi."And not even twenty minutes into my first day, I was having a panic attack. So I went down to the principal's office and called "Luigi."

Now, at the time, my father was in a meeting with his manager and his supervisor, along with most of his coworkers. And when I called, he picked up before he even left the room.

And he put on a very awful Italian accent and said, "Itsa me, Luigi! Whatsa the matter?"In front of his boss and coworkers. Without telling them what was going on. So they were absolutely bewildered, and he carried on like they didn't even exist. He only explained what was happening after I had calmed down and hung up, to which most of them responded with "Aww, cute."

I continued to call him whenever I got upset at school, and eventually his coworkers got in on it. I distinctly remember one of them impersonating Toad. I don't know why I'm telling you this, I just thought it might make you smile :)

The other night husband and I were watching a documentary about the yeti where they were doing DNA analysis of samples of supposed yeti fur, and every one of them came back as bears.

Anyway, the next night we watched a thing about some pig man who is supposed to live in Vermont. People said it had claws and a pig nose but walked upright like a man. Now, I happen to know that sideshows used to shave bears and present them as pig men. So every piece of evidence they gave of this monster sounds to me like a bear with mange.

So now the running joke in our house is that everything is bears. Aliens? Bears. Loch Ness monster? Bear. Every cryptozoological mystery is just a very crafty bear.

Bears. They’re everywhere. Be wary. Anyone or anything could be a bear.

Okay, so I just read all four of the Serafina series books in four days. (I could have completed them in less but I'm trying to read exactly one book a day and, believe it or not, I do actually have other things to do! Ha ha xD)

In any case, I absolutely adore Serafina. I've loved this series since I was really really young and although I'm not particularly fond of the third book, books 1 and 4 are some of my favorite children's books. Pretty much ever.

I just have so much to say about this series, but I know I probably won't be able to formulate my thoughts very well so I wanted to at least draw her before I move on from this interest once again. (Knowing that I will eventually circle back at some time in the future.)

Enough rambling, though! Just know that I love her.
