Hi yes hello, thank you and your fic for reigniting my appreciation for Generator Rex. I got all three seasons that I'm slowly watching through and I was wondering what are your thoughts on the fact that in episode The Swarm, Rex's nanites literally restarted his heart? After he (almost) drowned in a river none the less. I know you had some thoughts on the whole limb regrowing stuff, and his enhanced healing, but this is a medical thing way beyond that.

well :] personally. we think thats a basic feature rather than a medical marvel. the body is wetware that runs on electricity. nanites, however small, also run on some form of electricity. rex is made up of a lot of nanites. seems completely reasonable that they can do things like control his muscle movements to start/stop his heart.

He blinked away his thoughts, poker face in place before even turning his head toward his mother. “Heya Mom, long time no see right?” he straight up, leaning his weight on one arm against the window to keep his balance. She took a few steps forward while her son was making his way back to the hospital’s bed. “So what?” Kaito added, sitting down. Chikage looked down at her son, gently holding his cheeks in her hands “Oh sweetie, what have you done this time?”

Three days has passed since Kaito’s recovery in the Hospital. He was still on his white, uncomfortable bed. The backrest raised a bit to help him sit. He tilted his head, huffing boredly while watching out of the window. “This place is going to make me die of boredom” He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, then kept staring at the window.

Kaito was very well used to morning sounds, the soft and recognizable cooing of his doves filling the air, the wind in the trees, the screeching voice outside the window as well. He was used to that, just more difficult to ignore that and go back to sleep.  He groans and curl up under the blankets; he was not a morning person but Aoko would kill him if he gets late again for breakfast and school or worse, starts screaming in front of his house at 5am for the next weeks as a sadistic revenge. Yeah, he doesn’t want that.
