strongly considering just paying someone to re-type my fan-fiction for me because this is doing my head in >< do i know anyone looking for an odd job? it would involve typing from photos i'd send you of my fan-fiction journal. you'd have to be ok with my handwriting & you'd have to be ok typing occasional smutty parts, & you'd *have* to be discreet & not share my WIPs with anyone

for context: the hard drive of my previous laptop overheated & i lost all my writing files on it. i write most of my first drafts by hand in my fan-fic journals & then type them. it's a complete pain in the ass that i need to re-type everything, especially since i work full-time, & that's why i'm lookin for a handy helper

some updates from your pal noah: I lost all my fic wips because sure enough, the data place couldn't retrieve anything from my overheated hard drive 😩 so it will be a while before there's any updates from me again. I'm pretty downtrodden abt it & tempted to give up 😌

started my new job- it's going well so far but the training course is rlly challenging. I didn't pass an assessment today & am feeling sorry for myself.. I get to re-sit in a few days, n half the class r in the same position too, but I'm still gutted

last but most certainly not least: tomorrow (so 2.5 hours from now) is the anniversary of my dad's death.. it's the worst day of the year for me by far & I'm gonna cry thru most of it whether I like it or not 💃

"I didn't comment on a fic I liked because I don't think the author would care or remember my comment anyway". fanfic writer here, I still remember comments I got on my fics from seven years ago. I still think about them and they still make me smile. your kind comments are what motivates us and what helps us keep writing.

I personally know writers who take screenshot and print out comments they got from their readers.

TL;DR comments matter to us writers more than you think. if you like a fanfic, never be shy to let the author know ♡
