How does it feel to be married to your sister?

I'm pretty sure I've explained this months ago on a separate post, but here is my version on how genetics work for the greek gods!

Basically, the gods themselves don't have "DNA". Sure, they can come out of their parents like how the average mortal being does. But they don't really have relatives like how you and I do.

The gods can basically date whoever they want. It's why Hades married his Niece, Zeus married his sister (and slept with his other sister... and also slept with his daughter.) Or how Poseidon has slept with his grandma Gaia (Gaia herself married her own son, so this sort of stuff didn't just start the first gods were born.)

You may notice that, like most people, I have my Zeus refer to Poseidon (for example) as "brother." Or so. It's more of a "Yeah, we came out of the same person, but really, I just care about you a lot" sort of way instead of them actually being full brothers by mortal standard

Persephone and Demeter are a special case. Both Persephone (specifically Kore) and Demeter spend their time in the same land as mortals, meaning that they are much more in sync with the ways mortals act. So Demeter and Persephone have a more human approach to how the gods act with their family relations (so basically Demeter was gagging at the mouth when Zeus and Hera got married and got even worse when Persephone was born and it was just a whole other level of fucked when Zagreus and Melinoe were- I'm just gonna stop talking)

Hi I'm a huge fan of your art and wanted to know a couple of things about your Polyphemus because he is just so adorable with that said...

1 can he change size like Poseidon?

2 can I braid his hair?

Aw, thank you so much! To answer your question Polyphemus can change size but not in the same way Poseidon does. Poseidon can grow larger or smaller to any size he wants but Polyphemus Can’t grow larger than his natural height and at his smallest size is still significantly taller than the average mortal.

And yes you can braid his hair
