I had a theory at the time of s1 (before reading the other books) that Daniel had actually stumbled across Talamasca after his first meeting with Louis in the 70s and that somehow he never stopped looking into vampires or supernatural creatures and that this might have sparked a certain interest in Talamasca, plus the idea that Alice would definitely be a witch… when I read the other books and understood the idea behind people saying that David and Daniel were mixed up in the series, it was then that I held on even more firmly to this crazy idea…

And also, how strange it is for Louis and Armand to have let Daniel run around freely, knowing that he has met two vampires and even knows their names and faces. Daniel with his memory intact would be an open door for any other vampire to dig into his memories and find Armand and Louis in them, so I think that saying that Daniel might be involved with Talamasca or some other person who knows about vampires wouldn't be crazy at all.

Throwing some guesses out here. Daniel's interaction with the mystery man suggests a degree of familiarity. Perhaps this is the reseracher he mentioned in s1. Perhaps the Talamasca tracked down young Daniel in the 70s and kept in touch?

Since they're planning the Talamasca spin-off show next, it makes sense to start introducing/crossing-over characters.

i was thinking if Kojima uses the two years later scheme to release DS2 for pc, that means the game will arrive on pc in 2027 probably together with the release of OD… i'll still have to wait until 2027 to play this game… i'm so fucked :D

Actually it seemed like it was going to mostly adapt mgs1, with some elements of the other games in some of the concept art. What looks like a dream sequence with big boss in the flower field where the boss died, and some others i cant remember rn.

I honestly dont know if it will come out, but i feel like jordan vogt roberts is a good choice for director, he seems to be a big mgs fan and very passionate about the series, so I hope so.

I really like oscar isaac, he was fucking incredible in dune, so I think talent wise hes a good choice, but I am curious about how they'll handle big boss and the other two les enfants tbh. Im glad that a bisexual poc actor is playing david at least

I have a bit of a controversial opinion, but I do wish they had picked a japanese american actor for the role of david (and also the other snakes too) it's kind of a deep cut, but i always liked the lore about big boss and the clones being japanese americans in the msx game guides (bb partly grew up in a japanese concentration camp before meeting the boss) Theres enough ppl that either dont know or gloss over it, that i think it would have been really cool to do that for a movie adaptation, as I feel like its important to their story and relationship with america and its politics

I hope it comes to life soon, then. I'm particularly curious to see how it turns out in general. My fear is that Konami will use the adaptation to "compete" with Kojima in some way, now that DS is also getting a live action. So I hope Konami itself doesn't get in the way of all this, because MGS is very important.

Well, we did have Oscar Isaac confirmed for solid snake in the mgs movie a few years ago, but it seems to have been in development hell since then

Most of the other actors in roles I'd be particular about arent alive anymore, so that doesnt really help with fancasting tbh...

Oh, do you think this movie will ever come out? Like, it seems to me that it would only be about MGS4 then... Or? Sorry, I haven't read anything about the adaptation yet, so I don't know.
