“what, you’ve never seen a bolt of fabric before?”  taesuk huffed, crouching towards the ground to start to wind it back up and trying not to let the younger man see him be more embarrassed that he actually was annoyed by the laughter. tae knew it was his own fault from thinking he could rush down the stairs with everything in his hands rather than taking multiple trips and instead wound up dropping the fabric he needed and watching it unroll as it bounced down the hall like it was straight out of a cartoon.

He felt more than a little guilty now for laughing, flushing bright red when he realized the other didn't find it funny and he sobered up quickly. "Ah, I-- Sorry, I just didn't expect it..." he said, voice withering away while speaking. “Can I help? I can help...”

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry -- I'll calm down, promise," Daul wheezed in between laughs. Whatever had him in a fit was probably not that funny, but at the moment he was just laughing at the fact that he was laughing so much.

To say Daul was alarmed to see some girl he didn't know in the dorms would be an understatement - He was watching a movie on the couch when he spotted her out of the corner of his eye and it freaked him right out. “Ah,” was all he could manage for a moment in response to the girl’s explanation. “Nice to meet you -- I’m not sure where Dongeun is right now..”

“oh– i didn’t think anyone else would be here,” goeun said, eyes wide as she nearly jumped out of her skin. she should have thought more– dongeun lived with eleven other people, after all. “i um…. was making cookies with my sister, and we made way too many for us to eat ourselves. especially with her just debuting and all so uh…. i thought i’d bring some over here! i… i’m dongeun’s sister, it’s nice to meet you….” @rvdaul​

“I’m gonna be real, Inho, I wasn’t listening to any of that. It’s kinda hard to hear you down here,” Daul retorted good naturedly, rolling his eyes at the younger.

“all i’m saying is, i’m the youngest and i’m like a foot taller than half of you,” inho said, looking at his groupmates smugly. “it’s not my fault you don’t eat your vegetables or didn’t get calcium or something. i just have better bones i guess.” @rvxilhoon​ @rvdaul​ @rvminsuk​

Daul was in a world of his own when Chunja asked her question, snapping him out of his thoughts. He had to look around to make sure he was the one being talked to real quick. "I mean - I lost my notebook somewhere in the dorms last week. I gave up after a while of trying to find it, but you could maybe help with that?”

“you wouldn’t happen to need any help, would you?” chunja asked with a little wince. “i’m done all my assignments for the day, and if my boss sees me standing around doing nothing, he’ll send me home early and i….well, to be honest, there’s a really cute hoodie i saw at the mall that i want, and i want my full pay….” @falseprvphet​ @rvdaul​ @srvnyi​ @rvjaeho​ @rvjenifer​

“I’m not sure -- I think the move might be getting it done like... little by little, just enough that nobody notices fully. It’d be interesting to see how long it takes before people notice.”

“how long do i need to be an idol for before i can get a full sleeve tattoo,” xifeng mused aloud. “like, i don’t even know if i want one yet. but i just want to know…”

“I think I understand. It’s like... you don’t want to be ungrateful or anything. But it’s like someone took a picture of your shadow and are saying that it’s a picture of you, when it’s not really,” Daul said, then pausing. “... I don’t know if that makes sense, but I think I get it. It doesn’t feel great to not get noticed for something you’re putting a lot of effort into.”

“i kind of get conflicted sometimes,” yoonseok admitted. “i chose to be on jinkyung’s show, and i don’t regret it. but i’m known more from that reality show than i am for my acting. it’s a weird feeling.” he sighed. “i love my family, and i swear, i don’t mind the show. but i’ve been acting my whole life, and it’s my dream job. it just….feels weird.”

“I mean... I haven’t gone on any of them yet, but I’m pretty sure that making a fool of yourself is kind of expected from every one going on those shows. It seems like it, anyway. I wouldn’t worry too much about it,“ Daul responded. “The only advice I have is like... don’t zone out too much. That’s how they get you the worst.”

“no way…. me and the girls got invited on a radio show,” narae said, face going pale. “like…..one of the ones idols go on. what the heck am i supposed to do? i’m a gamer! i’m not a public figure. we’re going to stick out like sore thumbs and make absolute fools of ourselves…”

“Like, literally pointing at you or pointing at you with cameras? Not that any way is good but like... I thought people knew better than to point at others, it’s kinda rude.”

“you know, it’s nice being not-famous here yet,” zak admitted. “i know that’s gonna change when my group debuts, but i couldn’t walk anywhere in LA without getting someone pointing at me. it’s cool to be normal for a few months.”

“I mean... like, all you guys do stuff for the group, right? I don’t think its selfish to focus on stuff for yourself for once,” Daul replied. 

“i think i’m ready to start working on solo work,” sookie admitted, scrubbing her face in her hands. she’d had a solo debut in rejectz’s early days, but nothing for about three years since. “i’ve put so much of my focus into my group, and i think i’ve gotten us to a really good place. is it selfish of me to want to start working on something for myself now?”

Hi, hello! Jules back again with another messy child - this one is Daul. I will leave some little facts under the cut. I'm going to try to reach out more for plotting purposes but give this a like and I'll write a starter for you!

Daul is the kind of person who's stuck in their head a lot of the time but it's mostly like... thinking about, stuff that's kind of random

He’s not exactly shy, per say (at least.... not anymore) but a little soft spoken. And since his heads in the clouds most of the time he kinda just. Forgets to talk?

Went on Idol Project 2 with the other guys at Higher but got eliminated early on

Close with his sister - she dragged him to audition along with her and though he was initially reluctant to, he didn’t want to disappoint her (Possible connection?)

A fashion disaster - someone get him a stylist this boy does not know how to dress himself.

Just wants everyone to chill out and get along - he’s pretty conflict avoidant and does not really stand up for himself usually, so he kind of lets people get away with pushing his buttons
