Stuart loved waking up like this, all warm and comfortable, loose-limbed. He loved the feel of Evelyn against him, on him, loving him in a slow exploration of hands and lips on his skin.
He smiled, vastly relieved, when he felt Evelyn nip at him lightly, heard his soft exhalation of laughter against the junction of his ear and jaw. He felt his flesh stir in the wake of Evelyn's exploration of his body and the feel of Evelyn's mouth against his only made him smile wider.
It was only when he opened his eyes a fraction and tried to stretch that he found that he could not move his arms.
He could not move his arms.
His eyes flew wide open at the realization, catching sight of a captivating Evelyn up close, looking down at him through a curtain of golden hair falling all around him. He turned his gaze up and caught sight of his wrists, bound above his head.
He sighed as he slumped back against the pillows. "Eve," he said softly, striving for calm. "What the hell?"
Evelyn's clear blue gaze remained innocent, examining Stuart as though he were a most fascinating specimen. "You said you know entirely how I feel. I want to find out just how much you think you know, darling Elliot."

Authoress (New Novel)- An Excerpt
Author's Notes: Hey everyone! Authoress was written in bits and parts over the years and ultimately shelved, but the Muse has been coming back to it more and more quite recently.
Inspired by the novelist Anais Nin, who wrote her erotica for a dollar a page in the 1940s for a wealthy, private collector, the story is set in post-WWI London, where Helena Walker has recently penned an erotic bestseller anonymously. The only problem is, she has landed in a spot of trouble with her publisher and she needs help in saving her book. Enter Daniel Wharton, Esq, her brother's best friend, an extraordinarily capable, ruthless solicitor and, alas, her nemesis since girlhood. But a chance finding of her book under his pillow during a weekend stay meant Helena has finally met a fan of her work for the first time. Will she be able to entrust her secret to Daniel, and will he prove himself to be more than just her greatest fan?
Do let me know what you guys think! With any luck, we shall see some chapters posted at Patreon soon! ^_~
Excerpt:
“So what do you think of it?” Helena crossed her arms over her chest and cocked him a look, one eyebrow raised in challenge.
Wharton gaped at her. “What do I think of what?”
She scoffed. “The book, of course.”
“I won’t dignify that query with an answer.”
She held her ground, indicating she was prepared to wait in his office for as long as needed for a reply. Blowing out a breath, he finally relented.
“Well, it’s…” he breathed out a laugh. “I can’t believe we’re talking about it, but very well. I think it’s quite remarkable. I must confess I’m enjoying it.”
“I know the author,” she said, and had the delicious satisfaction of seeing both his brows rise this time.
“You do?”
“Yes,” she said. “They’re a friend of mine.”
“Really?” he said softly, his gaze hardening almost imperceptibly. “Which friend? George Wren?”
“What? Georgie?” she retorted. “Of course not.”
“No,” he murmured, his disconcerting gaze remaining steadfast on her person. “Because whoever penned that book is surely a woman.”

P.S. Reserve the morning papers for your postprandial read. I wouldn’t advise them on a full stomach though.
—E
Stuart could not help himself, rifling through The Morning Times and dropping the pages as though they scalded his fingers as soon as he saw the first line of the notice:
The Dowager Marchioness of Helston is delighted to announce the engagement of her son, Lord Evelyn George Alexander Fayne, Marquess of Helston, and Mr. Stuart Elliot Hartnell, son of Sir Philip and Agnes Hartnell of Chiltern, Hertfordshire.

“If I don’t know any better, I’d say you’re nervous,” Stuart continued, sliding closer behind Evelyn as they sat in bed.
“Nervous?” cried Evelyn. “Me? Surely you’re joking?”
“I don’t know,” said Stuart, peeling down Evelyn’s open shirt to one side so he could kiss a bare shoulder. “You seem tense.”
Evelyn pulled away. “Whatever gave you that idea?” he said incredulously.
“You’ve been tense the whole day,” Stuart pointed out. “You wouldn’t even meet my eyes when I tried to kiss you earlier. You don’t seem comfortable whenever I try to initiate anything.”
“I—” Evelyn scoffed, then laughed. “I see where this is going. You’ve been such an avid student, as expected. However, if this is your idea of flirting— and I see some practice is in order, then—”
“I don’t want us to flirt,” said Stuart, quite seriously. “We’ve done quite a bit of that these past few days.”
“Well, more practice wouldn’t do anyone any harm.”
Stuart refused to be deterred. “I want to make love to you. Properly. Will you let me?”
Evelyn mouthed at him, speechless for a rare moment. Then, “All right. Fine. I’m not averse to it. We need to get there, anyway.”
“You don’t have to be so nervous, you know. I just want to touch you.”
“I’m not nervous!” yelled Evelyn, exasperated, as he threw off his shirt. “Here. Is this what you want? Now what?”

The thing about erotica and porn, right, is that I think there’s an extent to which it’s more erotic the less it seems to replicate the actual appearances and apparatus of sex. When you look at a porn video and see an actual dick recorded on camera going into an actual ass—I mean, obviously there’s an appeal there, or people wouldn’t like porn so much. But when you introduce mediation—if it’s a still image, a drawing, a paragraph of text—to me, the erotic charge often seems to grow stronger, not weaker. The play of the mind in an erotic frenzy, the things it creates in an attempt to animate its own fantasies for others, is in itself deeply erotic.

Writing Updates: June 9-15
Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a good week. It's been very busy here, but we continue with The Education of Mr Hartnell! Things are heating up for the lads, hehe. There are a lot of revisions and additions coming in and the chapters may take longer to post, please bear with me. Chapter 22 should be done towards the end of the week. Excerpts only to appear at Substack.
Regarding Authoress, this novel is set just before WWI and involves an English spinster who writes anonymous erotic novels and her patron. It's inspired by the novelist Anais Nin who was paid to write her erotic novels for a dollar a page in the 1940s by a rich, private collector. It's still in the planning stage, we'll see where this goes. Wish me luck! XD

Author's Notes: Working on the sexytimes, I realize that things are hurtling along for Stu and Eve from one chapter to the next and I feel more material is needed to slow the pace down. This is a very short addition which falls somewhere between chapter 20 and 21. Calling it 20.1 in order not to mess with the chapter sequence. Enjoy! ^_~
Excerpt:
“I do not smell like peaches!” declared Evelyn, loudly.
Stuart tried to amend his words: “I merely said that it was the closest approximation I can think of to describe your scent.”
“Yeah, but why peaches in particular? Why can’t I smell like something else?” Evelyn complained. “Something other than some fruit to you?”
“I happen to be very partial to peaches,” said Stuart, reasonably. “They’re my favorite fruit. So perhaps that is the reason why I associated your scent with them.”
“Perhaps you were merely hungry when you went in search of me that night,” Evelyn huffed as he glanced at Stuart with an aggrieved eye, and Stuart could not help but laugh.

His fiancé.
Good Lord, thought Stuart, shaking his head and smiling bemusedly as he marveled at the words. He could hardly believe that he would be calling Evelyn thus, from now on.
It was all a bit too much, yet Stuart found he could not get enough. Yet, where to start?
Here. He would start here, right in front of him.
