A Call for Adventure
Howdy all! Lucy Weaver: Magical Woman is on at least a temporary hiatus, and I'm interested in starting up one or more campaigns to keep the blog going! If you'd be interested in playing an RPG by Ask, shoot me a DM and we'll discuss details!

"Mrs. Cooper is not in the office currently, Shirley Temple. May i leave her a message?"
She grits her teeth before sighing "I'll speak with her myself, just send the medical and backup." She says hanging up before calling Annabelle, she stands to pace back and forth between the villains while muttering "pick up god damn it"

"Understood. An apprehension team will be dispatched to your location. Remain with the prisoners until the team arrives. A medic will arrive for you. Ms. McGuinness has ended her relationship with ASTRAL and our resources are no longer available to her. Official ASTRAL agents and business are no longer to work with known vigilantes. We will begin our own investigation into Puppatrix's location."
"Bullshit, we take care of civilians who are injured by villains," she says bluntly, "especially when they are injured trying to stand up against them, how is that any different? She wasn't being a vigilante, she was assisting an ASTRAL member. Just because she has powers doesn't change that aspect. Even if we aren't allowed to provide tools for combat we can still provide medical aid to her."

A few moments later and the phone is answered by a secretary "Hello, how can I help you?"
"Hi this is Lucy Weaver reporting on villain capture and encounter," she says "Jenny and I stopped and caught the Lark and Nightingale, and had one villain, the puppetrix, run away, Jenny is currently looking for her but she headed east from the bank at the intersection of 5th and Cherry lane. We'll need some back up to follow through as well as someone to take custody of these two and a medic for myself and Jenny when she's finished with recon."

She stands and shakes out her arms she legs, throwing you a wink and a blown kiss "for you, babe? Absolutely!" Then dashes off in a blur of silver blue light
She blushes while watching her go as she waits for the organization to answer the phone.

Jenny shakes her head slightly "ughh... forgot how much those yells hurt" she sits down next to you, "Well we stopped the robbery, saved the Songbirds from Puppatrix and even got a direction she fled. I'm gonna follow her while you deal with ASTRAL." She rubs the back of her neck, "she doesn't have anything to directly control me with and I don't intend to engage, so I should be fine and I'll contact you when i find her. I'll also send a text every 30 minutes, so if you don't get one, she got one over on me and I'll need you to come rescue me again" she grins at you
"Sounds good to me" she says as she starts the call, "stay safe this time!"

Note
Double the max value of her die, she doesn't even get to roll a save. Inserts insta K-O!
Shirley sits down on the sidewalk next to where Jenny is standing and changes back with a sigh before she pulls out her phone to call the organization.
"How you holding up Jen?"

Note
That is a 1 on her save! Nightingale is knocked out, Lark will continue to battle Moonbeam, sending a sonic wave at her, with a +2 bonus for her sibling being knocked out, 2+2 vs Moonbeam's 1. Jenny is knocked down to a d4 and retaliates against Lark
Both get 4s leaving it at a stalemate
Shirley will rush up with her bat at swing at lark
(3, 8, 11) so 8

Note
Both being d6's means they can't make that save even at their best, bringing them both down to d4s.
Moonbeam will follow up with an attack to Lark (2 vs Lark's 4, so she survives)
Lark will attack Moonbeam and Nightingale will attack you. 4 vs Moonbeam, who gets a 5 on her save. 3 vs you!
Back to you
Hp 4/32
She gets really frustrated and decides to swing her bat at nightingale as a standard attack
(3, 3, 4) so 3

Note
(hmm...the 1 could actually still hit Lark, she has a penalty from Moonbeam....if she rolled a 2 or less on a d8 that would hurt her....I think Moonbeam is going to save the hinder and use it on her attack instead, hope for better than 25% odds) Moonbeam smiles at you "We got this babe, no worries!" and she judo tosses the grappled Lark (4 on the attack, 5-2 for 3 on Lark's Defense, bringing her to a D6!) Moonbeam passes to Lark as she slams the supervillain to the ground and Lark will blast at her with her sonic scream, attempting to toss the Magical Girl Speedster away (1 attack, no effect) before passing to Nightingale Nightingale will attempt to intercept Moonbeam's Dodge with an attack of her own, sending a flock of spectral sparrows to attack the hero (3 attack, 4 defense, Moonbeam darts out of the way of Larks' Scream then blurrs back into her original position, dodging Nightingale's Attack as well.) Green [X] [X] [X} Yellow [X] [ ] [ ] Red [ ] [ ] [ ] Passing back to you!
Hp 7/32
She takes her time and concentrares real hard before fires her energy field once more (4, 8, 9) so 8 as she grins really wide hoping it hits before passing to moonbeam

Note
Lark got a 5, she survives unscathed. Nightingale...rolled a 1 and goes down to a d6. Lark Will continue attacking you, her eyes still mindless glazed over even as Puppatrix escapes. that will be 7 damage to you. She passes to Nightingale who will attack Moonbeam again (2 damage, vs Moonbeam's 6 defense) and finally pass to Moonbeam, who will dash over to hinder Lark, Getting her in a grapple to let your strikes hit more surely (-1 compromising hold penalty) Moonbeam passes back to you "Let's finish this quickly, see if we can't track down Puppatrix!" Green [X][X][X]--Scene has entered the Yellow zone Yellow[ ] [ ] [ ] Red [ ] [ ] [ ]
Hp: 7/32
She grits her teeth and fires off her lasers again... (1, 1, 7)
"One thing at a time, hun," she says, very obviously frustrated with her sudden ineptitude before passing the turn back to Moonbeam

Note
That will be 3 damage to Puppatrix, pushing her into her Yellow Zone. she uses her "Backstage Pass" Innate ability to move anywhere in the scene when her personal zone change and teleports to the top of a nearby building, straightening her dress and wiping a smudge from her face, trying to keep herself impassive. "Keep it up, my Song Birds. Bring me the money when you finish with the Rabble" And she will attempt to flee the scene now! You may attempt Overcomes to chase after her if you wish, or you can let her go and focus on Lark and Nightingale. Puppatrix will pass to Lark who launches another Sonic blast your way for 6 damage, passes to Moonbeam who will start going hand to hand with Nightingale, rolling a one on her attack (The dice hate her today) as she's unable to land a solid blow on the spectral summoner! Finally Nightingale will send her spectral birds to flutter around both Moonbeam and yourself, attempting to hinder both of you (-1 blinding Feathers Penalty to both of you) green [X] [X] [ ] Yello [ ] [ ] [ ] Red [ ] [ ] [ ] Back to you!
Hp 14/32
She grits her teeth and shouts "coward!" At puppetrix before unflagging again and firing off her energy field at Lark and Nightingale
(1, 2, 5) so 2 and she'll pass to Lark

Note
She will again throw out a string of power to throw your aim off, rolling a 7 on her defense this time and again fully preventing the damage again, giving a -3 Hinder to you as the string stays attached this time (-3 Lingering Control) and a +3 to herself (+3 Arrogant confidence). With the turn being passed to her, she will tut, waving the finger connected to your throat condescendingly "Well well little hero, that as rather rude. lets teach you some manners" And a wave of psychic force assaults you as she uses her Mental Barrage action....and rolls triple 1's. She'll use her +3 Bonus on her Min die, which gives her a persistent bonus (1+3=4 which is just enough to give her a persistent +2 Psychic Bolstering) and the Max die is damage to you....so 1 damage! With that, she'll pass it to Moonbeam who will dash up to the other side of Puppetrix as she is distracted by you and launch a leaping kick at her for....6 damage! Which Puppetrix will react against to protect, getting a 3 and reducing the damage to 3...also notably using her reaction. Moonbeam will pass to Nightingale, who will attack her back, trying to push her away from Puppetrix (8 on the attack, 1 on the save, Moonbeam goes down to a d6 Lieutenant as Nightingale's spectral bird push her back and to her knees, bruised but still fighting) Nightingale passes to Lark who will launch a Sonic Blast at you, dealing 5 damage and pushing you away from Puppetrix. She will then Pass back to you
Hp 20/32
Shirley starts getting really frustrated and unflags before glowing pink and firing off blast after blast with her field of energy at all her enemies
(3, 3, 6) so 3.

Note
You see Lark and Nightingale, in their typically silver and blue outfits, ornate beaked masks, and a pile of loot being stacked behind them by fawning, adoring, charmed victims. However, you also see silver threads wrapped around their limbs and neck, flowing off them and fading into the ether before reforming in the hands of a less frequent but more dangerous villain...Puppetrix, in a form fitting black and red dress with a high slit on one leg and a crimson domino mask
She attempts to fire a cosmic blast at the threads at puppetrix's hands
(9, 4, 3)
"I don't like your show very much, ma'am"

Jenny changes, not into her Lemon Drop Martini outfit, but into a more modern, mature take on her old Moonbeam costume, with a decided flair of her own, a much more butch outfit than the very femme magical girl outfits Moonbeam had previously worn. With a grin she throws you a wink "let's do this!" She she dashes towards the sound of Lark and Nightingale
She flies behind her and stops when she sees the two of them.
"Hey y'all, what're you up to this time?" She asks them "causin' trouble again?"
