Good evening! Here are my two 100x battle wins for Team Milk Chocolate (the first one occurred last night and the second one occurred about an hour ago). To the teams I had played with for these encounters, thank you.

Will Milk Chocolate win the Splatfest rerun? Probably not (we were last at halftime we would have needed a miracle to make a comeback from that), but at least I didn’t end this Splatfest empty handed this time around.

(In case anyone is wondering,the colors of Lila’s tentacles in this piece are based on the two most prominent chips received from one of my first runs with Agent 4’s palette: Range (orange) and Power (pink/red)).

Finally I won a 100x Battle for Team Lil Bunnies! (I was a little worried that I wouldn’t get a winning encounter before Springfest ended)

Ever since she made it to the surface, Lila’s favorite morning pastime has been watching the sun rise. Coral, despite not being a morning person (most inklings aren’t), will join her on occasion.

(Side note: this was originally meant to be posted on 4/8 day, but I had to postpone finishing this piece because a few of my Copic markers dried out)

Here are some old reference sheets for my Agent 4 (Coral) and my New Agent 3 (Nixie), respectively.

LORE DUMP INCOMING UNDER THE CUT:

In short, Coral and Nixie Gill are sisters who were raised in a small harbor town roughly an hour away from the Greater Inkopolis area by their parents (their dad runs a local salvaging company and their mom is a historian who commutes to Shellendorf Institute a few times per month for her job). Coral moved to Inkopolis Square at age 14 to transfer to a different school, and 5 years later Nixie convinced Coral (along with Coral’s roommate, Lila) to move with her to Splatsville as she needed a reliable roommate for her mom to allow her to live there (only for Nixie to get recruited into the NSS as New Agent 3, get challenged to a fight to the death by Deep Cut, and get sent to space all within the first month after the move).

Coral is a bit of a nerd who was quite shy and out of touch with most of the latest music trends when she moved to Inkopolis Square, but she became more sociable and broadened her tastes in music after she became Agent 4 thanks to Marie. She is still usually the last to hear about the absolute newest bands, though.

Nixie, on the other hand, is an extroverted inkling (with some of that extroversion coming off as sass) who developed a desire to find and learn about the history of old abandoned scrap (and ancient relics in general) due to her dad showing her some unearthed items from his salvaging missions. She is enamored by the chaos of the Splatlands, but tends to take her agent work quite seriously, especially during her first few weeks as an agent.

Another update on how this Splatfest is going for me. I got 2 more 100x battle encounters: a loss against Team Keyboard on Hagglefish Market. . .

And this roughly 30 minutes later:

And I got these battles without any festival shells on my end (heck I don’t even think I encountered a 10x battle since the first 100x battle win).

I won a 100x battle for Team Guitar just before halftime (I couldn’t get the float pictures taken before the new report though since the 100x battle ended like 2 minutes before the halftime report so enjoy these float pics post-halftime)

It’s Splatfest time, once again (and finally the NA region gets a regional Splatfest theme that I can conceptualize into a drawing instead of something like days of the week) , so here’s a drawing of my versions of the agents in a band based off the teams I can see them choosing.

If I had a nickel for every time my submission ended up tying with your submission, I would have two nickels: which isn’t a lot but it’s weird how it happened twice.
