So I went on a road trip to Stevenson's falls in the Otways on Thursday. Mainly to honour and remember a dear friend who I used to camp there with. That dear freind recently passed away and I'm still dealing with the grief of it all.
Stevenson's falls has recently undergone a major transformation and is now fully wheelchair accessible. It is about 2 hours west of my house and as it turns out an achievable day trip.

Road Trips!
Yesterday saw me on a train to Ballarat.
I visited the Ballarat Art Gallery to see the Nan Goldin Exhibition. Which is excellent, this was my 2nd visit. The prints are sumptuous, and the hang amazing. I was surprised to learn that Nan listed Guy Bourdin as an influence!
The train passes through parts of the country not usually seen when travelling by car. I always try and grab a window seat as a consequence. This approach can be a bit hit and miss as a result, but with my iPhone no big deal.
This image was made at the coordinates; S 37° 42' 25.200" , E 144° 24' 23.990", and is outside and above Bacchus Marsh, heading East.
Today I'm off again this time by road to a place callled Stevenson's falls in the Otways. I'm taking all my analogue kit too.

I have not seen this image, by Bernd & Hill Becher. Who by the way along with Robert Adams are some of my favourite photographers.

Two views of Melbourne only made possible by our interest in real estate.
Some Saturdays my wife and I locate and list some properties that will give us an idea of what we could get for our money if we decide to change our lifestyle. This has the added benefit of getting to see parts of the skyline that we would not normally see.
These 2 views from Saturday just gone are from different properties in different parts on the western edge of the CBD.
