“That’s the spirit, kid,” Dice grinned, clapping and rubbing his hands together.

Thank goodnessthat was out of the way. It was enough of a headache on its own losing employees, but finding new ones was a whole other story. Inkwell was getting smarter-- cleverer, even. The whole sign-away-your-soul thing was starting to become a bust ever since those kids knocked some sense into the town and made them less, erm, boneheaded. This place was gonna need all the help it could get until some new bozos moved in.

“Appreciate it, doll. You wont be sorry," he stood from his chair, offering a hand to the woman to help her from her seat. He grinned. "...trust me."

She followed King Dice, sitting down where he had motioned. The velvet recliners were comfortable, but the tension in the air was far from so. Claire had a pout on her face, she still wasn’t the most happy, but she would listen to what he had to say. 

It was true that after Cuphead and Mugman won, the casino had been struggling. Many employees had quit. Even the bartender, who Claire had been friendly with, no longer worked there. She wouldn’t even be working there, if it weren’t for her own deal with Ol’ Scratch.

But when King Dice promised a better living space, that caught Claire’s attention. She looked up at him, with something akin to a spark in her eyes. 

“I’ll help out around some more, if it’ll make eternity more comfortable.”

“Only the finest money can buy, my good man! Although...”

Dice eyed the genie up and down, a finger tapping his temple. “...from my observations, you seem pretty stingy with that treasure and gold of yours. You sure you’re committed to coughing up enough dough for the ‘stache life?”

“In that case, Djimmi has plenty of questions!”

“First and foremost, how did you manage to grow such a good mustache?”

Djimmi always dreamed of having facial hair.

Or hair of any kind, on that note.

“…Really? Is that really your question?” King Dice sneered, raising an eyebrow. He thought the question would have been more philosophical or erm, relevant, but he guessed he was flattered nonetheless.

“Well, if you gotta know, I put quite a great deal of care into this ol’ ‘stache of mine! I use only the finest growth serums, paired with getting weekly visits to my barber a few isles down to prevent stray hairs. And of course, max-hold hair gel works wonders when it comes to keepin’ this boy sharp and in tip-top shape!”

Short Hiatus!

Midterms have been taking a lot out of me, and I’m failing a lot of classes right now and am working my hardest to boost my grades! ( ; w ; ) Thank you all for being so patient and kind to me, I hope I can come back real soon– the absolute latest being the beginning of January!

I will keep a constant queue of aesthetics, songs, and Cuphead related things to make sure this blog stays relatively fresh and not, uh, empty, so this blog won’t be completely barren!
