No one deed is better than the other. Do what you do with sincerity and hoping for reward from Allah. He will magnify your reward for the smallest or most insignificant of deeds in the eyes of people.

Ibn Al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“Indeed the slave will come on the Day of Judgement with sins that are similar to mountains, then he finds that his tongue has destroyed it all due to plenty remembrance of Allah”

علمني ألمي ألا أحطم أي قلوب

My pain taught me not to break any hearts.

The hardship will pass, even if it is prolonged, and a calamity that has befallen you today has befallen you like it before and then it has been removed, so do not perish yourself, and Allah, your lord, will release it every time.

Satan does not want you to repent at all. But if he can’t do that, his next best plan is to delay your repentance. He tries to tell you that it will be easier later on. That’s a lie. The longer things go on, the harder it becomes to repent. Don’t wait. Do it today.

Protect your heart well. Don’t just hand it to anyone. The strength of your heart comes with the worship of the Almighty. Is your heart at ease when you’re alone? Do you always need to be in the company of others? Only when you remember Him often will your heart find peace.

اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَاَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلِلَّهِ الْحَمْدُ

“Allāh is the greatest, Allāh is the greatest, there is no God but Allāh. And Allāh is the greatest, Allāh is the greatest and to Allāh belongs all praise.”

Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:

‎"The less knowledge a person possesses; the more the devil will be able to deceive him."

The perfection of man lies in (acquiring) beneficial knowledge and righteous conduct, these being “the guidance” and “the religion of truth” respectively, and then in his (striving to) perfect these two characteristics in others, as He the Exalted says:

وَالْعَصْرِ ﴿١﴾ إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ ﴿٢﴾ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالْحَقِّ وَتَوَاصَوْا بِالصَّبْرِ ﴿٣﴾

"By Al-‘Asr (the time).{1} Verily, man is in loss. {2} Except those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth, and recommend one another to patience. {3}" - Sūrah al-Asr [103]
