Alright. I'm done decorating this blog .. For now, anyway.

.. My Espeon has been staring at me ever since I picked up my phone. I think she's interested in this site, hah!

//Nyoooooom hey guys. Mod here. It turns out I'm not the greatest at doing event/story heavy blogs. As you could probably assume given my..........inactivity here. Lmao.

To be blunt, the whole PWT Arc and the subsequent arcs I've got planned feel like a lost cause, especially if I continue at the pace I'm at right now. I DO want to do things regarding Sabrina and her acting adventures, but I don't want to rush through things to get to the 'good part', or accidentally leave this blog to die right in the middle of a story sequence again (as i'm wont to do). SO. This blog will undergo a small reboot!

The lore for the blog will remain the same, it'll just be that all the 'events' i had planned are now just....things that happened in the past. I'll assume that most interactions Sabrina has had are still canon, but like. In a semi nebulous way, if that makes sense?

THAT IS IT. I'll still probably be extreeeeemely low activity but now I won't crawl out from a cave just to feebly push an event along before shuffling back into the shadows and disappear for another three weeks or w/e

Oh .. You've heard of me. That's quite an honor, hah.

Hm. I see. I've heard many stories about Lavender Tower, though I haven't visited it myself since the renovation. The whole thing was a rather .. interesting decision, I find- converting a gravesite into a radio tower of all things. But .. it's good to hear that the spirits aren't too restless there nowadays. Especially after the .. incident, yes. I remember hearing about that when it was all happening .. hm. It's truly a shame. Hopefully nothing like that happens again.

Haha, yes. You'll never want for good stores in Saffron. It's almost overwhelming. Though I would posit that Celadon has its share of excellent locations as well .. anyway.

That sounds .. fascinating, for lack of a better term. If disturbing. The first thing that comes to mind is a possible .. curse, involving a Ninetales? Though I'm not too familiar with the subject, to be honest.

And she appears on Route 8, you say? Hm. That's rather close to Saffron. Do you worry that she could pose a threat to someone?

Gym Leader Sabrina! Golly, it’s such a pleasure to meet you!

Oh yes! I’m actually in Kanto QUITE frequently these days!

Naturally, I went to investigate Lavender Tower right away. Since its conversion to a radio tower, it’s been rumored to be one of the most haunted buildings in Kanto.

When I went there I didn’t find TOO much of note beyond your usual mild haunting. It’s a pokemon gravesite, and pokemon don’t tend to linger and spite the way humans do. Most often a haunting by a pokemon’s ghost is more… Relaxed, I suppose? It’s usually in the form of a pokemon that has yet to realize it’s deceased, so its spirit continues to roam and carry out its natural behaviors.

There ARE exceptions, of course! I read about the marowak incident a few years back.

What WAS interesting was after my visit, I walking back to Saffron City (the shopping is better there, I’m sure you know), and there was a woman sitting by the side of the road wearing those robes channelers wear sometimes. She was crouched in fetal position with her face on her knees rocking back and forth. It was getting dark, and I wanted to make sure she wasn’t hurt or lost.

She was muttering “I’m sorry Ninetails, I’m sorry. I’m sorry,” over and over. Like a tape recording.

We were still near Lavender Town, so I asked if she’d lost her pokemon recently. She didn’t answer me.

When I tried to touch her shoulder she just… Jolted. Her head snapped up. AUDIBLY snapped like a cracking twig, and she was staring at me, but… Well, she had no face.

It was dusk, so fairly dark, but not THAT dark. I think she had thin eyebrows, but no eyes, and no mouth. The spots where her eyes should have been were smooth, but over her mouth the skin was twisted and dented like wet clay, like she used to have a mouth but someone had grabbed her lips so hard they squished together permanently.

She made a sound at me, like she was trying to speak through her fused mouth, and she got to her feet. She swayed so badly I thought she would fall several times, but each time she righted herself at the last moment by bending back upright like a bamboo stem.

I was still VERY close. She made another noise, and it seemed like she was trying to say “ninetails” with her tongue only, and she pointed at my face. My mouth.

I wasn’t prepared to handle this, so I hopped on my noivern and left. Naturally, she was gone the next morning.

You can see her at dusk on Route 8 sometimes. But now she screams and disappears when you blink. I haven’t figured out what to make of her yet.

0048/49 Venonat line

Venomoth are soooo dusty!! Did you know the colour of their scales can tell you whether it's naturally poisonous or paralysing? Yeah, learn THAT the hard one. Luckily Diana knows how to apply full heals to me as well as herself...

Another nocturnal Pokemon, so I spent some days sleeping and nights awake to track them, and then I got to sleep properly during the night so I could see them snoozing by day!

In order to carefully track and observe Venonat I had to travel pretty much in the dark. They are drawn to light quite powerfully and I didn't want to encourage them to be around me if I could help it. It's compound eyes do work like radar though so I'm pretty sure everyone I watched very much knew I was there lol

Venonat don't form groups most of the time, tending to come together only over a food source or for mating.

When sleeping they find a grassy place or bush to cuddle into, their eyes do not and can not close, but monitoring their brainwaves shows that they do enter an 'less active' state, waking only to check they are still safe, then sleeping again.

Venomoth on the other hand find a tree to cling to for their daylight snoozes. It's important to both of them to be as out of sight as possible, which is harder for Venomoth. It will often be startled away and spray powder before going to find a new place to settle. Lots of small sleeps is much better for them than trying or needing to sleep for a long amount of time which would leave it vulnerable.

.. Well. Giovanni's first match was today. I didn't watch it, but I heard the crowd was stunned. No one outside the Tournament knew about his appearance.

.. It is somewhat absurd, yes. It's not just with Routes, either—I heard that one time, a school in Vermillion had to cancel a football match because a Snorlax had decided that the field was a perfect place for a nap.

I could never live in Kanto 😭😭

In other news. Good morning. The Tournament resumes today .. at a far earlier time, too.

They're having a party in the restaurant, apparently. For the Tournament's first day and all. Maybe I'll attend.

I think that'll be my only fight for the day. They have .. what, over 40 participants? It'll take some time to get through the first rounds.

It certainly is. He plays much more offensively than you'd first think, I find. Most of his games only last a few turns .. I dare say he's more skilled at Chess than battling!
