They’ll intentionally only see the flaws of Victor and Lucien or twist everything they do, but Gavin. Saint Gavin is always perfect, he’s always the ideal ‘loyal, sweet, so soft’ boyfriend who will be super understanding and is the only one who cares about CONSENT!

I remember when he lied and said he was definitely coming back when he had zero intention of doing so

I remember when he did exactly nothing to change her perception of him being a scary delinquent and couldn’t even man up enough to tell her goodbye himself, instead having Minor give her a letter she never even read because she thought it was a threat.

He’s such a super soft caring boy that he lets her be jealous all day and then yells at her. He’s so sweet and perfect good boy that he regularly bullies his best friend and angrily sulks because MC is stuck in a date she doesn’t want to be in by her aunt.

I like Gavin a lot! My nickname for him is ‘Puppy’ because that’s what he is. He’s precious and it hurts me to see him hurt

but let’s not flippin’ pretend he’s some perfect flawless choice while all the other boys are problematic, and you’re just weird if you like them more.

They all have their flaws, they all have their complications and imperfections, and they all have reasons to love them. gtfo with this idealized fantasy of him where he’s the perfect tumblr boyfriend who has no flaws and is the only one who respects the MC and respects her consent above all because he had his respect women juice.

You don’t even like Gavin if you can’t like him for what he really is.

The relationship of Male Leads and MC

One of the things I like about this game is that the relationships with the guys bring out different sides of Yōurán(MC)

Lucien and Yōurán are emotionally compatible. They share the same taste in literature and art and he is very skilled in engaging her in thoughtful conversations. (Also their love for sad love stories like The Little Mermaid - befitting for the most angsty couple in the game) In contrast their philosophies about evolution and morality are very different, and this later leads to conflict that hurts them both but they care about each other so deeply that they’re unable to let each other go. You can see how much she changed him(compared to Ares in chapter 21) and he went deep into her heart that she’s still willing to give him her love even after being heartbroken many times. 

Gavin and Yōurán share the same moral values. She inspires Gavin to walk the path of justice, became his beacon of life. She also makes Gavin take better care of himself, reminding him to eat regularly and tend to his wounds more often. Gavin also learns self-worth because she constantly tells him what an awesome person he is. Gavin has few interests outside of Yōurán but she always encourages him to try new things and tries to engage in his hobbies as well. She broadens his life to be more than just his missions. In turn, she is inspired by Gavin’s bravery and tries to become like him. Facing dangers head and putting herself out of her way to protect others like him. She always admires his pursuit of justice and tries to follow his example.

Kiro and Yōurán are such a fun-loving goofy couple. Things are never boring when they’re together, always finding things to get hyped up about and having the best of times. Personality-wise, I think they’re the most similar. They cheer each other up and Kiro is her sun giving her comfort and optimism. But his brightness came from her so she is his sun as well. Also, Yōurán is the only one who can notice Kiro’s “shadow” side. But she respects his boundaries and gives unconditional support and assurance that she will accept him no matter what, but doesn’t push him to reveal what he wants to hide. They are soulmates, always hand in hand since their days in the orphanage.

Victor x Yōurán is the classic example of opposites attract and dislike slowly changes to love. Things really didn’t start well between them, and Victor was so not her type that she has shown scant interest to Victor’s standoffish attempts to express his affections for her. Even after she became aware, she found it more awkward rather than reciprocal. Still, Victor respected her feelings and patiently waited until she finally came to accept him romantically. Victor challenges her to improve and become more competent. They are both hard-workers. In turn, she tries to get him out of his comfort zone and let down his walls. Engaging the stern, proper CEO to playing all sorts of silly games and giving him dorky presents. Sometimes, it benefits us to be a little less smart and a little more foolish.

It's almost been a month since chapters 22-24 were released and and since then, we've only got 1 karma event.

Not long ago, there was a survey given to MLQC players how they feel about the frequency of chapters update.

It's true that there were plenty of events just a month ago. They released the wedding event along with Gavin top-up SSR to give bonus to players who wanted to spend money on that event. A week later comes Kiro SSR event, I guess they rushed this one because they wanted to catch up to their 3 month cycle of new chapter updates. If you're reading the main story, you'd know it'd be awkward to release this event after chapter 24 so they rushed this come out. Not even a week later, the new chapters were released.

Now to set everyone's expectation. In Chinese server, it took 6 months to release the next update after chapter 24. They released two wish tree events and several dates in between. On the third month, instead of releasing new chapters, they released the westmoon event which is a three month event. You can get a SSR or two for free without paying and it gives a lot of bonus. However, the event requires the player to be actively grinding for 3 months. I guess it's good for players who wanted to take a break from spending.

I think at this rate, with only one SSR event released so far, players on English server might have to wait more than 6 months before the next chapters came in. I guess it's good to give new players time to catch up. Thankfully, the anime will air soon to give us something to discuss about MLQC while waiting for new chapters.

MLQC Recap: MC and Black Swan's objectives

(contains spoilers up until chapter 21)

So let's recap some events. We all know that MC is the most crucial element in Black Swan's scheme.

Although not as apparent, but Black Swan's goal has always been related to human evolution. 17 years ago, they conducted illegal experiments and turn normal humans into evolvers. So what is MC's role in all of this? In chapter 21, Lucien revealed that MC possesses the Queen's gene. Based on what Lucien said, her gene can be used as a shortcut to attain evolution. With this, we can assume that her gene can be used to turn a normal person into an evolver. If MC's gene is all what they need to evolve mankind, why not just kidnap MC and forcibly take her DNA?

So MC asked this same question. Why not just go directly to her? Why go all the trouble of inviting her to the hacker summit and recreate the set in the orphanage that happened 17 years ago? Gavin answered that what they're after is probably something that present MC doesn't have.

It's unlikely that what they're after is her gene because it's something she presently have. So what does present MC doesn't have?

To answer this question, let's take a look back to some of the things that Black Swan did in relation to MC prior to this scene:

Black Swan actions:

1. They attempted to hit her with a car in chapter 1. In a perfect timing, Victor saved her in the same way 17 years ago. Coincidence? Maybe.

2. They tried to shoot her twice (Chapter 6 and 7). Both times were blocked by Gavin though the bullets used weren't intended to kill MC. Gavin confirmed to MC that the bullets were not lethal and they contained hallucinogen. It seems that their goal here was to show visions and hallucinations to MC.

3. In chapter 8, They invited her to the hackers summit with the intent of showing her images that happened in the experiment room 17 years ago. But Kiro blocked MC's vision so she didn't see much of them.

4. In chapter 10, Black Swan invited both MC and Victor in a film set and recreated the events that happened 17 years ago. Victor remarked how awfully similar the orphanage was from his childhood. Because of this, he knew exactly where to go and find MC.

5. In chapter 9, Lucien who is a part of Black Swan hypnotized MC and showed her visions that happened in the past, particularly their childhood with the intent of making her remember her past which she has forgotten. Despite Lucien's efforts of showing them to MC, MC failed to recover her memories.

Based on all of this events, I can confidently say that Black Swan's goal is to make MC recover her lost memories. I believe that her memories of her 5 years old is what the present MC doesn't have right now. It's very likely that the hallucinogen from the bullets will show MC events that happened 17 years ago. Showing images of her past in the hackers summit and recreating the set were purposely done to make MC remember her past.

Conclusion:

MC's memories is crucial in Black Swan's scheme.

Unfortunately for Black Swan, nothing worked and MC still doesn't remember anything from 17 years ago.

But why do they need to make MC remember the past? The answer obviously lies in her lost memories.

(CHAPTER 1) ZHOU QILUO: The Reverse Side

There wasn’t a single light in the pitch black room. A man, wearing a mask, played with a gun in his hand. His gaze was fixed down at his feet and words came from his tightly closed mouth, as if he was tired of waiting.

“This is your last chance.”

His voice was low and the words covered this small space, like a thinly stretched net, and it contained a power that seemed to control everyone who was in this place. There was nowhere to run. Beside the door, a man completely in black from top to bottom unconsciously shivered. However, the third man in the room— Zhou Qiluo, with his head hanging low, didn’t respond at all.

Zhou Qiluo was kneeling on the ground and both arms were hanged up from the ceiling. There was a number of welts and marks on both arms. His clothes were disheveled and they stuck to his body in places where there was dried blood. He didn’t stir at all. Was he dead? Or was he sleeping? He blended entirely into the darkness. He finally raised his head when the gun touched his blond hair, but he didn’t say anything. There wasn’t even a look of fear in his eyes.

The hammer of the gun was cocked.

“Why did you help her?” The masked man spoke again. His voice was terribly cold. “Answer, traitor.”

Zhou Qiluo remained silent and tilted his head slightly, so that the muzzle of the gun pointed between his brows. He stared at the man in front of him without blinking. It was as if he wasn’t afraid of the man, the gun, and of death.

The masked man became angry and kicked Zhou Qiluo. He stepped on Zhou Qiluo’s shoulder with his shoe and fresh crimson blood seeped out from dry wounds. Zhou Qiluo reflexively groaned at the intense pain. His head struck the wall behind him and he bled from the back of his head.

The man laughed with satisfaction upon seeing Zhou Qiluo’s face twist in pain and then he mercilessly kicked him many times.

He placed the gun on the floor and then turned on his heel and walked towards the door. “Clean this up. Don’t leave any traces.”

Blood stained Zhou Qiluo’s blond hair red and it also dripped down from his forehead. For a second, the world seemed to be painted red. The back of the masked man disappeared beyond the door and then the man, dressed in black from top to bottom, picked up the gun and walked up to Zhou Qiluo step by step.

Zhou Qiluo grinned with meaning.

A low roar, resembling that of a beast, could be heard in the dark room. An unknown something descended slowly— in the next instant, the chains restraining both his arms disappeared. Zhou Qiluo coughed a little and then stood up with the help of the wall behind him.

His surroundings remained pitch black, but Zhou Qiluo knew clearly that his spirit arrived at a different “stage”.

A faint blue light appeared at the very back of the darkness. And then a voice, made to sound low, resounded.

“We meet again.”

(CHAPTER 2) ZHOU QILUO: Crafty Plot

The hospital corridor was narrow and there was no light. The only light on this floor was in a room beside the stairs.

Helios sat in front of a computer. His fingers tapped quickly on the keyboard and the screen displayed a massive program code. After a while, the screens switched off and then displayed the back of a certain man in the center screen. In that dark room, displayed in front of the man in the same place was dozens of monitors. What they showed was— the hospital courtyard. And in that courtyard was a shocking number of bombs neatly lined up. The man leaned back in his chair and looked supremely satisfied. He was waiting for the curtains to rise on his grand stage.

Heh. Helios sneered and then manipulated his computer again with familiar movements. The instant the second hand of the clock struck 12, Helios pressed the enter key. When he did that, the dozens of screens the man was watching showed a blaze at the same time. Smoke billowed up and then the hospital collapsed in seconds. The man in the screen showed a happily deranged smile and then got up and left the room.

Helios raised his head and, staring at the hospital in front of his eyes which should have been destroyed, smiled lightly and said, “Fool.”

Leaving the room, Helios looked over at the courtyard. The entire hospital was enveloped in silence. In the pitch black corridor, a terrifying darkness where even monsters could appear stretched to his feet.

However, Helios only gave it a glance and then started to walk towards the stairs. This wasn’t the orphanage. He was neither Experiment 1562 nor Zhou Qiluo.

Suddenly, there was a thunderous roar from the courtyard and the ground shook violently. There was a faint look of surprise in Helios’ eyes but he knew what this was immediately and ran towards the entrance of the hospital without hesitation.

Impossible… He couldn’t believe it was set up that quickly!

Fissures ran across the ground and swallowed up anything and everything. Helios ran at full speed and then jumped. The entrance was right in front of his eyes. But then he noticed an unexpected person standing at the other end of the corridor. It was obvious at a glance that she was in a panic but, even as she nearly tripped, her eyes stared intently at Helios.

Why was she here…!? Several emotions crossed through Helios’ mind, but he forced them down and only showed his anger. Dust rose and walls crumbled down. There was a small scratch on Helios’ face but he didn’t pay any attention to that and leapt out from the collapsing rubble.

The moment he pulled her into his chest he saw an unfamiliar him reflected in those surprised eyes of hers.

(CHAPTER 1) LI ZEYAN: Teacup

The moonlight shone loosely through the sky as if it were taking a stroll. Li Zeyan sat with his back against the wall in the small loft and stared intently at an utterly shattered cup. The broken shards were covered in dark red blood and they were damp with her tears from earlier. It was dazzling and oppressive.

The cup’s shards shone dimly underneath the light. Li Zeyan picked up the shards, which were scattered in various sizes, one by one and made the vague shape of the cup’s bottom as he compared the pieces and placed them down patiently. He didn’t become angry even when he was wrong and it was like he was carefully putting together a brittle and broken heart.

He gave a small sigh. The feeling of touching those tears earlier remained clear in his fingertips. Without reason, he suddenly remembered the day he had reunited with her. He remembered her resolute eyes when she declared she had a plan that would make him regret, her promise which was said with her chin thrust out in confidence at him, her quick wit when she invited him as a show guest, how she ate the caramel pudding he made deliciously…

She was extremely expressive then. She always smiled happily, as if there was light in her eyes. Whenever she was angry too she would puff up her cheeks like a blowfish and it made him unconsciously want to tease her by poking her. She participated in a charity party screening event and was so moved she cried. She was ecstatic when she learned Souvenir was open.

It was like traces of her appeared on the shards of the cup one after another. The grinning her, the acting spoiled her, the depressed her, the self-assured her, and the crying her.

The past her.

And then, with fingertips covered in blood, her pretending to be tough and holding back tears.

Faintly, the morning sun slowly rose. Most of the broken cup had been repaired. On the other side, his hands were in a terrible state and covered in small cuts.

Li Zeyan tilted his head slightly to the side and stared at the distant sky. He remembered the sights he had seen ten years later and a cold ray of light ran through his eyes. He furrowed his brows and then, looking down, began to finish the repair.

After a while, the broken cup regained its original appearance. Touching the traces of the uneven glue he showed a small smile, which the speckled sunlight illuminated. Then he quietly relaxed his shoulders and slowly drifted off under the call of sleep.

I will definitely bring back the past you.

(CHAPTER 2) LI ZEYAN: Retrospection

In 1908, the sound of the wind mixed with a deafening noise. Half of the sky was covered in a dim orange and a mushroom cloud wavered in the sky. The twilight sky was brightly lit up like it was night under a midnight sun.

The sound of an explosion followed after and jumbled together with the terrified cries and screams of people. These all echoed inside Li Zeyan’s head. The scorching air baked the ground and strong winds blew against the wreckage. When he looked into the distance, half of the White House had crumbled and the rising flames and wreckage were reflected in the eyes of the shaken people.

In that moment, an abnormally radiant light inside the explosion flooded the area. Li Zeyan narrowed his eyes to make certain of what that was but suddenly he felt a stabbing headache. However, he immediately focused his mind and held onto his conscious.

Noticing a young boy, roughly ten years old, close to him Li Zeyan quickly ran over to him.

“Are you alright?”

The boy who was staring straight ahead had a vacant gaze. Soon after, he blinked his eyes and shook his head, saying this. “I’m OK. What happened?”

“The explosion just now…”

The boy interrupted him with what seemed to be excitement even though he was confused. “What explosion? What exploded? Was it huge!?”

Flames were reflected in the boy’s eyes. It was as if everything was being consumed in fire.

“In 1908, there was an explosion at the White House in the United States. There were no casualties, but the people there testified that there was no explosion.”

The words of that man appeared in his head. Li Zeyan looked around at his surroundings and everyone in the area was the same as the boy, looking as if nothing had happened.

Amongst them there was a young man who looked familiar, but Li Zeyan couldn’t remember immediately whether he had met him somewhere or not. The young man was gripping a pocket watch in his hand. Then, with a complicated gaze, the young man left the spot.

Li Zeyan moved away from the area and entered a lonely alley. In that alley there was only the remnants of the night wind blowing through and no one was around.

Li Zeyan stood in that same city one year later. It seemed as if nothing had changed, except the only difference was that the people on the list he held had disappeared.

“There is no Vane here.” “Who is Chris?”

—It was like all traces of them had disappeared during the quiet of the night.

Li Zeyan steadily narrowed his eyes as if he understood something and, turning on his heel, he disappeared around a street corner. Out of nowhere, from the direction he disappeared into, there came the tune of a beautiful violin.

(CHAPTER 1) BAI QI: Overlooking View

The wind played a melody in the night sky and the lights of the city slowly disappeared as it fell asleep. For the first time in a while a calm night arrived.

Bai Qi leaned back against the stairs in a corner of a rooftop. His brows were drawn together, creating a furrow, as he absently looked over the night view. He hadn’t been able to get any clues from his surveillance mission of Black Swan and the interrogation of several members of Black Swan, who had been arrested in the radio tower case, continued to be at a deadlock. The despicable mastermind behind all this was still concealed as of yet in the dark, even though they might be waiting for their next opportunity.

Thick black clouds that even the wind couldn’t pass through covered the sky. Bai Qi raised his arm lightly and spread open his hand. An uncontrollable sharp black wind quickly passed through inside his usual breeze. He closed his hand into a fist. That tightly clenched fist automatically trembled.

Raising his head, there were shadows in his eyes and complicated emotions were reflected in them. Those eyes could see the sight of that girl acting strong while feeling anxious. It was transparent but distinct.

Now wasn’t the time yet.

Light returned to his eyes and exposed his resolve. He still had many things he had to protect.

Gradually, a quiet moonlight began to illuminate his surroundings from the gaps in the clouds. Faint laughter blended with the wind and it seemed to become an accompaniment to the night. His eyes suddenly stopped on a ferris wheel above the water. Several test lights blinked in the night sky and a thought appeared in his mind.

Riding the wind he came to the front of the ferris wheel and landed down in front of a gondola with a painted starry sky.

When he looked up and saw the building of her company, a soft smile instinctively spilled out.

A science museum, which had just been built beside the ferris wheel, was awaiting a grand opening. Staff were coming and going through its entrance, despite it being midnight, and were carrying out last-minute preparations and all sorts of arrangements. There were vague shapes of people on the street, making noise and enjoying themselves. The loud engine of a passing car tore through the quiet night breeze for a second and then sped off into the distance somewhere. It was as if color had been added to the darkness of a melancholic night.

He wanted to show this quiet but warm night to her too.

A staff member came out of a booth close to the ferris wheel. He stretched his waist, looking sleepy. Bai Qi stared at the ferris wheel and then, after some thought, he rode the wind to head to the staff member.

(CHAPTER 2) BAI QI: The Same Track

The streetlight broke and the surrounding area was enveloped in pitch darkness. Only the light from a cellphone showed the outline of man. Zhong Yi leaned against a telephone pole and occasionally looked at his phone screen. Several youths came close, laughing happily, and one of them unconsciously glanced at Zhong Yi when they passed by him.

When Zhong Yi raised his head and gave them a look, the young man took a step back in a conditioned reflex but then, after that, he instinctively looked at Zhong Yi again. He looked just like a normal person and only had a slightly burly body. However, those eyes… the young man turned his head and caught up with his friends to enter a convenience store.

The phone screen went dark along with the sound of a click and then darkness visited the area again. The dark, accompanied by several lights in the far distance, surrounded Zhong Yi.

As he stood there absentminded he could see a crowd of young people wearing officer uniforms come and go. They would do nothing but train day and night, hide in dark street corners, and slip through a rain of bullets.

One of the people in the crowd seemed very alone and they were similar to how Zhong Yi was in the past. They always had a disrespectful attitude and it was as if there had been a transparent wall that separated them from others even when they were in a crowd.

However, that person— Bai Qi was a bit different from him. Zhong Yi swiped at his screen with a thumb and a picture showing the smiling faces of a family of three was displayed. He had the weakness of a wife and child, but there was definitely a bond there. But for Bai Qi… Sometimes, Zhong Yi thought that Bai Qi must have some sort of weakness. However, that person was always a lone wolf. Did he have nothing in his heart except for the moon in the sky?

Zhong Yi had a certain gut feeling. That Bai Qi’s convictions might have been firmer than his and purer.

His phone screen lit up again and he received a single message. “Let’s meet and talk.”

Right now, what he was just about to try and do was—

“Roger.”

—break that unshakeable conviction with his own hands.

With just that single reply, the screen once again became dark.

(CHAPTER 1) XU MO: The Night Before

Underneath the dim moonlight, Xu Mo sat in a chair beside the window with a file in one hand. An investigation report on “The 1908 White House Explosion Incident” was recorded in that file. His gaze was pinned on the note “an explosion did not happen” and his fingers tapped out a constant rhythm on the desk.

Before he knew it, the situation was beginning to stray in a direction contrary to his expectations.

Several days ago, Xu Mo received a research report related to the current influenza virus from another laboratory. He added revisions upon revisions with all sorts of algorithms but he wasn’t able to obtain his desired results.

His trials all came to dead ends and it came down to one last thing…

Xu Mo suddenly recalled Schrödinger’s cat and the success rate of a reagent from a flash of inspiration. He also remembered those strongly declared words—

“The virus has spread like an explosion. The Reset Plan is proceeding smoothly.”

When he remembered those confident words, Xu Mo’s face grew all the more colder and severe. He interlocked the fingers of both hands beneath his chin and lightly closed his eyes. The thick clouds outside the window passed slowly and his shadow stretched slightly and disappeared, buried in the darkness. Only a pale moonlight in the corner of the room remained.

He looked at a calendar on the desk and confirmed that tomorrow was the news conference. Not all members endorsed this decision. There were some who didn’t understand the meaning of this announcement or its value. However…

There were times when it was better to place a bet.

His gaze turned to the invitation letter of the news conference that was placed on the desk. In that moment, the image of a familiar person appeared in his mind.

Her smile, her tears, her whispers, and her warmth.

He remembered everything. Only… all those sights in his mind were growing dull in color due to the erosion of time.

Xu Mo’s fingers unconsciously touched his right eye. There was no wound there.

—We will be meeting each other again at the news conference tomorrow.

At that time, the only color that remained for him would also probably be lost.

(CHAPTER 2) XU MO: Outside the Dream

Xu Mo slowly opened his eyes in the still and silent alley. Her face was buried deeply into his chest. He tried to move his hand but his shoulder stung a little and it took a short while before he could finally move.

He raised his head and looked around their surroundings. The faint light of a car at the end of the alley could be seen. He pressed his cheek against her soft hair. His mind was like the disturbed surface of a lake and nothing seemed real. He noticed that her clothes were stained bright red and, after confirming that she was uninjured, he brought her into his chest again.

Xu Mo moved slightly. He frowned at the haziness in his mind and then, picking her up, he went towards the headlights of the car that was stopped in the back of the alley.

Rain begain to fall outside the window and it showed no signs of stopping. She was laid down on her bed and was sleeping with what looked like an anxious face. Xu Mo gently stretched out his hand and traced the furrow between her brows. His eyes glimmered faintly in the dark of the night and, as he quietly watched her, it felt as if the flow of time became slower. An unknown amount of time passed before he finally left her, like he had never been there from the beginning.

The moment past memories crossed his mind, Xu Mo felt his heart contract. In the darkness, where no one else was around, the left side of his chest released an indistinct heat. He went to the end of a hallway, confirming his identity multiple times, and then went even deeper into a dim laboratory.

He sat down in a chair with familiarity and attached a device to his body. The electronic panel in front of his eyes displayed numbers one after another at a ferocious speed. In the blink of an eye, these abstract things became a waveform and was preserved.

How long had it been? There was a faint layer of sweat on Xu Mo’s forehead. Finally, he sighed, removed the device attached to his head, reached his hand out to bandages, and adeptly wrapped his wound which showed through his shirt. Then he quickly ran his eyes through the documents which had just been printed. These memory documents were stored in a folder labeled “Memory”.

The cold light of the monitor reflected off his eyes and gave off an inexplicable chill. However, the sight of a certain person floated into his mind like a revolving lantern and his eyes softened. But that was also for nothing more than a second.

Xu Mo knew, as he exited the laboratory, that there were still many problems awaiting him.

Anyone else think that this new update that lets us see everyone’s karma strength is a good strategy to make the players spend more money?

halllloooo!!! just saw your post about what mc's love rivals and how though the story doesn't emphasize much on them bcos making the mc feel more inferior is kinda unnecessary. This kinda made me wonder about the guys in mlqc and what would happen if they were all trapped in the same room at the same time and how they'd glance and size each other up, get all jealous and even ask MC who she's really with LOL

Apologies for coming in so late to answer. Some days ago, I found someone posted MLQC headcanon about how each guy would deal with jealousy. It was a good read. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it anymore. I would have linked it here.

 Honestly, if all guys trapped in the same room, I'd imagine Lucien would be the most level headed. I don't think he's the guy who would openly admit of being jealous nor show any hints of it. The fact that he casually strode inside the hospital room and act as if he isn't bothered by Victor being MC's guardian on chapter 11 tells me he wouldn't also be bothered to see other men who are interested with MC. I would imagine he'd even taunt all three of them while acting cool about it. (I'm not saying that Lucien doesn't get jealous, but he's most likely not going to show it in front of other people involved.)

 I think Gavin will be bothered to be with them. This guy gets jealous so easily. He's most likely to feel this inferiority complex among them. Victor would try to hide his jealousy but will fail and Kiro's probably either gonna sulk or be friendly.

 I really can't imagine how disastrous it would be. I know MC for sure will try to calm them down and wouldn't admit any romantic relationship with any of them. I'm actually conflicted about this. I'm hoping this doesn't happen in game because I don't want to be grilled by these boys. At times, I feel guilty playing this game because it feels like I'm cheating with all of them and I don't want them to fight each other because of me. At the same time, I also low-key want to see it happen just for the chaos, heh.

The fact that he's Gavin's little brother leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Gavin has always been utterly devoted to MC and seeing his younger brother suddenly swoop in and become a potential rival in romance just doesn't seemed right to me. There are already so much drama going on about Gavin and his family and if they mix some kind of rivalry between the brothers just because of romance, I might just gonna lose it. I trust the writers though. I don't think they'll mess things up.

Another thing I can't get over about Shaw is that this guy hurt MC and put her in a very critical condition. He also kept mocking Gavin for his "obsession" over MC.

It's really weird that we're stuck with him cause everyone doesn't remember MC but I really wish they redemeed him first.

Ok, i like Shaw as much as the next gal sure and i think his dynamic is a fun addition - but like now i’m an even harder Gavin stan because Gavin was there first and is SO BEYOND devoted to MC whereas Shaw is so clearly just another bad boy type??? just

Besides we already have the ‘bad’ sides to the boys (in particular Kiro and Lucien w their other personas) and they are quite well rounded and i dont know how they’re going to make Shaw ‘different’ from that typical bad boy thing if ygm? I feel like a badboy can be fun but when not one but FOUR guys are all so deeply in love with her it just doesnt fit imo???

Love Rivals of MC in MLQC (Contains Spoiler for chapter 14)

Would it have been nice if MLQC expounded on MC's love rivals over the boys?

The person on the right is Chik, a famous celebrity gal whose obsessed with Victor. I don't really like how she was portrayed as the typical mean jealous girl who instantly felt threatened by MC's mere appearance but even more than that, I think it's more disappointing that the game just left her out after this scene and never heard anything from her since then. What's the purpose of introducing a new character with a sprite? If I have to guess the purpose, the game probably wants us to show that Victor is some crazy chick magnet and the fact that he only has his eyes on MC despite having a hot girl drool all over him shows just how MC is really special to him.

The second picture on the left is a high ranking Black Swan member. As MC described, this person is very beautiful. She first appeared on chapter 14, the chapter right after Lucien's betrayal. After capturing MC, she gives a remark about how she seemed to see nothing seemed special about MC. Okay, I wasn't sure at first what she was talking about until she started implying that MC caused someone to sway. At this point, it's clear that she's talking about Lucien. Lucien was given a mission by Black Swan to lure and captuee MC but along the way, he's fallen to MC thus comprimising the mission. This Black Swan girl is clearly furious and jealous over Lucien's affection to MC. She's basically saying how can MC manage to sway Lucien's heart when there's nothing special about her anyway.

I'm not sure if the game will explore more about love rivalry in the future though.

As a player, I think it gives a bad feeling when you present a rival who has superior qualities over MC and even though the guy chooses you over the rival you despite being inferior, it doesn 't take away that inferiority feeling.

That's about it. Personally, I would love to see more love rivalry among the girls in MLQC and if they did, I hope it doesn't make MC feel inferior in any way. However knowing how much the boys deeply care for MC, it's not gonna end well for these girls anyway. They simply have no chance of winning the love of the boys from MC.

I think evol is one of the most confusing parts of MLQC. I wish we could get more clarification on how certain evol works. While many people are confused with Lucien’s evol, I’m actually more confused with Victor’s evol. 

So apparently when he uses his evol to stop time, evolvers aren’t affected. I’m actually curious if his ability to stop time works in their entire world or just affect a certain radius around him?

I was actually wondering if his power is just like Doctor Strange’s where he can turn back/stop the “sense of time” in a specific place. Meaning, time will still flow normally outside the place he isn’t controlling but he can prevent things from falling or bring back a place or an object to its earlier state without affecting the other things around them.

When Victor asked MC to answer the comments online about his restaurant, he stopped time so MC can finish answering the comments without wasting time. By the time she’s done, the time in the entire world is still the same. The way he used his power in this scene seemed like he completely stopped the flow of time in their entire world and not just the sense of time in their place.

Imagine if he can stop time in the entire world, you can imagine Lucien is just lecturing in his class when suddenly everyone stops around him and he’d probably think, “That damn rich guy is stopping the time again!.”

But I’d be honest, I think  time manipulation has always been a tricky power to dwell in even in most novels and movies I’ve seen. It’s why I think the writers of this story somewhat does not expound on it and they’re  limiting it’s uses. So far, Victor’s time control has only been used to stop time and time travel into another alternate world. Both ways were being used that does not change anything in the present that could create paradox. No matter what happens in the future he traveled into, it will not affect the present/reality he came from. He does not also show ability to reverse time to change anything that happened in the past. The possibility of time control is so vast but I guess MLQC will just stick to the safe path for now.
