Windy Drawings
27 posts
I love windy weathers, and these are my simple drawings about people, mostly girls, facing, struggling and enjoying windy weathers. Sometimes I draw pictures of my own windy adventures as well, of times when I've faced and enjoyed crazy windy days and many times have had my hat blown off by the wind! It's so exciting when you see and hear a large gust of wind rushing towards you, just to greet you with it's refreshing fury. And even more exciting when you don't know when a huge gust strikes that blows your hat, scarf or umbrella away, only to leave you watch the wind playing with them in the air while your shirt's big collars flap against your cheeks!

Sandy’s Cape, Part 2
"My hat!", Sandy yelled as she started running after her runaway hat. The big hat kept flying and rolling around in the air as Sandy kept running after it, the wind blowing hard on her back and blowing her cape, dress and hair forward. Her hat kept blowing away higher and higher as she tried to reach for it, but the wind was blowing so hard she lost her footing and stumbled down, while the hat flew far away.
So Sandy had lost yet another hat to the wind. Good thing she had a plenty of different extra hats at home. But right now her biggest problem was bracing against the wind while it kept trying to blow her dress up. Sandy held on to the fastener and collars of the cape as it felt like slightly choking and like the whole cape could snap off. She faced the wind and leaned forward, unable to see clearly as the wind blew at her face and flapped the collard against her face. Sandy tried her best to keep her footing, but then a huge gust of wind blew her down mercilessly.
The wind had pushed her down on to ground, while blowing her dress over her head. Slowly she started standing up, but her dress, cape and hair were completly out of control and she couldn't see anything, although all the blowing fabric against her upper body and face felt wonderful. Eventually she managed to get up and push her billowing dress down for now, but the wind was tugging even harder on to her billowing cape, making it extremely hard to stand against the wind. Sandy bravely braced herself against the wind while holding on to her cape, with it's collars furiously flapping against her face and her hair blowing upwards. But she couldn't stand against the storm's might as with a huge gust she was blown back and picked up off the ground.
The wind blew Sandy into air just like it had picked up her parasol and hat earlier as well. Sandy screamed in surprise as she realized what was happening and saw the ground far down. She was now completly at the wind's mercy, being flown in the air and getting even further away from the ground.
Sandy tried to get control on her flying and grab on to anything just like last time she got blown away with her friend Katrina. But with no avail, as the wind made her roll around in the air, with her clothes and hair completly out of control. Many times her dress got blown over her head, making things even more difficult.
Some moment flying in the air at wind's mercy, Sandy seemed to get an idea. She started to reach for the billowing hems of her cape. She managed to grab on it with her right now and now reached with her left hand as well, while the cape's collars flapped and ruffled against her cheeks and her blowing hair got into her face some times as well. But then, she managed to do it.
Now Sandy was holding on to the ends of her cape with both hands, using the cape like a sail. Sandy laughed as she now had more control on her flying and she was able to feel like a bird flying in the air. She saw the windstorm blowing throughout the land below her, ripping some trees down and flying a lot of depris and clothes in the air alongside her. Sandy wondered how far she's going to end up.
After some time flying in the air, the wind started to die down a bit. The storm's full strenght was now behind. Sandy started to slowly fall down back to the ground, gliding with her cape. Behind her upwards bellowing cape she was able to see the ground and land smoothly. The wind was still blowing strong, but was much milder now. Sandy wrapped her body around her billowing cape, looking up to the sky from her flapping collars and hair. Such excitement she hadn't experienced before and she was happy and thrilled for experiencing a storm like this. "I can't but just amaze and respect how powerful you can get, wind. But I still love you.", Sandy sighed happily as she enjoyed the remaining strenght of the wind caressing her.
Later it turned out she had gotten many kilometres far from her home, but luckily she was able to get back home eventually, to get prepared for more windy days. This wild experience Sandy will surely never forget.

Sandy’s Cape, Part 1
Another Sandy comic, again with text to go along with it:
One day Sandy was just relaxing at her home, combing her long, corgeous blonde hair until she heard loud grumbling and roaring sound outside. She looked through the window and her heart started to race as she saw a big windstorm raging outside and banging at the windows. Very excited and happy about this, Sandy rushed to the window and opened it, letting the wind blow inside. Sandy was overjoyed as the wind blew at her, making her very long hair blow around, while behind her making a huge mess inside the room as papers and clothing started flying around and knocking furniture over. "Wow, what a storm! I have to go out to enjoy and experience it! First I'll just get some better clothing first quickly.", Sandy giggled happily as she rushed towards the wardrobe while unbuttoning her shirt. The wind kept blowing around the room and flying around Sandy's hair, also grabbing on to Sandy's shirt as she unbuttoned it, wanting to take it to flying as well alongside all the other flying debris in the room. Eventually Sandy let the shirt at the wind's mercy as she entered the wardrobe.
"Let's see now... A large dress of skirt, something with large flapping collars... And a big hat... Yes, let's try these!"
Sandy ended up wearing a big, fancy pink dress with short balloon sleeves, a full and large red satin cape with large collars, and of course a big, large brimmed red hat with pink ribbon, matching with the cape. She also picked up a big white parasol as she opened the door and walked out into the storm.
Sandy had to grab on to her hat immetiadetly as she got greeted by the furious wind, but she just laughed at this while her hair blew all over the place, dress and cape started billowing around with it's collars flapping at her cheeks. Sandy started walking in the windy field, the wind blowing hard against her back. Her parasol was still closed but Sandy was already struggling with the wind as it kept tugging on to her cape and hat, but she didn't mind this at all and just kept enjoying this as she proceeded forward, guided by the wind.
Then Sandy decided to open the parasol, which was surprisingly easy with just one hand, (her other hand being busy with keeping her hat on) as the wind helped to blow it open. As Sandy now walked in the wind with the big opened parasol, the wind started grabbing on to it hard as well. With a big gust, the wind blew her hair in her face and smothered collars of the cape in her face as well so furiously she couldn't see very well, but she definetly felt as the wind blew harder on to the parasol, forcing her hand to move around with it. But she managed to put the parasol back in control eventually. She changed direction and started walking against the wind, now her cape and hair blowing behind her. She held the parasol infront of her but was struggling to keep it at bay while also struggling with the same issue with her hat. But she was still enjoying the wind and found this struggling exciting. Then the wind started to make the hems of her dress rise up while making her cape billow and snap loudly. "Oh dear...", Sandy giggled at this situation, as she couldn't grab on to her hems because her hands were already busy with trying to keep her parasol and hat at bay. With more gusts, the wind blew her dress completly up, revealing her underpants and totally blocking her vision. Sandy screamed at this but turned it into laughter as she felt the billowind dress smothering at her face. The wind was also blowing her hair and cape upwards so the dress was free to fully blow into Sandy's upper body. Sandy felt all her clothing and especially her parasol, now having been blown inside out, being tugged by the wind, making it hard for her to keep her footing. She tried her best to stand against the wind but then with a loud "wooooosssshhhh" she lost her footing and stumbled down on to ground, while loosing grip from the parasol. The parasol now flew high into air in the wind.
While the parasol flew in the wind like a kite and far away, Sandy started to stand up while the wind still blew her dress over her head. Slowly but surely she stood up against the wind and started to push her dress down. While she had lost the parasol, at least she had kept a grip on the hat. But Sandy just laughed happily as she felt the wind blowing at her back while she kept pushing the dress down, her hair blowind around under the hat and the cape billowing and snapping with it's collars of the cape flapping against her cheeks. Holding to her hat with both hands, she turned to walk against the wind again, as she had decided to go by the cliffs nearby to feel the true strenght of the storm.
Sandy kept pushing through the wind, holding tightly on to her hat while feeling tugged by the billowing cape behind her. She just enjoyed the wind blowing at her, while looking around the windy field. She saw grass waving and trees bending while a lot of different debris flew in the air; leaves, hats, umbrellas, papers, etc. And in the distance she saw some other people struggling in the wind as well. Some of the possibly enjoying this wonderful windstorm as well.
Eventually Sandy arrived at the cliffs by the sea, where the wind was blowing even more furiously indeed. She held on to the brim of her hat and held on her dress with the other as she faced the strong wind blowing from the sea. She saw dark clouds on the horizon and waves on the sea crashing against the cliffs. Sandy just stood there, admiring the fury of the windstorm and letting it blow at her, blowing her hair, cape and dress around. The wind kept blowing and blowing, making her clothes billow and snap even more furiously and making it difficult to keep her hat on and dress down. Sandy just giggled at this, deeply enjoying this while the cape's collars flapped, ruffled and smothered at her cheeks and whole face as the wind kept blowind stronger and stronger.
Sandy closed her eyes as she enjoyed the wind, forced to hold even tighter on to her hat and keep her dress under control. Sandy could just heard the howling and roaring of the powerful wind and her clothes flapping and snapping loudly and loved it. But she didn't notice a huge wave of the storm coming towards her from the sea. The storm was about to get even stronger. Even stronger winds arrived to Sandy and started to blow with all it's fury at her. Sandy gasped in surprise at this as she felt the strong wind pushing at her hard, making her clothes billow even more furiously and the collars of the cape smothering furiously at her face. Her hat rose up from her head but her grip on to it held, but she had to bring her other hand to hold on to it as well as the wind kept grabbing hard on to it's brims. Sandy did her best to stand against the wind and hold tightly on to her hat. But the wind was simply so strong it made her grip on to her hat loosen up and then with violent gust it blew her hat off her grasp. Sandy gasped at this and looked behind her, seeing her hat flying away.
