King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway hosted a gala dinner at the Royal Palace in Oslo in honor of the French President and the First Lady.

Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, and Princess Astrid were also present at the dinner.

The Emperor and Empress of Japan hosted a tea party at the Palace, inviting the recipients of the Japan Art Academy Award reiwa Year 6.

Her Royal Highness Empress Akishinonomiya, Her Royal Highness Imperial Princess Aiko, and Her Royal Highness Princess Teishi attended the tea ceremony.

During the visit to Belgium last week the Duke of Edinburgh met International Award Gold Award Students. Then the Duke viewed the restoration of Hougoumont Gardens at the historic Waterloo Battlefield.

At the battlefield, The Duke also visited the Waterloo Museum and paid tribute to the fallen with wreath-laying ceremonies at the British and French monuments.

There was also the opportunity to plant some 'Tree of Peace' seeds, descended from a tree that survived the atomic bomb in 1945.

Created by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe the scenery and costumes were performed in Pantomime Theater in Tivoli. The performances were the fairy tale ballets Klods-Hans and Cinderella.

The two sets are based on familiar adventures, but are presented in new interpretations. The performances will be played over the summer at the historic outdoor theatre, where Queen Margrethe also made her mark last year by designing the new peacock carpet.
