I was born to not fit the mould but influenced to play pretend I had my imperfections that I was forced to reject Remind me of my flaws and I'll punish myself Why do they fear what they do not understand? Am I so out of the norm, or am I beyond perfection? All I've presented myself to be was just a play pretend Nothing but an illusion you foolishly believed Convincing you that we are synonymous when in reality, we're black and white Maybe if I switch realms I'll find my Gemini My carbon copy My destined companion Maybe then I no longer have to play pretend Maybe then I'll be a bird

I admire men who cry

Who aren't scared to try

To say fuck you to the roles

Who aren't scared to set goals

I admire men who are silly and serious

Who can be a dumbass and a genius

A man that can be funny

But also slightly uncanny

A man who is kind and loyal

Who treats you like a royal

A man who buys you flowers

Who would build you towers

A man that doesn't treat me like an object

Who doesn't make my body a subject

Someone who doesn't see me as a trophy
