Just wants everyone to chill out and get along - he’s pretty conflict avoidant and does not really stand up for himself usually, so he kind of lets people get away with pushing his buttons

Hi guys! i’m Sonnie and i’m slowly coming off hiatus. Below you’ll find information about my babie Xiaohui

Xiaohui never really had any intentions on becoming an idol.

She grew up dancing and planned to become a choreographer or at most a professional contemporary dancer.

Her cousin, who was more of a vocalist, thought that if they debuted together they’d have a real shot at something.

Hui wasn’t really sure of this, but she was a sucker for her little cousin so she gave it a shot.

Things began to escalate, from posting simple dance videos a cover or two of popular songs, to social media pages and eventually the pair of parents funneling in enough money to create a small company and create a small, family management team for the both of them.

That’s when Xiaohui’s cousin learned of Youth With You, an idol project show and after begging, the pair agreed to go on it together.

Hui made it all the way through the semifinals; She did enjoy the challenge and the fun activities they had done, but overall she didn’t really like the cattiness and general weird activities that they’d have to do for ‘fan service’ (like measuring how small their waists were.)

After the show, she was scouted out by New age for the Antares unit

This caused a rift between her cousin and her, but overall with the thought that if they needed to debut in a group together later, this would only bring in more popularity for them.

Xiaohui is still hesitant on whether or not being an idol is truly for her, but she’s serious about giving it a shot.

Her biggest worry is not meshing with the other members, but she’s trying her best to be optimistic about things.

She speaks Mandarin (fluent), Cantonese (fluent), Korean (advanced) and English (intermediate)

Aside from guitar she can also play bass and piano, has at one point attempted learning drums but gave up quick

Most of her music taste is pop-punk and alt-rock lbr, but she liked Empire when they were still a thing

Secretly your granny. Her favorite past times are knitting, watching older dramas and reading corny mystery novels

A notoriously tough nut to crack and will try to evade your questions at all costs. If avoiding conversations was an olympic sport she would be a gold medalist.

Has a loose relationship with gender in recent years - knows they're not exactly a boy but that's as far as they've gotten so far.

Born in Toronto but moved with their family to Korea when they were about five or six

Started learning how to play piano as a youngster - it was their first taste of being better than their brother at something so of course they'd stick with it - learned guitar as well with mixed results

Considers themselves to be a whiz at improvising lyrics and poems (particularly acrostics), but really isn't that great at it. But we love the confidence lmao

Not great at dancing either but loves to do it - a tiktok dance fiend

Basically, just not afraid to look silly at all

Hey hey, Jules back again with another character, this one is Seulgi, she’s the drummer for Burnout and is like, probably most of Liberty drum line’s brain cells. (they all be wildin’.) As usual, give this a like and I’ll come your way for plots, and here are some facts under the cut!

comes across to anyone seeing the group in performances or on variety as mysterious, but really she just doesn’t know how to interact with the camera hardly at all.

In fact, she’s incredibly uncomfortable with having the spotlight after the stint of her last band essentially using her to fill out seats at their shows

A bit of a wandering soul- she drifted from place to place in her younger years after moving from her parents home as a teenager, coming from South Jeolla and hitchhiked until she finally ended up in Seoul. She revels in seeing the most of places and loves midnight trips just for the hell of it (possible connection - one of her travel buddies)

She’s a very philosophical type and tends to get stuck in her head pondering questions both deep and shallow - which leads to the stone-like face she lapses into when she’s zoning out

Is secretly a super big marshmallow deep down but tends to keep people more at arms length, she doesn’t want to get taken advantage of again so she puts up a cool front if she sees someone trying to get too close too fast

That said, if you earned her trust she’ll stick by you and will metaphorically kick your ass if you start doubting yourself. Like the big sister you’re kind of distant from most of the time but is still pretty cool.

he became a radioactive trainee when he was 14 because hes honestly just always loved music, he was a trainee there for six years before it was clear that radioactive was on its last legs

moved over to new age around the end of 2013 n though it meant he was practically starting over as a trainee as he was turning 20 he loves always loved it there

after a super fun total of eleven years of being a trainee he debuted with distich n he just really loves them  ( was honestly surprised when fans liked him and thought he was funny )

new age made him debut with the stage name bomb but thankfully all of distichs fans were like no thats stupid and just kept calling him beom and he got to drop it like two months later

then like seven months after their debut his nudez leaked which was not fun ™ waking up and literally millions of people have seen your dick so new age immediately yanked him into meetings to figure out how to stop nude pics of him to stop trending online everywhere

beom honestly was scared he was gonna have to leave distich soon after starting to be in the group but tbh new age thought there were just too many reasons they had to keep him in than let him go so suddenly distich g was the only promoting part of the group lmao

ngl hes surprised that he got to be back in their first full album but is really relieved, thankfully now his scandal is mostly just the punchline of jokes on variety shows whenever it does get mentioned

Hello it’s Jules again! Back with another boy, this guy is Kyungil’s oldest brother and a vocal coach for Liberty! He’s,,, kind of  a hardass with who he’s teaching but it’s just because he cares and wants to see everyone doing the best they can. I have a plots page for him!  As usual, give this a like and I’ll come for plots! Here’s some facts under the cut.

History

Born and raised in Busan - but left right after graduating high school to go to Seoul to follow his dreams of being a singer

Auditioned for Spotlight three consecutive times - he was older than most of the other kids auditioning, and his singing voice is more classical and akin to much older balladeers than like any of pop singers, so they weren’t all that interested in him

Following that he would instead try to become a singer independently - putting his name out there by busking, performing at weddings and small festivals

At that point he wasn’t making all that much money - to the point where he would end up taking other part time jobs, and eventually offering piano and voice lessons

He eventually had enough business going for him that he decided he wanted to try taking his career to the next level. A close friend of his suggested applying for Liberty, who was just opening and needed staff at the time. (possible connection!)

He was able to acquire the job where he’s been working ever since.

Random bits

Absolutely ADORES musicals - not only ones within South Korea, but also abroad. Currently, he likes Xcalibur, Les Miserables and Jesus Christ Superstar. He hopes that he himself can be a part of a widely viewed musical

Passable at English - he can hold a conversation in it, but only a simple one.

Aside from his signature instrument of piano, Ohkyung also knows how to play the violin (though he’s rusty since it was something he taught when he was much younger) and guitar. For a brief period of time in what should’ve been his college years, he would film and upload various instrumental covers - although it was always sporadic and never really took off.

Has a Russian Blue cat named Alice

He has quite the sweet tooth - he regularly keeps orange slice candies in a jar on his piano and loves sweet coffee drinks, although he knows he should really, really be cutting back on them.

He’s a bit of a lightweight when it comes to alcohol. He’s the first one to get tipsy after not having very much in him. He tends to be a bit more gregarious when he’s drinking than he normally is.
