failing at consistency. having paint all over their face, clothes, and desks. spending more money on art supplies than on anything else. notebooks filled with doodles, tears, and flowers. radiating sunshine. heavy mood swings. supporting, and being supported.

the performer.

loud. not hesitating to speak up, for themselves, for others. trying to see the good in everything. rain, and the smell before rain. drinking more coffee than their body can handle. reading every book at once. laughing and crying at the same time. being honest. the helping hand everyone needs.

If you’re someone affected by the platform’s definition of what they’re going to be banning, I strongly suggest you back up your Tumblr blog. RIGHT NOW. Info on how to do that is here.

I can’t think why my own Tumblr would be affected, but I’ll be backing things up too… because in situations like this one might expect the algorithm to get a little out of hand and make mistakes that one might or might not be able to recover from. (See this article.)

For safety’s sake – because I’d very much dislike losing the content I’ve shared with other people here – I’l be embodying my Tumblr content in a new Wordpress blog over the coming days. I’ll share the address here when it’s ready, for those who might be interested.

 According to the new Guidelines, written content is allowed. This means NSFW stories or roleplay won’t be banned.

The Safe Mode won’t exist anymore. You will have to manually block content you do not wish to see.

While the update mentions “artistic nudity” is allowed, it goes out of its way to specify illustrations that depict sex acts may be affected. 

You will be notified when and if your content is flagged: the E-mail will include a form to appeal if your post has been targeted by error. Be sure to check your E-Mail if you suspect something might happen to your blog.

Blogs market as explicit won’t be taken down. However, their content may be removed. Moreover, their icons and banner will be reverted to default settings.
