Oc X Canon with Kyo and Blu, yup, she got a new design XD

First of my series of "Too many Nii-sans", this series is just for funsies, I'm both training to draw on the PC, to be faster on it and also testing my character design skills!

We start with the Kibutsuji Family!

Technically the Kibutsuji Family has more members of course, but I'll be talking only about this two.

Masaru is already very well known here on my Tumblr so I won't be saying much about him.

For Musumi, his story is longer, so, more lore under the cut!

Musumi was made on June 2nd , he was made as a joke, his status was of "Muzansona" as he basically was that anyways XD

But I got attached to his design + personality so I've decided to work a little on it!

Musumi is the older twin brother of Muzan, by six minutes, due his appearance he was immediately discarded as a potential heir, so he's basically the showing part of Muzan but he won't inherit anything after their father's passing.

Musumi from the start was always very much resentful of his younger brother taking everything while he himself wouldn't get nothing, but he also loved Muzan too much to be outright aggressive towards him, by Musumi's standards, manipulating, gaslighting and grooming Muzan, he shaped Muzan into becoming a hoarder, was always on plate so he always did that.

After witnessing just how much stronger Muzan has become, Musumi manipulated Muzan in giving him some amount of blood to become as strong as him, but to be a Demon King? Nah, he passed that.

Anyways, Musumi spent the next hundred years wallowing in fleeting amusements, drinking, women, etc., never really helping Muzan in anything, be it with the demons or with the Blue Spider Lily, so he's practically a parasite, a pest, in Muzan's words, that he unfortunately can't get rid of due something Musumi did years ago to help him to be more free nowadays, as much as he hate it, Musumi helped him more than any other Upper he ever had.

And Musumi is more than proud of himself by it.

Fun Fact

Kokushibo often tries to smooth Masato's fluffy hair down to make it more like Muzan's, since Masato is the one to resemble Muzan the most.

But it never works because his hair fluff itself back to its natural shape and because of Scottish genes.

As much as he hated it, there was no other way to keep an eye closer to Masaru other than make him participate in his research missions.

Muzan knew that, his older brother was never one to willingly go into "boring stuff", as he called them, alone, so, to ensure everything would be smooth with the brats, Muzan had to make sure Masaru would come along with him on those research missions.

Last week they were disguised as remarkable noble men, Muzan made all the lying part of the plan, their family unfortunately would inherit a serious skin condition that was passed down through generations, they could barely leave during day due that, the plan was perfect as always, of course, if you wasn't hearing complains coming from your older brother as he trash-talked about the choice of clothes, "Too tight!", "You can't barely breath ZanZan!", "Please, tell me we aren't going to dress like this every single night out for meet with the doctors!", it was driving Muzan crazy, really.

But today as he walked towards the place Masaru designated "The Playroom" for the Sextuplets, Muzan found himself stopping just at the entrance, because the scene he saw in front of him? Unbelievable.

There was his older brother, lazy sprawled out on the floor like a cat sunbathing with the brats all scattered but not so far away from their father, Masato was on top of Moriya, Mamoru was kicking Michio's face whose eletricity would come weakly at his fingers to show his annoyance, little Makoto was nestled against Masaru's side, the latter's arm being securely curled around the half-demon smaller frame, Manabu was on top of Masaru's stomach, they all seemed to be in a food-coma probably induced by Douma, he always seemed to enjoy playing with the little ones but he'd indulge way too much on their needs.

Muzan inhaled deep before talking, “ — Masaru.”, he looked at Masaru, tone confused but could be easily mistaken as disgust. “ — Yeah, baby brother?” Masaru looked at Muzan, smug as ever.

“ — What is this? Why are you on the floor like a lazy fat cat?” His voice dropped with more disdain and confusion, his eyebrow arching at every word, he could feel a migraine coming and a vein popping.

“ — Pfft, lazy fat cat?” He arched his own eyebrow and smirked at Muzan “ — You wound me with your words, baby brother.”

“ — Stop calling me that, Masaru.” Muzan hissed “ — Alrighty!~” Masaru's hands went up, mock surrendering.

“ — We have a very serious question here and you are lazing around like you have nothing better to do, your brats-”

“ — Kids!” Masaru cut him off

“ — Are interrupting everything we are doing.” Muzan kept his monologue, ignoring whatever Masaru said “ — I've ensured they would be safe with the Uppers and you still come around and for what?”

“ — They're still my kids ZanZan, I still need to watch over them, just because I'm helping you out on your research about the flower it doesn't mean I can't come back and fulfill their needs, I know your Uppers won't do all the work.” Masaru's voice was soft now, Muzan could tell, every single syllable coming out of Masaru's mouth was filled with love and... That was pathetic.

“ — Tch...” Muzan grumbled “ — Whatever, when you feel like being useful come meet me at my room, we need to discuss things.” When Muzan was about to leave, Masaru slowly got up, careful not to awaken Makoto and Manabu “ — Wait! I still have something to say, come closer here.”

Muzan stopped on his tracks and slowly turned his head to Masaru, the older demon was barely sitting straight, he was balancing on his elbows waiting for Muzan to come closer, it was an unbelievable view really, why bother not waking up those children? They could easily go to the Uppers and get themselves tired again, despite his better judgement, Muzan sighed and walked towards his mess of older brother, stopping just a little far away from him.

“ — Alright, I'm here, what do you want to say that you couldn't while lying down?” Muzan crossed his arms and tapped his foot, which drew a small laugh from Masaru at his younger brother's impatience, Muzan barely let out a growl seeing that reaction.

“ — Is that so? Well, then I'm leaving-” Before he could even finish the sentence, Masaru grabbed Muzan by his arm and knocked him over, incredibly none of this woke up or even hurt Manabu or Makoto, Masaru really had one of the best father instincts.

Muzan let out a yelp and what suspiciously sounded like a squeak at being pulled closer to his older brother's side, Masaru always was more physically affectionate than Muzan, maybe years of giving love and receiving it made him more stronger for it, Muzan thought with himself.

“ — There it is!” Masaru exclaimed happily, almost relieved. “ — Now we're all together in one big mess!” He laughed, the sound deep within, Muzan tried to get up, to swat away and scold Masaru for being so shamelessly disrespectful and outward affectionate with the Demon King, but... He didn't, instead, his traitorous body seemed to relax and seek for more warmth that Masaru was exhaling so purely.

Muzan sighed, half-lid eyes, it was hard to tell if it was because of exhaustion, annoyance or both, as Masaru randomly talked about things, Muzan found himself thinking, remembering, the past... As much as he wanted to forget it all, to move forward, to leave that damned past behind, Masaru being alive and here was making that impossible to happen.

That was when he remembered, he was small, smaller than an average 5-year-old his illness made everything on him so complicated, even growing up was hard but, with Masaru around it wasn't, Muzan was nestled closer to his big brother, face buried on Masaru's side like would a kitten with it's favorite blanket or mama, Muzan loved being closer as much as he could with Masaru, his brother's scent and warmth was everything he knew since he was a baby, it was grounding really, and little Muzan wouldn't dare let that go so easily.

In the present, Muzan opened his eyes again, Masaru's hand went to his head and started calmly and oh so lovely massage his head, Muzan could almost feel the earlier migraine and stress going away, that's when Masaru decided to talk.

“ — You know... You used to love this, just being closer to your big brother, like there are no more worries in the world...” He said, voice almost a whisper but so full of tender and love “ — I know things have changed ZanZan, but I want you to know I'll help you in anything you want, but my children always will come first... But that doesn't mean I don't love you any less.”

“ — You're being sappy.” Muzan replied, trying to save face probably, Masaru chuckled “ — Maybe, but I'm allowed to be like that, with them, or with you.” He smiled, so softly, so... Masaru.

Muzan, incredible so, buried his face deeper on Masaru's side, shame and embarrassment came at him like a wave in the ocean, as much as he hated that, he simply couldn't leave, not like that, not like he didn't miss this at all, but he be damned, he did missed this, he missed this with all his being, he missed just being closer to someone like Masaru, his brother, his first supporter, his helper, his everything... Muzan sometimes wondered if he had followed Masaru back then, all of this would be different, if he'd still try to conquer the sun, try to be the most feared being, to not be cut down, be humiliated years ago... If it would still be only him and Masaru.

Masaru pulled Muzan closer, sensing his baby brother's discomfort at those thoughts, he smiled again but no one was seeing it, he didn't mind though, because at that moment, it was only him, his brother and his sons, his family, and currently, he was the most happy man alive, and he hoped, that nothing could take this apart again, not when his babies were so happy, not when he was finally being closer to his baby brother more than ever, Masaru felt a shift, Muzan probably and then.

“ — You're impossible...” Muzan said, his voice almost a whisper, so childlike, so embarrassed even, Masaru chuckled softly “ Yeah... I love you too ZanZan.”

Ahhhh sorry for not replying earlier, Tumblr didn't notify me :((

Unfortunately I'm not accepting art trades at the moment because I've been pretty busy with irl things and it's making me back down on drawing a bit, next week I'll start on a new job and I need to accommodate myself with the working hours.

But thanks for asking! My apologies if the answer was disappointing, but due what's happening rn I fear that I won't be able to deliver the art in the average time I normally do finish one, which is around three days to a full week.

Wow, that is a lot of information, but I absolutely love it! Can you give me character sheets so I can draw Muzan's brother and his children doing shenanigans with Muzan and the upper moons?

By the way, what are the relationships with the children and the upper moons and Muzan? I bet it's chaotic lol.

And it's correct! The Sextuplets relationship with the Uppers and Muzan are a lot chaotic XD

Each Sextuplet was paired with a Upper by Muzan in order of birth so you have;

Masato (First born) with Kokushibo: Masato looks like a mini Muzan but has Masaru's personality, he's very mischievous and likes to prank Koku a lot, not that Kokushibo falls for them, he's just done, still, Kokushibo respects his Younger Master and protects him because of the hierarchy and because it was a direct order from Muzan.

Michio (Second born) with Douma: This duo is chaotic by its roots, Michio loves to run around and Douma indulges Michio's hyperactivity by letting him do whatever he wants, just not inside the cult, Michio makes a mess when he's running, though Douma does enjoy when Michio stays on his lap to nap or read, sometimes mid sermon lol.

Makoto (Third born) with Akaza: Initially, Akaza felt that being paired with Makoto was some kind of badly done joke, despite his looks, Makoto is actually very quiet and calm, Makoto just plays along when his brothers make him, otherwise, he's overall calm and sometimes pretty sleepy, Akaza dislikes when Makoto asks him a lot of questions non-stop because he doesn't know how to answer them, Akaza prefers to punch things actually.

Mamoru (Fourth born) Hantengu + Clones: Okay this whole group has a lot of things happening but I'll try to make it short.

Hantengu: He's always in his small form because he knows he won't do much, so he lets his clones handle Mamoru, needless to say that Mamoru likes to play with Hantengu when he's small, either way, Mamoru keeps him on his shirt pocket

Sekido: He tries to handle Mamoru, but since his Younger Master is very impulsive and sometimes explosive it's hard to control him around, Sekido's yellings are nothing when his Younger Master is more explosive by nature

Karaku: He'd indulge on Mamoru's competitive personality and pretty much let him do whatever he wants, as long the child is happy, Karaku doesn't worry much, of course, that is if Sekido isn't yelling at him.

Aizetsu: Surprisingly, Mamoru likes to stay around Aizetsu when feeling sleepy because Aizetsu soothes him sometimes, countering Sekido's yelling, Aizetsu does the silent protection of Mamoru, by far the second most responsible.

Urogi: Their personalities match, Urogi loves how competitive and impulsive Mamoru is and likes to grab him and do acrobatics while in air, though their fun sometimes is short because Mamoru is allergic to feathers and his explosions are no child's play.

Urami: Holds Mamoru like a hamster, Mamoru likes him because he's big and tall.

Manabu (Fifth born) with Gyokko: Manabu humbles Gyokko in a way that the latter never saw before, Manabu will straight up ignore some of Gyokko's more grotesque arts for food, and Manabu is a glutton, he's always eating, luckily Gyokko's BDA allows him to create fish-like creatures so he can feed Manabu, and yes, he eats them raw, Gyokko tries to get his Younger Master's attention to his sculptures but Manabu never does.

Moriya (Sixth born) with Gyutaro + Daki: Like Akaza, Gyutaro felt that this was some kind of joke, Moriya is everything Gyutaro isn't, soft, calm, polite, so when he was paired with Moriya, Gyutaro felt his jealousy coming up right away, but after Moriya introduced himself and treated Gyutaro as an equal his nerves calmed down a little, Daki immediately found Moriya cute and an incredible honor to watch over someone so important as Moriya, Moriya doesn't like when Daki pinches his cheeks though.

Sextuplets with Muzan: They love their uncle, and all of them think he's cool to some degree, they like when Muzan pays attention to them being studying them or taking them with him to the human world/grounds, Muzan on the other hand, has disliking to when the Sextuplets do things that they shouldn't be doing, but he tries to be composed while he sees them destroying his neatly made ranks of Uppers by being uncontrollable little gremlins with even more uncontrollable BDAs', Muzan has his favorites, Masato because he looks like him, Moriya because he's the smartest and Manabu because he's the most gluttonous of them and can eat human food.

And I did it again lol, sorry about the info-dumping XD

Ahhh, I'm glad you like them! They're a one big mess actually XD

But anyways, I suppose we could start from the beginning, both Muzan and Masaru were born in the Heian Era with Masaru being the oldest by three years, though, Masaru wasn't exactly a planned child by their parents, to cover up this "mistake" their parents had to marry in order to reestablish an honorable image for the family by having a legitimate heir, Muzan.

Despite being born as an unwanted child and having little to no support, Masaru felt annoyed and slightly jealous after hearing the news that he'd have a younger brother, so he tried to hate Muzan, key word: tried because the moment he saw his baby brother, he immediately fell in love with him and swore he'd protect him from day one, that is, after calling him ugly of course.

After that Masaru became Muzan's 1# Supporter, helping him in basically everything he could, as he grew up (and this is already a part of my HC) Muzan was basically left to do anything he wanted because his parents didn't care enough to discipline him correctly, so he grew up to be somewhat a spoiled bratty bully of kinds, but when he behaved like that Masaru would lecture Muzan and if in his tantrums Muzan happened to break one of Masaru's things, Masaru would give Muzan the silent treatment and not talk to him at all, which made Muzan be a little fearful of losing his big brother so he'd try to apologize and would come crying at Masaru to forgive him, I like to think that if he had someone who gave him enough support he'd be a little clingy with them.

Anyways, as the years passed, Muzan's illness worsened and Masaru was always by his side no matter what, Muzan seems to be someone who hates to be perceived as weak so when Masaru helped him out, for example walk, he'd snap instantly but after Masaru showing signs of not budging it, he'd just let him.

I think that we can skip the canon part because we know what happens.

After killing the doctor, Masaru helped him in both hiding the body and the fact he killed him, Muzan's health started to get better, after understanding what he was becoming he wanted to share this same miracle with Masaru so he turned Masaru into a demon as well, but with a condition: He'd need to move away to another place away from Muzan.

And this is when the miscommunication starts.

Masaru understood that he should move away from Japan itself, Muzan was starting to become colder and distant so Masaru took that as Muzan not wanting his presence anymore and so he did.

Masaru left Japan and ended up in Scotland, I would say by ship but I will still research to confirm correctly.

For the next years, Masaru trained himself night after night in solely eating animal meat and human food as well, since he didn't want to give in to his demonic instincts, needless to say that this took a lot of time, tries and sheer force of will, well, after that Masaru adjusted himself quite quickly in Scotland, he'd live in a distant cottage close to the forest.

Meanwhile, Muzan was conquering and terrorizing villages and Japan itself, still searching for the Blue Spider Lily, when the Corps was made and Yoriichi was already an adult, that was when one of the events that was mentioned in my first story that I posted about these two, the connection that Masaru still had with Muzan was abruptly cut off, Masaru immediately thought of the worst possible case, his brother had died, it was a big blow for Masaru so he spent the next few years wallowing in human vices like drinking and gambling.

During this time, Masaru met Ophelia, his late wife, he met her and they started talking, some time after dating and soon after, married, due Ophelia's influence Masaru got enough courage to actually go back to Japan and confront his buried past and unspoken grief, but only after Ophelia give birth to their baby (In their case, babies)

Anyways I think that it's safe to say that their relationship now is filled with passive-aggressive comments about each other and sibling bickering, a lot of sibling bickering, Muzan takes Masaru with him on his research trips about the Blue Spider Lily and leaves the Sextuplets with the Uppers, so Masaru won't worry much while away.

Masaru is actually happy to be close to his younger brother once again after years of not talking to him, he worries about Muzan and actually loves to tease him every chance he gets, Muzan doesn't seem to mind so he just keeps going, as for Muzan, he tries to convince himself that having Masaru by his side is only to help and that his nephews staying with the Uppers is a strategic plan to make them stronger once when they grow up, but deep down, very deep down, Muzan is just as happy to have his ever first supporter back again, he just didn't expected that his supporter would also bring a entire squad of little gremlins.

Whew! That was a lot! Sorry if it is a lot, but these two have my heart and I loved to work in their relationship from day one X3, some things mentioned here aren't in any of my comics because I've written them as Taisho Rumors! I just didn't post them yet, trying to find a good format to post all of them :D
