Athlete
@wolfstarmicrofic prompt august 20
"God, this place is crawling with them," Remus mutters, bringing his cappuccino to his lips as he eyes the group of men bustling through the doorway to his favorite cafe. His favorite, quiet, non-assuming cafe.
Lily rolls her eyes. "Don't act like you don't love it," she teases easily.
"As a Parisian-- no, I do not love athletes invading my city. Go home," Remus replies snottily, making eye contact with one of the men in particular. Tall. Shoulder length, glossy hair. Sparkling eyes. Mouth-watering physique.
No. No matter how beautiful, Remus still wishes they weren't encroaching on his sacred space.
"Really? You want that one, the one who looks like he wants to eat you for breakfast, to go home?" Lily laughs, and Remus can't help but look back in his direction to catch his smoldering gaze.
The stunning man sends a wink in Remus' direction before turning back to the barista.
"Well... Maybe not that one."

Omg love
june 18 - saltwater - @wolfstarmicrofic - 504 words
Sirius always wanted to be on land. He watched from afar, his brother by his side. They were always mesmerized by the entire world separate from them.
Sirius couldn’t help but long to be on shore. He wanted to walk around. He’d have to learn how to do that, but he wanted to, so desperately. He wanted to meet all the other teenagers on land.
In Sirius’s pod, there were not very many other merfolk his age. They were all either ten years older than him or just children. Life in the ocean was boring for him. He only had his brother by his side, but even then it got lonely.
Sirius had always been reckless. It was a worry in their pod that he would do something impulsive and have them discovered. Sirius brushed it off.
Sirius bit his lip as he peeked over the rock on the surface of the saltwater. He was a while out from shore so he figured nobody would see him. He made many rash decisions but he would never put his pod in danger, not on purpose at least.
He sighed as he watched the boat rock from far away. Siriuss eyes zeroed in on the boy he’d been watching for weeks. A pretty brunette with warm eyes and jagged scars that splattered across his body like art.
He was everything to Sirius. He couldn’t explain what he would give to go to the surface and greet the boy. All Sirius wanted to do was talk to him. He seemed so lovely.
“Sirius?” Regulus’s voice was soft and nervous as he swam up behind his older brother.
Sirius turned to glance at him and then turned back to the boy on the boat. Regulus frowned and flicked his tail at Sirius to which Sirius jumped.
Sirius’s voice was annoyed as he spoke, “What?” He demanded, glaring at his brother.
Regulus rolled his eyes, “What are you doing?” he asked, eyebrows furrowed.
Sirius sighed and his eyes flicked back to the boy on the boat. He was grinning at his friend and they were opening up a cooler.
A different boy tossed Sirius’s boy a can of something which he opened with a pop and drank. He smiled and threw his head back laughing.
Sirius felt mesmerized by the boy’s laugh. He wanted to be the one causing it.
Sirius snapped himself out of it and his eyes flicked to look at Regulus, “I’m… I’m just looking,” he murmured.
Regulus scoffed and scooted closer to Sirius to look at the boat. He frowned and saw where Sirius’s eyes were.
Regulus’s voice was sympathetic when he spoke, “You can’t get your hopes up, Siri. Even if you did talk to him, which you can not, he would be scared by you. They always are,” he bit his lip as he looked into his brother’s eyes.
Sirius sighed softly and looked from his brother to the boat again. He frowned and nodded, feeling small.
His voice sounded pitiful, “I know.”

Pepperup Potion
@wolfstarmicrofic
"Psst. Remus!"
...
"Rem!"
"Fuck. Off."
"Wake up, you shit. I brought you something you may want," Sirius hisses, drawing the curtains around Remus' four poster after settling on the edge of the mattress. He pokes at Remus' cheek daringly, and anticipates the cat-like swat that's quickly aimed his way.
Sirius giggles. "I'm serious," he starts, earning a grumble in response. "I came prepared! I picked up reinforcements from the kitchen elves after supper last night. I know how hungover you tend to get."
Remus hears an unwrapping noise, and as the worlds biggest fan of anything food, he perks slightly. With one eye blearily open, Remus sees Sirius unwrapping two glorious pieces of toast, masterfully buttered and jammed just the way he likes.
He sits up instantly, snatching the toast out of Sirius' hands and diving into the first piece.
"Oh my god," he moans. "How is it still warm?"
Sirius gives a small smile. "Warming spell. They've been simmering under my bed all night," he laughs sheepishly.
"You absolute beauty. Thank you. My head feels like it's going to fall off right about now," Remus shudders. Sirius watches him intently as he eats. "What even happened last night? The last I can remember, Pete got a good smack from Mary after trying to kiss her and he knocked Lily's exploding snap into the fireplace-- What's wrong?"
Sirius' face has switched from quiet adoration to pure thunder in what seems like an instant, and with a huff, he grabs around in his pocked before slamming a small vial onto Remus' bed. He stands from where he's sat and brattily and crosses his arms over his chest.
"There, take your pepperup potion. Meet me at the greenhouse in twenty-- or don't! I take it you don't remember our plans, then, since we discussed them before bed."
Remus shakes his head in confusion, hangover momentarily forgotten. "Sirius, what's wrong? I didn't--"
"What's wrong? What's wrong?! You mean to tell me you really don't remember anything after Peter's smack?"
"Hey, I didn't mean--"
Sirius lets out an exasperated huff and yanks the curtains open, letting in a disturbing amount of light to Remus's poorly eyes, and takes off towards the door.
He's quickly halted with nimble fingers around his wrist. Green eyes staring into icy blue.
"Let me rephrase. I don't remember anything after you brought me upstairs, pushed me against the wall in the corridor, and-- mmph!"
Their lips make a light, glorious noise as they separate.
"So you do remember," Sirius sighs, smile unknowingly taking over his flushed face.
Remus rolls his eyes playfully. "As if I could forget."

I haven’t been this obsessed with a fic in a while, and it feels SO GOOD.
(one more snippet, and then i promise you'll get an update)
“Your friends need better poker faces.”
“If this was a card game, I’d be takin’ their money, that’s for sure…” Remus trailed off, amber eyes darting everywhere around Sirius’s head, cheeks turning rosier by the minute, and Sirius desperately wanted to make it worse by kissing him in a crowded room.

hi, so i have read your fanfic 'camp wolfstar' a million times. i know its been about two years and a few months since you have updated it. but i would really enjoy another chapter...or five.
i love your writing and i hope you consider. thank you. :)
God, two and some years since I’ve updated. It sounds so terrible to actually put into perspective.
I’m sorry to have written so much just to skip town on this story. I really didn’t mean to, but it became overwhelming to me at a certain point. I still have my outline, and not to get anyone’s hopes up, but I might edit it down to make finishing it a bit more achievable for myself. I began working on my own personal fiction writing (non fanfic) which just switched my gears out of writing fanfic for a long time. But I’ve been in the mood to pick this story back up, so we shall see where we go from here!
Thank you for your compliments, it means so much to me! And lookout for a potential update in the future ;)

Slytherin Sirius, Year 1.
Sirius decides to sit next to Remus in transfiguration. It’s one of the only classes Slytherin shares with Gryffindor, and for once, Sirius doesn’t mind sitting near the front, especially when Remus appears rather boggled by his presence, gazing up at him with his big, brown eyes.
“Alright?” Sirius asks.
Remus nods very fast, and clears parchment from the desk next to his, a faint blush painting his dark cheeks. They were meant to be doing their work in pairs, but Potter had opted for Pettigrew’s obnoxious company, and Evans with Snivellus. Remus had stayed by himself, muttering at the string they were meant to be turning into a feather.
“Is that yours?” Remus says, when Sirius settles comfortably in his chair, pointing at the lovely, colourful peacock feather he had easily managed earlier.
“Yeah.”
Small fingers pluck it from his hands, smoothing over the vibrant blue and green.
“That’s amazing,” Remus murmurs, rather breathlessly.
“You’re doing the movement wrong,” Sirius offers, nodding towards Remus’ string. “You have to make the turn really sharply at the end.” He demonstrates with his own wand, pleased that Remus is watching so intently, following the movement beneath his curly lashes.
Sirius has never seen a boy with lashes like that. Or perhaps he hasn’t bothered to notice. The children his age at functions and parties were always dreadfully dull, and cried something awful when he set their robes on fire for a bit of fun.
“I did it!” Remus gushes, tugging at Sirius’ sleeve excitedly. He beams at Sirius. It’s a genuine grin, unlike the subservient smiles that the boys in his dorm offer him, bootlicking from the moment they heard his last name is ‘Black’.
“Thank you,” Remus continues happily, unbothered by Sirius’ blatant staring, “you’re fantastic at transfiguration. I would have never gotten it without you.”
For the first time in Sirius Black’s entire life, he blushes. It’s a small tinge of heat on the apples of his cheeks, and he shrugs his shoulders and lounges in his chair to cover it up.
Remus hasn’t even noticed, chattering along happily to Sirius about a word he had heard shot his way many times before, ‘prodigy.’
——-
Sirius invites Remus to the owlery with him, and Remus’ stomps loudly up the stairs with no shame, almost physically vibrating with excitement at the prospect of being invited somewhere. Sirius watches him from the corner of his eye, and tries hard not to grin.
“Hootem actually likes you,” Sirius explains, when Remus immediately asks if he can pet him, “that’s why I invited you.”
He whistles, extending his arm to catch Hootem’s significant weight, accepting the affectionate head rubbing at his cheek. Hootem mouths at his lips, and Sirius kisses him quickly, glancing warningly at Remus.
“You didn’t see that.”
Remus blinks.
“What?” He asks, obliviously.
Sirius barks out a laugh.
“Here,” he says, shuffling closer to Remus.
Hootem’s eyes droop, feathers fluffing out when Remus strokes a gentle finger down his back. Sirius watches approvingly. He doesn’t usually let others touch Hootem, even if he tolerates them. He doesn’t trust their rough hands and lack of basic empathy.
“He’ll deliver your letters, if you want him to.” Sirius doesn’t look at Remus as he offers this. “The school owls can be rather slow.”
“Are you sure?” Remus blurts out incredibly loudly. He blushes, and slaps a hand over his mouth.
Sirius grins at him.
“I’ll tell mum and dad about you,” Remus says seriously, in a strained voice that suggests he’s trying hard to moderate his volume. “They’ll love you, and Hootem. But I’ll tell them not to touch him, just to leave some water and treats out for him. My mum will probably send raspberry cookies, if you want to share those when they arrive, they’re really yummy.”
“That sounds nice,” Sirius replies, kissing Hootem’s head, and watching him flutter back to his perch.
Before his bravery is sucked away by the nice boy with the too big eyes and toothy smile, Sirius jams his hand in his pocket, curling his fingers around the soft feather he had spent an hour making into a quill the day before. He offers it to Remus quickly.
“Oh,” Remus breathes, “is this for me?”
“Yes, Remus.”
“It’s beautiful!”
“I’ll see you in class, okay?” Sirius says, kicking his feet against the straw littering the floor.
“Okay,” Remus says, without taking his eyes off his new quill. “Bye, Sirius.”
“Bye, Remus.”

Cannot wait for this one
Gang, I don't mean to over-promise but I have had several little squee moments while re-reading the first draft of chapter 5.
I've got a horribly sociable weekend but I'll try to get it out.
