too sleepy to elaborate at this time but I miss the old fandom culture of interacting with fanfic writers and fanfic artists as members of the fandom community who enjoyed engagement and discussion and feedback instead of the modern trend of seeing us as content creators up on a pedestal who don't need positive feedback but DO need to churn out constant content to feed the a03 machine

I'm starting to see AI art in fanart tags and even when they are tagged as AI art, people in the reblogs tagged it as fanart.

Let me just say this once. I don't believe AI art is fanart. The way things are, it's theft. It doesn't count. The effort that fan artists put into their works cannot be equated in value with whatever an AI generates. The works with hours of applied skill and originality and love put into them are the works I want to praise on this blog.

So that being said, if I ever reblog "fanart" that is ai generated, please send me a message or an ask and let me know so I can delete it off my blog.

So apparently some people new to Tumblr think a repost and a reblog are the same thing, so when they see creators asking for people to not repost, they're thinking the creators are saying to not reblog 😭

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Please, reblog fics/art/etc. that you enjoy! Reblogging is not reposting! Creatives need support too, and reblogging is a way to do that!

Summary: Zuko gets hurt during training but insists that he's fine. However, the new angle of his nose - and the honestly impressive amount of blood streaming from it - tell a very different story. So when he runs off, refusing Katara's help, it's Sokka who follows. Because Sokka and Zuko talk sometimes. And Sokka gets a fuzzy feeling in his stomach when they're alone sometimes. So, since they're somewhat close, it stands to reason that he can change his mind somehow. When Zuko actually opens up to him, Sokka is trapped between the fuzzy feeling of being trusted and the nausea of cold hard realization - because Zuko's refusal to get his nose fixed has everything to do with the mysterious scar covering a third of his face.
