okay it was ultimately a throw away line written by an out of touch but well intentioned sixty year old man so i don't want to harp on it but the "male presenting timelord" line about how the doctor could never let go of the power of the metacrisis is pretty fucking insulting to the fourth doctor who refused to take the presidency of gallifrey and the twelfth refusing missy's cyberman army at minimum
