Robert Pattinson who plays Bruce Wayne/Batman in Matt Reeves’ THE BATMAN talks about the Batsuit as follows: “Not only is my suit so cool, but it’s designed incredibly cleverly. Even when you are performing a fight scene with a forward or various movements, you can move. In addition to that, I came up with some ideas that I wanted it to be this way.”

“What’s different from the batsuits I’ve seen so far is that I can see the feeling of use. I can see the fighting every night. It was a very practical suit, with bullet holes left, scratches all over the place, and overall tattered, so I thought this was a very interesting idea.”

“Every night [when I read the script], I’m acting as Batman anyway. It’s not an extraordinary act to wander around the city like a beast every night (laughs),” he says. “I don’t even know what Batman is, I want to be Batman all the time, I think it’s something instinctive, “addictive” to him. So I had a very different impression. I felt a deep sadness that there was a greater sense of loss there, not as heroic as Batman has been portrayed so far. There are many tragedies in Bruce Wayne’s story, but in this work, in many ways, a tragic character, I think he has to find himself in a true sense.“
