Being bipolar is a struggle, one I know all too well. I've heard a lot of criticism about Ian being diagnosed from some fans. Some of the things Ian does when he's manic. But I really feel you can't understand what its like until you've gone thru it. As someone who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when I was 17, It was nice to see a show do decent representation. It makes me feel connected to Ian alot.

Idk why im really full of thoughts tonight

Mickey is 100% the kind of uncle who will put on a Disney movie for his niece or nephew when babysitting to get them to calm down. At first he complains, hating the thought of another kids movie. Though he also settles in and watches the entire thing.

Just a lil headcannon:

Mickey loves their patio. Especially when the weather gets warmer, on the weekends. He sits in one of the chairs him and Ian thrifted from the good will. Smoking a joint he likes to listen to a Post Malone playlist he found on his phone. Letting his head lull back against the back of the chair as he lets the setting sun fall on his face.

Ian will come join him shortly after his shower and meds. Unwinding himself with an old style and tending to the planter boxes that have collected on the patio.

baby teddy taking FOREVER for her first egg hunt and she waddles and she shows carmen every egg she finds and makes him open it

“dada, dada, dada, dada.” just babbles over and over and over.

carmen is holding a tiny wicker basket, following behind her. she’s picking up every colorful, plastic egg with a gurgling squeal.

“yeah, that’s a good one. put it in the basket.” carmen tilts it down to her.

“open?” teddy lifts her hands up gently. “dada open? open? peas? open? dada?”

carmen does, of course, he wants to rationalize that her cousins are getting all the eggs, but really he knows it doesn’t matter. she’s happy, especially when he opens it to show the candy inside.
