me when ive been waiting for more s5 content for the past month and realize i can just make playlists and read fanfic and make a pinterest board

one thing i noticed is how mike and will refer to the amount of time since will’s moved away. every single time they say it’s been a year, when in reality it’s only been about six months

HOWEVER, when will is talking about “el’s” feelings, he says it’s only been a few months

if the duffers wanted consistency, they could’ve so easily written “this past year she’s been so lost without you.” but since will is now talking about el’s feelings, there’s no emphasis that el feels like she spent too much time away from mike.

unlike how mike and will say it’s been a year because they’ve felt lost, and things feel different when they’re not around each other. “it’s hawkins, it’s not the same without you.”

el’s issues have nothing to do with not seeing mike enough, it has to do with the fact he doesn’t express his love they way she wants him to

the painting plotline is gonna be the death of me. because wdym we waited ALL of volume one to see the painting only to be left on a cliffhanger. and during volume two will LIEDDD, sacrificing his feelings for mike’s crappy relationship. and mike seemingly believed it. and worse, mike KNEW that will was painting something for someone he likes, but we never saw him make the connection. and now i’ve been patiently waiting 3+ years for mike to figure out will lied and that his monologue was will’s feelings and not el’s.

my favorite part is that the heart in will’s eye looks like an outline, whereas the heart in mike’s eye looks like the filled in part

Reminder that they spent around a whole DAY filming the scene and as you can see they’re using artificial lighting here so EVERYTHING you see is intentional
