redraw of touya's versus sprite .. they're such a creature to me

to ramble: i decided to characterize touya as more anxious / unsure of themself in my version because of the differences between their and touko's sprites. while touko has more dynamic and confident posing (holding her pokeball out to her opponent, hands on her hips, etc), touya's poses generally pull more inward. plus, they usually look a bit more reserved, with a smaller smile. hand in their pocket, and hand pulling down their hat. so, i decided to pull both touya and touko to opposite sides of the reserved-outgoing spectrum going on, LOL. touya is anxious, while touko is self-assured and confident.

my starting concepts for touko, cheren, and bianca ! admittedly i don’t have as many headcanons for cheren and bianca because i really like them as they are … but i did take some inspiration from stuff i read in the BW character design interview.

creating a separate sideblog for my BW fanon because it's got me in the trenches ... so i'll be posting here now !

replaying pokemon black and my brainrot is so bad that its gonna kill me ... so i made my own versions of touya and N ( & working on bianca, cheren, and toko). my versions of touya and toko are based on what little we can figure out in their sprites (posture, mannerisms, etc) and working from there :p
