This is Ríonach, He's a nord, originally form Morthal he went out traveling tamriel in his younger years. Now at 38 he finally makes his way back home.....only to be captured at the border after being caught at the wrong place at the very wrong time. Luckily for him it's the beginning of the end of the world.

If I can keep doing art and actually playing consistently I may end up with a whole storyline and everything 🙃 anyway this is a sketch of his horse Thistle and I can't draw proportionately when I zoom in for too long 🥲

Now that I think about it, the Greybeards are like strict parents to the Dragonborn:
“Where are you going at this hour?”
“Who have you been talking to?”
“Don’t spend time with those Blades. They’re too much of a bad influence.”
“Dovahkiin, go to your room.”
“You know we’re just looking out for your future.”
“I guess if Paarthurnax says yes, then it’s fine.”

TES Vampire Headcanons
The transformation is at best unpleasant and at worst painful: “Your mouth is dry, your blood boils in your veins while your skin turns cold as ice. Your body does not accept the blessing for what it is.” (source)
Vampires breathe, have a heartbeat and bloodflow, but it’s somewhat slower than that of mortals.
Vampires vary in skills, weaknesses and strenghts due to the existence of three different strains that divide even further into various bloodlines.
They can feed on animal blood, but depending on the strain it can weaken them to a varied degree and make it necessary to feed more often.
Typically a human-feeding vampire needs to feed every 3-4 days to avoid starvation. Most feed daily; and some vampires may need to feed less or more frequently than average.
They need to sleep, but can function without it for a longer period of time than mortals. Again, most choose to do it daily. Habit back from mortal life I suppose?
They can withstand temperatures lower than a mortal; and while cold doesn’t bother them, they do find warmth enjoyable and preferrable.
They tend to get drunk easily.
As sun isn’t a direct danger to them, they don’t have to sleep in coffins. But some like to - those are mostly ones of the strain weakened by sunlight.
I’ll make a separate post on vampire turning hcs later too!

Skyrim Headcannon: Shadowmere is far different from other horses
Like pretend all Skyrim horsss behave like real life horses but Shadowmere: They’re mostly silent, look at you from the side and not head on. Have horizontal pupils. Keep from danger, will buck you off if startled by a sabercat or wolves. More loyal horses will come trotting back to you when danger has passed but most horses you have to go looking for and have to calm them. They're startled by the Dragonborn's shouts and will run if not familiar with the Dragonborn.
What makes Shadowmere different from other horses (despite being a literal demon):
1. He looks at you head on and not from the side like normal horses (indicating that he's a predator). You've noticed him somewhat stalk the children in the village you have visited. He scares the war dogs and the chickens. The cows don't trust him and you don't dare let him near other horses.
2. He lacks horizontal pupils that most hooved prey animals have (he instead as circle pupils like humans). The way he views his surroundings reminds you of a wolf. He is calm, unworried, prepared to defend you if needed.
3. Shows way too much interest in the bandit/animal you've just killed (turn you back for a second and you might discover a bite out of the body and blood on Shadowmere's lips). You never see him graze. Sometimes he disappears from your homestead and returns bloody: You quickly note that the blood isn't his.
4. He doesn't run from danger (yes he's immortal and he knows it). Wolf? He charges. Dragon? Waits until it lands before charging. He caught and killed the bandit way before you even notced them. You have also discovered he can do damage to spirits better than you can.
5. He tracks better than a war dog (you discovered this by accident). Need to find a target for the Dark Brotherhood? The most recent location given to you by your client useless information? Shadowmere will find them before the sun rises. And he may or may not be more interested in killing them than you are.
6. You've never seen his teeth (and you kind of don't want to). He doesn't yawn, he doesn't accept the treats you try to give him unless you put them on the ground. You swear you saw him snip at a wolf and there was rows of black, dagger-like teeth.
7. He is more loyal than any war dog (not saying that your war dogs aren't loyal). He'd rather be at your side at all times. He doesn't like when you leave him at the stables so you can enter holds. He stands stand to your bed sack at your camp, you sleep better when he's with you at your camp.
8. Unknowing to the Dragonborn (you), Shadowmere was once female. Lucien tells you she must've died and was reborn. You're not sure if it's true or just the mad ramblings of a man who has been dead far too long.

Did You Know: There are usually four different spouse reactions types to houses you can live in; Arrogant, Neutral, Nord, or Orc? The reactions for a player-built house, for example:
Arrogant: “Fine, when we’re not fending off attacks by wolves. Or bears. Or giant spiders. Honestly, what were you thinking, sending us out here?”
Neutral: “Fine, love. I think the fresh air does wonders for all of us, and this house… it’s just perfect.”
Nord: “Fine, fine. Living out here on our own will take some getting used to, but I think it’ll be good for us.”
Orc: “Better than ever. Nothing like living off the land to teach you how to fight, how to survive. We’ll have a little warrior on our hands in no time.”
